Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the impact of audit committee financial expertise, audit quality that is proxied by external audit firm size, and profitability on real earnings management. The method used in this research was purposive sampling with a total sample of 59 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). The type of data used was secondary data acquired through financial statements extracted from www.IDX.co.id. Data analysis methods used in this research were classical assumption analysis, descriptive statistical test, f test, t-test, and the test of determination coefficient. T-test was used to test this study's hypothesis. The final result of the study showed that audit committee financial expertise and audit quality proxied by external audit firm size do not have any significant effect on real earnings management, while profitability has been shown to have a positive effect on real earnings management.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study that aims to consider the effect of retail Sukuk on the collection of third parties funds (TPF) in Indonesian Islamic Banks for 2015 - 2019. The data used are secondary data retrieved from Islamic Banking Statistics Report for shariah commercial and unit shariah bank quarterly. The method is multiple linear regression analysis techniques with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach, using TPF as the dependent variable while Retail Sukuk, ROA, Promotion Cost, Inflation and Bi rate as the independent variables. The results show Retail Sukuk has a negative and significant impact on the collection of TPF which is intended that retail Sukuk is causing the decrease of TPF amount in an Indonesian Islamic bank. Therefore the Indonesian government needs to review the policies related to retail Sukuk issuance in order to synergize with the development of Islamic Banks. Other results indicate that ROA and promotion costs have a positive and significant influence on TPF collection in Indonesian Islamic banks while the BI rate is the opposite.

Abstract

Purpose this study analyzes the effect of the industrial production index, the dollar exchange rate, inflation and the BI 7DRR on the amount of zakat collection from January 2015 to December 2018to identify the potential of zakat to support alleviation in Indonesia. Methodology approach: This study uses a quantitative approach with a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) data analysis technique with time-series data from Januari 2015 t0 December 2018. Findings: The results show that in short term causality, there is an effect between long-term and short-term between zakat as the dependent variable with inflation and the dollar exchange rate. However, there is no short-term causality effect between BI 7-DRR and IPI to the amount of zakat while the long-term causality effect, all independent variables have a significant effect to the dependent variable namely zakat. Implications: The integration of Islamic philanthropic institutions has the potential to channel aid and support to alleviate poverty. This study adds the IPI variable to interpret the GDP variable in analyzing its effect on zakat.

The data obtained were processed using Microsoft Excel 2018 and Eviews. The sampling technique with purposive sampling technique. The results obtained after a study of 85 respondents using multiple linear regression analysis models explained that there is an influence of participation in budgeting on managerial performance. Budgeting can act as a planning and performance criteria, where the budget can be used as a control system to measure managerial performance. This means that participatory budgeting can be assessed as a managerial approach that can improve the performance of each manager as an individual, and reward does not affect managerial performance. Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the impact determinants and the parabolic effect of managerial ownership on a firm's performance. The model consists of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, family ownership, leverage, asset growth, dividend policy, business risk, and firm size. Purposive sampling is used on non-financial companies in the Indonesian Stock Exchange with a total observation of 539 firm years. The panel least square is used to analyze the determinants of performance while Panel EGLS is used to analyze the parabolic effect. The study finds that managerial ownership, institutional ownership, dividend policy, and firm size have a positive and significant impact on the firm's performance. Contrarily, some variables e.g., family ownership, leverage, and asset growth have a negative significant impact on performance. Business risk is not able to prove a significant relationship with performance. Further, the study shows a parabolic effect of managerial ownership, therefore, it proves a model for reducing agency conflict on corporate financial decisions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Cash Turnover, Inventory Turnover, Receivable Turnover, and Working Capital Turnover on Profitability in Consumers Manufacturing Industry Manufacturing Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The research method used a quantitative approach, the type of descriptive research and its cumulative causal nature. The research population was 50 companies and the sample was 14 companies with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques by means of documentation and sources of IDX financial statements. This study uses a multiple linear regression test before testing the data hypothesis and is tested using the classic assumption test. The results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination obtained R Square value of 0.152, which means the variance of the profitability variable that can be explained by the variables Cash Turnover, Inventory Turnover, Receivable Turnover, and Working Capital Turnover is 15.2% and the remaining 84.8% is explained by other variables. This research shows that simultaneous cash turnover, inventory turnover, accounts receivable turnover, and working capital turnover has a positive and significant effect on profitability. Partially Cash Turnover has no effect on Profitability, Inventory Turnover has a negative and no significant effect on Profitability, Accounts Receivable Turnover has no effect on Profitability and Working Capital Turnoverpositive and significant effect on Profitability.

Abstract

In this time, the countries can be said to be in a good condition of the national economy if there are some indicators in positive economic macro, it is including the decline of inflation, the amount of money circulating is also declined, and the exchange rate strengthening against foreign currencies and reduced interest rates. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causality and cointegration relationships of economic macro variables, by using time series data for 2010-2019 and using the VECM model. The results of the study found that there is no causal relationship between inflation and the BI rate. Likewise, the variable money supply does not affect the BI rate. The exchange rate also does not affect each other on the BI rate variable. Causality test results also indicate that the money supply does not have a causality relationship to inflation, while the exchange rate variables influence each other on inflation. To exchange rates, it does not give affect in the variable amount of money in circulation each other. By explanation of the estimation results of the VECM model, it shows the long-term and short-term relationships of each variable generally.

The goal of this study is to analyze the effect of financial performance and macroeconomics on the stock price of the consumer goods industry. Panel Data Regression is used in this study to analyze the effect of financial performance and macroeconomic on the stock price. The result of this study shows the liquidity ratio (CR) has a significant and negative effect on stock price, while the profitability ratio (ROE) has a significant and positive effect on the stock price. Macroeconomic inflation and exchange rate have a significant and positive effect on the stock price. Firms with a high liquidity ratio (CR) have to control the liquidity ratio because in the long term high liquidity has a negative effect on stock price so the stock price may decrease. Investors need to compare the financial performance in order to make a good decision.
