Abstract

Abstract:This study examines the impact of audit committee characteristics on the level of voluntary disclosure in the annual reports of listed Indonesian firms. Audit committee characteristics are: financial expert, meeting number, and diligence. Content analysis is used to collect the required data from the2013 annual reports of 201 non-finance firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.The method of data analysis is multiple regression. This study employs agency theory as underlying theory. The results show that audit committee characteristicshave insignificant effect on the level of voluntary disclosure in the annual reports. Voluntary disclosure, financial expert, meeting, diligence.

Abstract

The research was conducted to observe the implementation of risk management in analyzing the contractor before issuing Surety Bond guarantee by the insurance and continue as the basis for the issuance of Bank Guarantee (KGB) by private banks and BUMN, because there are still contractors who do not perform their obligation to finish the work causing the claim bank guarantee product. The study was conducted by direct interviews to underwriting insurance issuing Bank Guarantee Cons (KGB) products. The study population amounted to about 67 insurance companies registered in Riau province. But not all of them publish KGB is only 5 general insurance companies, the determination of the number of samples is done by using the sampling area.

Abstract

Abstract: Along with the increasing creativity of retail business people impact on the increasing frequency of competition for market share. With a variety of promotional strategies offered, it is expected that consumers who become the main target can be affected and make purchases Impulsive. This study aims to determine the effect of Store Atmosphere and Promotion on Impulse Buying through Shopping Emotion as an intervening variable on Supermarket con- sumers Halimah Lytech Home Batam Center. Data analysis technique used is path analysis, with sample of 100 respondens by using Accidental Sampling technique which is part of non-probability sampling. The results of this study explain that shopping emotion indirectly can affect the relationship between store atmosphere and promotion of impulse buying at Halimah Supermarket. Abstract

Abstract: The existence of microfinance institutions in rural areas plays strategic roles to boost the community socioeconomic development. Microfinance Institution of Rural Economic Enterprises- Savings and Loans (LKM UED-SP) of Bengkalis Regency, until 2016, has been able to develop both cumulative and current year loans volume. The development has also occurred on the poor household loans which continuously increasing every year. The numbers of debtors according to genders have shown a positive development. The average of male debtors were 28,283 people with the ratio average of 66.20% , female debtors were 14, 517 people with the ratio average of 33.80%. In addition, 538 of the debtors were from poor families with the ratio average of 1.28%. Among the business sectors, the debtors including several sectors such as trading, agriculture, plantation, fishery, animal husbandry, small industries and services: with the highest sectors nominated by plantation of 51.96%, trading of 30.77% and service sector of 6.28% - while the other sectors were below 5%. The government capital ratio was in average of 93.72% and from the current year profit of 6.28%. The number of female staff developed in average of 204 people each year. The development on productive business loans was in average of 57.72% and poor household loans of about 32.79%. The staff’s productivity was about 105 people per staff with the  average  loan  volume  of  Rp.  1.344.881.683,-.  The  average  of  staff’s incentive reached Rp. 1.173.720.029,- with the ratio of Rp. 2.558.789,- per staff. Keywords: Micro Finance and Social Performance

Abstract

Abstract: The global economic crisis has led various global financial ins- titutions suffered losses. Banking ratio measurement is useful to assess the risk base bank rating and growth of banking. This study aims to determine whether there are significant differences between risk base bank rating of foreign banks and joint venture banks before the global crisis until after the global crisis. The risk base bank rating is measured using the ratio of CAMEL. Total population consisted of 23 banks; 15 joint venture banks and 8 foreign banks. In hypothesis testing, different test of Mann Whitney was used. The research proved that the risk base bank rating of foreign banks and joint venture banks before and during the global crisis, during and after the global crisis, and before and after the glo- bal crisis did not have a significant difference. Keywords: CAMEL, Foreign, Joint Venture, Banks, Crisis.

Abstract

In the globalization Era, it is word wide accepted that the total of carier women is significant in numbers, in accordance with Educational level, they could have important, positions. They could work in many areas, even higher than men workers. Thus, this is be coming challenges for married and carier women as well raising children. Current research entitles analysis of determinant factors of carier women on raising children pattern in Pontianak. Carier women and having chidren are charged as research respondens and as many as 6o respondents randomly taken, as others criterions working in private sectors, single carier maried women with children. Linier regression analysis is used to analyze the data, the findings showed that, the internal factors show a strong significant factor to affect the carier women on raising children pattern 73,9%, while 26,1% was inflrenced by the external factors. Statistical output also described that women level educations plays crucial role in raising chidren pattern.

Abstract

Abstract: This research investigated the model of budgetary participation to leadership styles. This model which is more focused in examination of previous research on job performance and job satisfaction with transactional and transformational variables as moderating variables is based on research by Adler   and   Reid   (2008).   SEM   techniques   used   to   collect   data   from questionnaires in the SKPD of the Yogyakarta Provincial Government, Indonesia. This research finds to explain that the behavior of executing the budget on transactional variables has a interaction which (between leader and follower) is a synergy making job relationship. The transformational variables in this research find the interaction which leader and follower are not in line in the job process and the results indicated the possibility of worsening on the job. This research purposed to meet that it is can contribute positively to the concept and build harmony between behavior, budget participation, and leadership style in budget participation. Keyword: transactional leadership, transformational leadership, budget participation, job performance and job satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstract: Research entitled The Success of "Yuk Nabung Saham" Program by Indonesia   Stock   Exchange   in   Increasing   the   Sales   of   Capital  Market Instruments In Indonesia is a descriptive study aimed at knowing what exactly is the program Yuk Nabung Saham and how much investment people invest in Indonesia capital market in 2016 with the program Yuk Nabung Saham. Yuk Nabung Saham was launched on 12 November 2016 by the Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Muhammad Jusuf Kalla. Yuk Nabung Saham there is a campaign that invites the people of Indonesia to invest in the capital market through share saving. Currently there are 37 securities companies that have been working with the Indonesia Stock Exchange to join the Yuk Nabung Saham program. Data obtained from Indonesia's Financial Services Authority in 2013 and then compared with data in 2016. From these data recorded the increase in literacy and financial inclusion that initially 3.79% to 4.40% and0.11% to 1.25%. In addition, there is also an increase in the number of activeinvestors of Indonesian society in the Indonesian capital market which was originally 12.88% to 16.29%.

Abstract

Abstract : The purposes of this study were to analyze the influence of consumerattributes, brand awareness attributes, and brand image attributes simultaneously and partially on the brand equity of higher education institution inBengkalis, the effect of brand equity on the decision of choosing a highereducation institution in Bengkalis, and the indirect influence of consumerattributes, brand awareness attributes, dan brand image attributes throughbrand equity toward decision of choosing a higher education institution inBengkalis. The population in this study were all 2,819 active students enrolledat three higher education institutions located in Bengkalis Islands. Thesamples were 100 students with the sampling technique used was Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The research data were analyzed usingpath analysis and processed using SPSS for Windows version 17. The result ofanalysis showed that the consumer attributes, brand awareness attributes, andbrand image attributes jointly affect the brand equity of higher education inBengkalis. Individually, There is also an influence of consumer attributes,brand awareness attributes, dan brand image attributes toward brand equity ofhigher education institution in Bengkalis. In addition, the results obtained alsoshowed that there was an influence of brand equity on the decision of choosinga higher education institution in Bengkalis, in which, the higher and the morethe quality of brand equity have will directly increase the consumer's decisionto choose a higher education institution and vice versa. Beside that, The resultof analysis also showed that the better and  higher the quality of brand equity,the better the influence of consumer attributes, brand awareness attributes, danbrand image attributes toward the decision of choosing a higher educationinstitution in Bengkalis.Keywords : Consumer Attributes, Brand Awareness Attributes, Brand ImageAttributes, Brand Equity, Decision Choice.

Abstract

Abstract: This purpose of this study is to examine the effect of organizational culture and locus of control, on the performance of district governments. The population in this study are all of working units Bengkalis District Government and purposive sampling is used as sampling method. This study uses questioner for 183 respondents. The analysis technique used is the technique of  path analysis   using  SPSS  version  17.0.  The results showed  prove that  organi- zational culture affect on the performance of district governments, and locus of control affect on the performance of district governments. Keywords: Performance, Organizational, culture, Locus Of Control (LOC), district, governments.
