BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan is one of the scientific publication media, which publish the article related to the result of research or study in the field of Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. Focus and scope of BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan, as follows: - Pure Mathematics (analysis, algebra & number theory), - Applied Mathematics (Fuzzy, Artificial Neural Network, Mathematics Modeling & Simulation, Control & Optimization, Ethno-mathematics, etc.), - Statistics, - Actuarial Science, - Logic, - Geometry & Topology, - Numerical Analysis, - Mathematic Computation and - Mathematics Education. The meaning word of "BAREKENG" is one of the words from Moluccas language which means "Counting" or "Calculating". Counting is one of the main and fundamental activities in the field of Mathematics. Therefore we tried to promote the word "Barekeng" as the name of our scientific journal also to promote the culture of the Maluku Area. BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan is published four (4) times a year in March, June, September and December, since 2020 and each issue consists of 15 articles. The first published since 2007 in printed version (p-ISSN: 1978-7227) and then in 2018 BAREKENG journal has published in online version (e-ISSN: 2615-3017) on website: (https://ojs3.unpatti.ac.id/index.php/barekeng/). This journal system is currently using OJS3.1.1.4 from PKP. BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan has been nationally accredited at Level 3 (SINTA 3) since December 2018, based on the Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan, Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi, Republik Indonesia, with Decree No. : 34 / E / KPT / 2018. Abstract

Stillbirth merupakan kematian fetus setelah usia gestasi 20 minggu dan sebelum persalinan, tanpa adanya tanda kehidupan setelah lahir. Permasalahan bayi lahir dalam keadaan meninggal merupakan problem yang masih menjadi tugas bagi pemerintah dan perlu perhatian secara khusus untuk diselesaikan. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk meninjau faktor penyebab yang paling dominan secara signifikan terhadap kematian bayi, khususnya terkait permasalahan stillbirth pada Puskesmas yang terletak pada pusat kota Aceh Timur.Data yang akan dianalisis merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari puskesmas Idi Rayeuk dan dinas kesehatan kabupaten Aceh Timur. Pada penelitian ini, penulis akan menganalisa faktor-faktor yang signifikan serta berpengaruh terhadap stillbirth dengan menggunakan anilisis regresi logistik biner. Respon pada kasus ini bersifat biner yaitu hidup dan mati. Metode regresi logistik digunakan untuk memodelkan variabel respon serta mencari hubungan antara variabel respon dengan variabel prediktor. Model regresi logistik binner untuk menggambarkan hubungan antara stillbirth pada ibu hamil dengan infeksi kehamilan, cacat bawaan, kondisi kesehatan ibu, dan usia ibu adalah . Berdasarkan model regresi logistik biner, dapat dinyatakan bahwa dari empat variabel bebas yang di analisis untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kejadian stillbirth pada ibu hamil, menghasilkan bahwa variabel infeksi selama kehamilan yang paling mempengaruhi terjadinya stillbirth pada ibu hamil yang sampelnya diperoleh dari puskesmas Idi Rayeuk dan dinas kesehatan kabupaten Aceh Timur. Ibu yang mengalami infeksi kehamilan 2 kali lebih berpengaruh dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tidak mengalami infeksi kehamilan terhadap kejadian stillbirth pada ibu hamil.

Abstract

This study applied the Markov chain model on the daily temperature and relative humidity data that was collected from the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency station in Majene district for the period 1983 to 2011. This study aims to analyze the comfortable level category in the Majene city based on the Temperature Humidity Index by calculating the probability of steady-state, the mean residence time and the mean first passage time. Categorizing the level of comfortable which is based on the Temperature Humidity Index consists of three categories, namely the comfortable, quite comfortable and uncomfortable. The trend of comfortable levels in the Majene city from 1983 to 2011 was fluctuated in the categories of quite comfortable and uncomfortable. Uncomfortable category occurs in October and November each year. The steady-state probability values indicates that the quite comfortable category has the highest chance of appearance, which is around 70%, and the comfortable category has the smallest chance of appearance, which is only about 5%. Meanwhile, the mean residence time and the mean first passage time indicate that the quite comfortable category have the longest duration of occurrence, which is around 5 days, and has the shortest duration to recur after occurring in the previous event, which is around 1.43 days.

Abstract

If the characteristic polynomial of a linear operator is completely factored in scalar field of then Jordan canonical form of can be converted to its rational canonical form of , and vice versa. If the characteristic polynomial of linear operator is not completely factored in the scalar field of ,then the rational canonical form of can still be obtained but not its Jordan canonical form matrix . In this case, the rational canonical form of can be converted to its Jordan canonical form by extending the scalar field of to Splitting Field of minimal polynomial of , thus forming the Jordan canonical form of over Splitting Field of . Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan aplikasi Swishmax dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi prisma dan limas. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen (Experimental Research), dengan desain penelitian Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes akhir yang terdiri atas tiga soal berbentuk uraian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan statistik uji-t. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII3 sebesar 37.86 dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII4 sebesar 21.84. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan bahwa data pada kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang homogen, selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji beda rata-rata atau uji-t dan diperoleh nilai sig (2-tailed) < α atau 0.003 < 0.05, sehingga menyebabkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan aplikasi Swishmax dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi prisma dan limas.

Abstract

The development of artificial neural networks is related to statistical and biometric analysis which is one of the applications that can require artificial neural network models. Recognition of facial patterns is an important part of identifying a person. The face can be divided into areas such as the nose, eyes and mouth. Face pattern recognition is a research area that can be applied to the principal component analysis (PCA) method. The training process carried out by the eigenface calculation uses PCA and the results of this study show that facial pattern recognition based on the proportion of memorization and generalization for the use of the method without PCA is better than facial pattern recognition using PCA. Pattern recognition without using the PCA method, the level of memorization and generalization reaches 100% at the 40th iteration and 0.0099 error with a learning rate and momentum of 0.8, while facial pattern recognition using the PCA method, the memorization and generalization level reaches 100% in the iteration. to -1000 and error 0.00103 with learning rate and momentum 0.9.

Abstract

The gamma distribution is one of special continuous random variable distribution with scale parameter and shape parameter where is positive real numbers. On some conditions the gamma distribution astablishes other continuous distributions which are then called special cases of the gamma distribution. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the properties of gamma distribution and the characteristics of the special cases of gamma distribution by analyzed the theories from literatures. The properties of gamma distribution include expectation value, variance, moment generating function, characteristic function, and estimation of gamma distribution parameters with the moment method to earn the special cases of the gamma distribution are Erlang, exponential, chi-square, and beta distributions.

Abstract

In the globalization era, almost everyone uses the telecommunications in everyday life. The dependence on telecommunication service provider forces the service provider industry to expand the network and offer affordable promotions for all levels of the community. Based on that, “PT. Telkom Indonesia Tbk” as one of the Indonesian companies in the telecommunication sector, must have a strategy of promotion in selling Indihome internet products.This research using the Analytic Hierarchy Process to determine weights from many promotion criteria and various alternatives, and then, using Goal Programming to find the minimum cost promotion by choosing alternatives based on the criteria. The result of this research is obtaining eight effective of nine existing promotional program.

Abstract

Rubella is a common cause of childhood rash and fever. It is typically a mild infection but it can be serious condition in pregnant women, as it may cause Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) in the fetus. The study aimed to model and analyze it in order to get picture about the dynamics of the rubella virus transmission. The paper discussed two models of rubella transmission involving child-bearing age women and newly born infants of infected mothers. The models are SEIR-IR without seasonality and SEIR-IR with seasonality. The results from the first model showed that a pitchfork bifurcation occurred in the dynamics of the solution of the system with constant infection rate and the increase of the infection rate value do not make impact to the incidence of rubella among infants. The second model involving seasonality gave interesting dynamics where big seasonality may lead to a more complex dynamics of the solution.

Abstract

In the paper [1], it was given a function which belongs to the bounded Stummel modulus classes but not in Stummel classes. The given proof of this function properties in that paper was not obvious and very concise. By using the countable linearity property of integral, polar coordinate of integration, other properties of Lebesgue measure and integration, and some observation on the geometric property of the open ball in Euclidean spaces, we prove in detail the properties of this function.

Abstract

Euler-Cauchy equation is the typical example of a linear ordinary differential equation with variable coefficients. In this paper, we apply the alternative method to determine the particular solution of Euler-Cauchy nonhomogenous with polynomial and natural logarithm form. An explicit formula of the particular solution is derived from the use of an upper triangular Toeplitz matrix. The study showed that this method could be finding the particular solution for the Euler-Cauchy equation
