Abstract

This paper explores the development of the new Arabic loanwords in the Indonesian language during the second half of the Reform Era. The study examines primary and secondary sources to identify recent Arabic loanwords, which conclude six relevant words: ‘kalas‘, ‘qurani‘, ‘islah‘, ‘kafah‘, ‘ajib‘, and ‘harem‘. The analysis reveals that kafah and ajib have been added recently to the online dictionary edition, Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI). The KBBI identified kafah as an Arabic loanword, while ajib transformed its vocal articulation and is now recognized as a loanword. The research also sheds light on the influence of Arabic on the Indonesian language. This paper contributes to the understanding of the development of the Indonesian language and the role of loanwords in shaping the language. The study's findings also highlight the importance of language standardization and the role of dictionaries in shaping and reflecting the linguistic landscape of Indonesia.

Abstract

Students who experience problems when carrying out learning cannot come to school for a certain reason, cannot receive learning material and cannot carry out learning on that day. That is because the difficulties of students in understanding learning make students less understanding of the lesson, due to a lack of innovation in learning at school. This study aims to increase enthusiasm for learning Arabic by using the use of the Quizizz application. The method used by researchers is a quantitative method, this quantitative research can show data containing numbers that can be obtained by using Google from as a means to create a questionnaire that researchers can use as subjects of their research. Improving the learning quality of students in utilizing the use of Quizizz in learning Arabic is one of the results to be proud of. The conclusion from this study is that the quizizz application can increase students' enthusiasm for learning and can test students' abilities. The limitations of this study are that the researcher only conducted research at one institution, the researcher hopes that there will be similar research, but in different learning besides learning Arabic so that it can increase the reader's understanding of the issues that will be examined later. This study also recommends future research to make it a challenge in utilizing the use of Quizizz in learning Arabic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning) of Arabic in universities and analyze the humanistic review of the performance of Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning) of Arabic in Islamic universities in Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of multicluster study research by comparing the implementation patterns of Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning) in Indonesia. Data were collected using interview techniques, observations, and documentation studies on implementing Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning) in Islamic universities. The data analysis technique used in this study uses data reduction, display, verification, and conclusion. The results of this study show that the implementation of Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning) of Arabic in Islamic universities is realized in the form of student exchanges, the implementation of internship programs in various agencies that have strengthened the experience of prospective graduates, and the realization of humanistic aspects in the implementation of independent learning of Arabic at Islamic universities in, both from educational-cultural, philosophical, and intellectual aspects.

Abstract

Many schools and schools of Islamic education in Indonesia revolve around the advancement of science and technology or philosophy, psychology, and sociology so that Muslims who come are not late for things they will accept and explain in their future lives. This study aims to discover the steps in learning imla to teach vocabulary. Detect and find out about the method used to teach superposition at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. This study's results are as follows: the steps used for learning dictation are listening, reading, and writing for dictation letters, sentences, and essays. The measures used for teaching vocabulary start from the dormitory by giving vocabulary every day after the morning prayer. Each student repeats what the language movement from each dormitory says, writes it down, orders them to memorize it, puts the vocabulary in sentences, continues teaching it in class according to their respective categories, and writes vocabulary in several places according to their vocabulary. The steps used for superposition learning: the teacher starts writing examples on the blackboard, then asks the lesson of yesterday's lesson, explains the relationship between yesterday's class and the new lesson, and explains the rules of nahwu and shorof by example.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the game "Gudang Kata'' and to determine the increase in students' vocabulary mastery towards the use of this game in learning Arabic. This research is the R&D model research with six stages, namely potentials and problems, data collection, product design, product revision, design validation, and product trials. This product was reviewed by supervising lecturers, material experts, and media experts and responded to by 30 Classes. Product quality results are determined by calculating the average score of the quantitative data and then describing the qualitative data from the questionnaire results. As for the test of increasing students' vocabulary mastery, it is obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest and gains normality. The results of this development research game, "Gudang Kata," received a percentage from material experts for the suitability of the material, namely 100% in the "Very Good" category. According to media experts, the quality of the media obtained a percentage of 88.57% in the "Very Good" category. At the same time, the results of the responses of 30 students got a rate of 85.19% in the "Very Good" class. Then, the results of the analysis test for increasing students' Arabic vocabulary mastery increased by 0.7 in the "High'' category based on the acquisition of an average pretest score of 86.33 and an average posttest of 96.00.

Abstract

In the modern era, a science called contemporary stylistics appeared, which reached to describing texts and searching for what distinguishes them and the authors’ unique way of arranging them. And this science has its roots in our Arabic rhetorical heritage. Ancient rhetoricians such as Al-Fakhr Al-Razi preceded them with these stylistic studies. Therefore, this research sought, using the analytical descriptive method, to study the proof of the existence of such stylistic studies in Al-Fakhr Al-Razi through his Tafsir of Surat Al-Roum, revealing his great interest in explaining the types of Qur'anic styles, and their levels (morphological - synthetic - semantic), most of which were from Al-Razi's efforts. No one preceded it, but everyone who came after him benefited from it, Especially in semantics and correspondences between verses and surahs.

Abstract

This paper examined an activity-based approach that fosters Arabic paragraph writing of AFL (Arabic as a Foreign Language) undergraduate learners at The New College, Chennai, India. A total of 25 learners were chosen for this study. They participated in the selected activities to improve their paragraph writing skills in Arabic. The chosen group showed signs of progress in this activity-based approach. For this study, the data were collected through quantitative and qualitative questionnaires before and after the activities. The results showed that the activity-based approach brought about potential changes in their paragraph writing skills. This study has both pedagogical and policy-level implications for fostering paragraph writing skills. The pedagogical implications emphasize the value of learner-centered tactics in improving Arabic paragraph writing abilities, and the policy-level implications underline the need to introduce learner-centric language teaching methodologies in higher education.

Abstract

Arabic Rhetoric is one of the featured Arabic language sciences. This research aimed at defining the path of Arabic Rhetoric, observing the influence of the Holy Qurʾan on rhetorical studies, and predicting the future. The descriptive methodology was followed as the development of this science had been tracked since its inception until now. Rhetorical studies have undergone methodological and procedural transformations. Throughout the ages, the holy Qurʾan was the role model that those engaged in Rhetoric science relayed on and cited, aiming to detect the miraculousness of the Noble Qurʾan. Since Rhetoric science is still growing and developing, it is natural that there are some errors, as rhetorical studies were not shunned from internal and external influences. Overall, the path of the rhetorical lesson should be corrected and clarified its approach. In addition, the Qurʾanic use has to be fully invested in the rhetorical field.
