POLITEA Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam adalah jurnal akademik yang menekankan pada isu-isu aktual yang berkaitan dengan tokoh dan pemikiran politik islam,kebijakan politik islam, praktek politik islam baik dalam level lokal, nasional maupun internasional. POLITEA Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun (setiap enam bulan sekali, terbit bulan Juni dan Desember) oleh Program Studi Pemikiran Politik Islam Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi Islam Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Kudus.

<![CDATA[This article will discuss the Indonesian people, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia in 2014-2019, Susi Pudjiastuti. Susi is a central figure who is able to steal public attention. Various academic writings have been written about the figure of Susi Pudjiastuti, most of which discuss leadership and communication strategies. This paper wants to look deeper into the strength and leadership of Islam. This paper wants to look at the power possessed by Susi, the Domination of Charisma and Islamic Leadership. Susi Pudjiastuti gave a deep picture that women in Islam do not get shackles to do politics. Women get a broad space and leadership skills that are not much different from men. This paper uses a qualitative approach to character studies. The data collection method in this paper is obtained through documentation from time media, books and other literature. Further research that can be done includes the political leadership of Islamic women in the bureaucracy, as well as differences in leadership between men and women.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper explains the actualization of Bustanul Arifin thought on the politics of Islamic law in Indonesia which aims to find out first, how the epistemology of Bustanul Arifin thoughts on Indonesian Islamic law and scond, how the actualization of Indonesian Islamic law politics from Bustanul Arifin's perspective. This research is a library research or library research, which is carried out by collecting library data by using a critical social and political approach. The research concludes that first, the epistemology used by Bustanul Arifin is to position the Koran and al-Sunnah as the main sources in Islamic law and the development of legal values in the Koran and al-Sunnah using the Ijmak and Qiyas methods in Islamic law. Second, the actualization of Islamic law politics Bustanul Arifin's thought is to elaborate Islamic law with positive law through the transformation of Islamic law in state legislation and institutions, so that there is a union between Islamic law and State law within the framework of State institutions which he calls the institutionalization of Islamic law. Thus, the step that needs to be developed is to determine an institution that is in accordance with the principles and values of Islamic law in the Indonesian context.]]>

<![CDATA[Controversy of Sharia Law Against LGBT in Brunei Darussalam . This paper aims to discuss the application of sharia law in Brunei Darussalam, especially in sharia law for LGBT people. What about the effect of the stricter application of sharia law if applied in Brunei Darussalam. The aim of implementing Sharia law in Brunei Darussalam. Darussalam is none other than the teachings of Islam in Brunei Darussalam that have become stronger than before as a country that has always been devoted to Allah. Even though in its application, Brunei Darussalam has received harsh criticism from the world for the application of sharia law that is enforced in its country, however, criminal law hard and sharia law continues to be implemented after being postponed and finally implemented on April 3, 2019. This article uses a case study approach and analysis with qualitative methods. russlam continues to be implemented even though it has generated a lot of controversy from outside, especially regarding the stoning of adultery and LGBT perpetrators, especially from the United Nations, enforcement of this law violates human rights. The background to the adoption of sharia law is nothing more than strengthening the quality of the involvement of Muslims in Brunei Darussalam which is only for Allah.]]>

Erdogan’s decision to take over Hagia Sophia as a mosque has received any responses from various parties both those who supported and critized it, from the government officials to the general public. Some of Muslim-majority countries generally support the Turkish government policy. However, domestically, the debate over this decision devide Turkish people into religious and secular parties. This paper aims to identifies why the shifted of Hagia Sophia as a mosque has become a monumental event and how its impact toward the growing of Islamic movements in Turkey.]]>

<![CDATA[Gig economy has recently circling in the society in the digital era. It has been a result of risk society as described by Beck in his book. Though researches have been made by Standing, Stephany dan Prassl to address the various risk exposed by it onto society, there is little evidence society would not expose to its excesses. This writing is made as part of research in gig economy that argues the race to the bottom of gig economy has contributed to society. The findings include how exploitation, job insecurity, mental and health crisis are generated from informalisation of works in gig mode of economy. The most essential thing is how Islam offer the new mode of economy based on its fundamental views of social welfare and individual interest based on moral economy as a solution to the race of the bottom occurring in gig economy. ]]>

<![CDATA[This research discusses the responses of countries in Southeast Asia in the context of US-China trade war, with particular focus on what strategies taken by Indonesia (as a Muslim majority country) and Vietnam government to apply and attract investment from US and China as a result of trade war among them. The writer chose qualitative method to get an in-depth data and find the dynamic problems and a strategy taken by a country to overcome the problem caused by trade war. By Using mercantilist approach this paper argues that both Indonesia and Vietnam have a different strategies in order to gain the foreign investor to come to their countries and manage to maintain the sustainability in the middle of trade war escalation. As a result both Indonesia and Vietnam have succeeded in maintaining their economic stability through the strategies they have adopted which have resulted positive.]]>

<![CDATA[The European Union (EU) is an intergovernmental and supranational organization enlarging its membership since its formation. Due to the benefits, neighboring European countries are volunteering to join the EU. One of the EU candidate member countries is Serbia. In the process of gaining the status of EU candidate country, Serbia has faced many challenges and yet to fulfill the Copenhagen criteria as the conditions of membership by transforming and strengthening democracy. In the economic field, it is struggling to develop free markets and the rule of law. Serbia has collaborated with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) to process the war criminals in the past. Serbia succeeded in obtaining the status of candidate membership of the EU on March 1, 2012, which then became its new chapter. Â ]]>

<![CDATA[Islam and State: The Reflection of Secularization Idea of Nurcholis Madjid. There are some typologies of Islamic political thought. They are fundamental, secular, and liberal. Secular is the typology of Islamic political thought that separate religion and state. In the West, religion and state are differentiated. They advanced because of the separation of religion and state, but not in Islam. Nurcholis Madjid is one of the Islamic political thinkers who explains the secularization of religion and the state. The purpose of this study is to analyze the thoughts of Nurcholis Madjid about the secularization of Islam and the state. This research uses descriptive analytical method. According Madjid the answers of modernization problems especially among the Indonesian Muslim community is secularization. Secularization is needed because Moslem cannot differentiate religion (din) and state (dawlah). Secularization is carried out for Moslems who “deify the world†which should be worldly, and give up religious matters. The formation of an Islamic state is the failure of Moslems to respond to the problem of modernization.]]>
