Abstract

Aceh province based on BPS data 2017 has 1.2 million inhabitants have a livelihood as a farmer. Of this amount includes the number of farmers in each of the regency in Aceh. One of district that has a population of farmers that is the South Aceh Regency with a large producer of young plants (palawija), horticulture and plantation crops Ruak Village is one of the villages in North Kluet Subdistrict with farmers in the form of coffee, corn, lime and rice. The villagers of Ruak have a livelihood as farmers, both farmers and farmers as well as daily laborers in the local farmers' business. Farmers in the village of Ruak are abundant every year. Based on the data that was successfully obtained during the survey that the farmers in the village of Ruak produced an average yield of 150 tons per year. Every year the village of Ruak lags behind to contribute to the community with the results of farmers produced by the farmers of the of Ruak village. The contribution of the farmers of the village of Ruak is not proportional to the celebrations obtained. This causes very high production costs, starting from the cost of plants, buying medicines, fertilizers, tools and daily payment instruments. The cost to plant to harvest is very high. Sometimes not comparable with the selling price of farmers. Prices are not in line with European expectations. Because the market price that has been determined by the parties cannot be negotiated by the farmers and because of the market price.

Abstract

Digital image (image) is another term for picture, as one of the multimedia components plays a very important role as a form of visual information. Image processing is a process that involves a lot of visual perception. A grayscale image is an image that has only one channel value in each pixel, in other words the values of Red, Green, Blue are used to indicate the intensity level. Pixel (Picture Elements) is the value of each matrix entry in the bitmap. This pixel is affected by the number of colors that can be displayed. Image improvement is one of the simplest and most attractive methods in digital image processing. Basically, the idea behind image improvement techniques is to bring out obscured details or just to highlight certain interesting features. Histogram Equalization/Histogram leveling is a histogram smoothing process, where the distribution of gray level values of an image is made evenly.

Abstract

One of the features applied to fifth generation (5G) technology is Device-to-Device (D2D) communication. The D2D communication can occur directly without going through evolved Node B (eNB). Therefore, that it can reduce traffic density on cellular network communications. However, the application of D2D communication has constrained by the limited transmission distance and multi-user service at the same source. Modelling and simulating the LTE D2D multicast network using software is an effectively and efficiently ways for analyzing mac throughput. The testing of network aims to observe and to analyze the mac throughput using two parameters, the transmission distance and the number of users, based on the utilization of the Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) index. The number of user is 20 and distance is 25 meters then mac throughput in index CQI 13 greater than CQI 4 and CQI 7 is 2150.14 Kbps. But the number of user is 20 and distance is 150 meters then CQI 13 smaller than CQI 4 and CQI 7 is 271.22 Kbps. The result of simulation shows that both distance and the number of user have influence mac throughput. The selection of CQI index is the most important factor to maintain the transmission quality and mac throughput.

Abstract

Renewable energy is energy derived from nature and can be produced continuously such as water energy as a micro hydropower plant. The development of a micro hydropower plant is to utilize the potential energy of water flow that has a certain head and discharge to be converted by turbines and generators into energy electricity that can be used in the development of Archimedes Single Screw Turbines. Archimedes Single Screw Turbine is a type of turbine that is capable of operating with low head 1-15 meter in river flow and irrigation. Aceh is one of the regions that have a large amount of water energy potential to be used as energy driving water turbines. The purpose of this study is to design, make Turbine Archimedes Single Screw construction and conduct turbine testing and determine the performance of Archimedes Single Screw Turbine based on the effect of water flow discharge on rotation, torque, power, and optimum efficiency so that it can determine the right turbine design and performance well. Archimedes Single Screw turbine is made with 201 stainless steel which has dimensions of N = 1 blade (Ro= 130 mm, Ri = 70 mm) with pitch 2Ro, Turbine length (L = 2 m), head = 1 m, Angle θ = 300. The variables measured and observed are the rotation of the turbine, torque, and flow rate. Tests were carried out on 3 variations of flow rate, namely 0.02 m3/s, 0.009 m3/s, and 0.003 m3/s. The test results, the highest rotation, and turbine power occur at flowrate 0.02 m3/s at 236.40 rpm with a power of 116.10 watts and maximum turbine efficiency is 57%. Thus, the turbine with maximum power and efficiency is obtained when the flow rate is 0.02 m3 /s.

Abstract

The facial electromyograph (FEMG) signal is a signal that occurs in the muscles of the contracted human face. This FEMG signal is one of the techniques used to study human speech recognition. It can be acquired by placing an electrode surface on the skin around the facial articulation muscle. Three types of muscles in this study are the masseter, risorius and depressor muscle. This study aims to extract and analyze the features in the FEMG signal. The extraction method is the discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The type of wavelet transform is Daubechies2 with level 5. After extraction and analysis of FEMG signals, the FEMG signal pattern for each spoken word indicated by differences in the approximation and detail coefficient of the FEMG signal. In addition, the level of difference in the FEMG signal pattern is also indicated by the histogram of the approximation coefficient of the FEMG signal. Thus, the discrete wavelet transform method can be used as one of the methods for extracting the FEMG signal feature in a human facial electromyograph (FEMG) signal.
