Jurnal ini diterbitkan setelah menjalani proses peer-double blinded-review oleh dewan reviewer. Secara substansif, Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan hasil studi dan pemikiran baru bagi praktisi akademis, peneliti dan pengambil keputusan dalam lingkup studi kepariwisataan. Jurnal Kepariwisataan diharapkan mampu menjadi media bagi peneliti dan akademisi untuk menyampaikan pendapat kritis mereka sehingga mampu berkontribusi pada pengembangan studi pariwisata dari berbagai perspektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan : (1) Seberapa Siknifikan peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris mahasiswa akademi Pariwisata setelah belajar melalui bermain peran.; dan (2) Minat mahasiswa Akademi Pariwisata dalam belajar bahasa Inggris melalui bermain peran untuk mengembangkan ketrampilan berbahasa Inggris pada komentar – komentar wisata. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah quasi eksperimental. Sampel penelitian diseleksi dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Data pretest dan post-test dianalisa dengan menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) dengan uji t-test dan ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) data yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner danalisa dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang siknifikan pada capaina ketrampilan berbahasa yang di peroleh dalam dalam pre-test dan post test. Mahasiswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan metode bermain peran, menunjukan pencapaian yang siknifikan dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang belajar dengan metode konvensional. Mahasiswa menjadi lebih aktif karena tidak hanya ketrampilan berbahasa inggris yang dipelajari, tetapi juga ketrampilan dalam pemanduan wisata.

Abstract

Tourism in Indonesia has rapidly developed and has supported economic developmentof the country over three decades. Along with the issues of globalsustainability, most governments in the world, including Indonesia, have committedto develop tourism in a sustainable manner. The national tourism policythus becomes an important tool to control the development, where the naturaland cultural resources are intensively utilized to support tourism. As afocal part in policy making, the national government has a significant role toensure the attainment of sustainable tourism. However, the integration of theconcept of sustainable development in the national tourism policy has beenmoderated when the economy of Indonesia particularly in the tourism industryis currently facing a depression and has not get back to the level as achievedin the past decade.

Abstract

The priority of tourism development in Indonesia covers the development of homestay, digitization and air connectivity.The purpose of this study is to explore the utilization of ICT in its relation to distribution channels used by home stay owners in Ubud as a form of small medium business owned by local communities. Data collection techniques used were stratified random sampling, secondary research, focus group discussion and in depth interview. Through qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, the results of this study concluded that most of home stays in Ubud is familiar with ICTand has now become a major distribution channel that contributes greatly to the occupancy of home stay.

Abstract

Attitudes to tourism development vary greatly among different approaches.To cautionary approach, this inter nation phenomenon is seen as fruiting ahulk of various physical and social excess. To others, adaptation and scientificapproaches, when well planned, organized, implemented, and conirollcd.tourism development can bear lots of advantages both to the tourists andhost countries. In Bali, many researchers from different scientificbackgrounds found enough empirical evidence that tourism developmentgenerates numbers of beneficial influence for the deselopment of theBalinese culture.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms of participation and benefits perceived by local communities from their participation in the management of Nature Tourism Pucak Manik Waterfall in Wanagiri Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency. This study uses quantitative design, with the number of samples of 56 members of the community involved directly or indirectly in the management of tourist attractions. This samples selected by purposive sampling technique. The survey method was used to collect data with a Likert scale questionnaire of degree five. The results show that the participation rate of local community in Wanagiri village is quite high, while the largest participation form is social participation with average value 3,89, and the lowest participation is the participation of property with the average value 2,37. The most perceived benefit of local community participation in the socio-cultural community is the growing sense of pride to remain in the village (stated by 83.9% of respondents), from the economic perspective of participation is expanding employment and business fields, expressed by 87.5% of respondents, and 89.3% of respondents said the environmental benefits of their participation were the identification of tourism potentials in their area, and the government’s support in the development of Nature Tourism Pucak Manik Waterfall.
