Abstract

Abstract

PPI Sangsit is one of the landing bases that is the main supplier of fisheries production, especially in Buleleng Regency. The fish landed at PPI Sangsit comes from the catch of local fishermen and Sepeken Island. Various types of fish landed need an inventory activity with the aim of obtaining valid data to facilitate systematic data collection. Production of fisheries and socio-economic fishermen are also needed to formulate appropriate fisheries management. The study was conducted in February-April 2018. The sample fish was taken by simple random sampling. The results obtained 26 species of fish that were 58% of demersal fishes. Carangsidae, Scrombridae, and Caesionidae families are the family with the most species, which of 12% or 3 species. Production of fresh fish in 2010-2017 tended to decline, while the production of live grouper fish fisheries in 2010-2017 tended to increase. February-April 2018 tended to increase with the highest in March 2018. Comparison of fisheries product in each February, March, and April from 2010 to 2018 tended to decline. The age of all respondents including productive age groups with education classified as low education. Jobs as fisherman, docker, and crew members get the average income included in the middle class, which is Rp 1.500.000 – Rp 2.500.000 per month. Abstract

This study aimed to find out the relationship between the maturity level of female abalone gonads with fecundity and egg diameter size of abalone. The results obtained showed that abalone having gonadal maturity level 1 was in the range of 3-4.5cm; gonadal maturity level 2 in the range size of 4.6-6 cm; and gonadal maturity level 3 in the size range> 6 cm. The results of the abalone gonad histology test showed that abalone with gonadal maturity level 1 had more ootid distribution than the primary oocyte. gonadal maturity level 2 has more ootid distribution, primary oocytes than secondary oocytes. Whereas in gonadal maturity level 3 it appears that secondary oocytes dominate which means the gonads are mature and ready to be spawned. The oocyte diameter is getting bigger and more similar simultaneously with an increasing level of gonad maturity. Abalone with gonadal maturity level 1 has an average oocyte diameter of 187 ?m gonadal maturity level 2 of 190 ?m, and gonadal maturity level 3 of 217 ?m.Abalone fecundity for gonadal maturity level 1 ranged from 60,480-86,190 oocytes; TKG 2 ranges from 196,560-214,520 oocyte grains; and TKG 3 ranges from 483,600-518,880 oocyte grains. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the higher the level of maturity of the abalone gonad, the greater the fecundity with the distribution of more secondary oocytes seen in the results of the gonad abalone histology test.

Abstract

Seagrass is one of the important ecosystems, both physically and biologically. In addition, seagrasses also act as the main producers in food webs, become shelters, forage and breed various types of biota, one of which is periphyton. Periphyton is a collection of micro-organisms and plants (a collection of cyanobacteria and microinvertebrate algae) that live around the epiphyton in the waters. This study aims to determine the type composition and diversity of periphyton that attaches to seagrass leaves. The method used is the observation method. Data retrieval is done by the transect line method. Periphyton compositions obtained were as many as 23 types of periphyton consisting of 4 classes, namely Bacillariophyceae (16 species), Cyanophyceae (4 species), Euglenophyceae (1 species) and Chlorophyceae (2 species). The highest composition was found in the Bacillariophyceae class, which was 63% and the lowest composition was in the Chlorophyceae class of 1%. Periphyton diversity includes diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index. Where the value of the diversity index is classified as moderate, perifiton uniformity index value is high, and the perifiton dominance index value is relatively low.
