Abstract

Based on the available data, it turns out that there are still many non-compliance with the application of Indonesian spelling (EBI) in the “written variety”, even though the existence of EBI which began with Indonesian Spelling Completed) or (EYD) has been in effect since 1972, and their existence is definitely a Guidebook. In connection with this fact, it is necessary to make an effort to prove it, because from several literature sources no one has specifically discussed it. The research was carried out in three strategic stages: (1) data collection stage, (2) data classification and analysis, and (3) report preparation. Data collection is done by listening to the technique of recording on a reading card, so that the data source focuses on the written source. The data classification and analysis stage is based on: 1) the use of the spelling writing system, and 2) the use of the punctuation writing system (in the text as a data source). Data analysis uses linguistic theory in the fields of: phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics because the use of the spelling writing system and the use of the punctuation writing system refers to the text. The last stage is the preparation / preparation of reports. The results of the analysis show that the existence of EBI as a guide for writing is still far from what is expected, so it is necessary to realize that what is called: the use of a spelling writing system and the use of a punctuation writing system in written variety is binding, that is, it must be understood, obeyed, obeyed, and applied by the every Indonesian speaker.

Literary work is something special for both the connoisseur and the creator. There are not many literary works that discuss gender equality, this is interesting to research, one of the works that discuss gender equality is the story of Putri Mandalika which is closely related to the " bau nyale" tradition on the island of Lombok. This study uses feminist theory and Tzvetan Todorov's analysis in its discussion. Furthermore, this study uses qualitative methods, data obtained from primary data. The results prove that gender equality has existed and been realized in Indonesia for a long time, this is evidence of gender equality in the story of Putri Mandalika, namely 1) Princess Mandalika is the female king in the Sekar Kuning kingdom replacing the king of Tonjang Beru, 2) Princess Mandalika is the king women who are loved by their people, 3) Putri Mandalika is a woman who has a strong stand and is not easily intimidated by organizations that make decisions.

Abstract

Aku as the main character in the short story Si Gila will represent the anxiety of people with mental disorders faced by other characters as a representation of normal people. The established hierarchy of binary opposition to mentally impaired and normal people is deeply rooted in Indonesian society. The binary opposition in question is the assumption that normal people have more human and spiritual values than those with mental disorders. The establishment of this value makes people with mental disorders experience discrimination and rejection in society in Indonesia. Through a short story by Han Gagas, this research aims to show the existence of binary opposition which is contrary to the current values believed by Indonesian society. Using the deconstruction theory put forward by Jacques Derrida which rejects the existence of one value establishment and closes the possibility of other values. This study tries to show another value construction through reading the short story Si Gila by Han Gagas from the perspective of Deconstruction theory. The results of this study show that my condition as a mental disorder sufferer who becomes the main character is also a symbol of the values that are pinned to people with mental disorders after experiencing the fusion of hierarchical boundaries with the defamiliarization of the concept of crazy as a mental disorder. The results of this study are that mental disorders and normalcy are not a binary opposition, but rather a spectrum.

This study uses Duranti’s anthropolinguistic theoretical framework with its three main concepts, performance, indexiciality, and participation. Study design uses case study. Collecting data using observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was carried out in stages: description, analysis, and interpretation of data. The study findings show that the lexicons in JoBD that mean ‘to eat’ are mangan, madhang, maem, nedhi / nedha, dhahar, badhog / nyekek, leg / gaglag / untal, kedhapi, and mayoran. The use of the lexicon which means ‘to eat’ in JoBD is quite varied depending on the context of use (participants and real usage / situation). The neutral nuanced lexicon of JoBD means 'to eat' is: mangan and madang which are used in the environment of family, friends or neighbors of equal socioeconomic status. Collecting data in this study using the observation method with note-taking techniques. The data source of this research is a speech in a video talk show about the accusation of conspiracy behind Corona which is broadcast on the Kompastv Youtube channel. The data analysis of this study used an extratextual matching method with a pragmatic approach. The theory of various illocutionary speech acts used in this study is Searle's (1979) illocutionary speech act theory. The results showed that there were four types of illocutionary speech acts in the research sources, namely assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive speech.

Abstract

This study examines the socio-cultural of the Gebangsewu hamlet community and their physical environment, based on an ethnographic qualitative approach. The results showed: First, the physical environment is classified as poor because it is not touched by government funded development projects. Second, after being tracked down, this condition is related with the power politics of the government of the new (orde baru) order era at that time. The people of Gebang Sewu, are partisans of the opposition party (PPP), while the government apparatus must be completely loyal to the Golkar party. Second, the social separation happened, is confirmed through negative myths about the government apparatus. It is used as "revenge" to ignore development. The findings give a message, first, that there is a social segregation between pro-government and opposition political parties. Third, uneven development due to discriminatory politics that was deliberately scripted by the New Order government.
