Abstract

History learning certainly does not focus only on memorising material, but the main goal is to be able to build characters who are able to think critically and train students' mindsets. So, the purpose of learning history can be realised if students have high critical thinking skills and metacognition. The purpose of this study is to find the influence between the existing variables, namely the influence of Self-Efficacy on Metacognition and Critical Thinking Ability. This study adopted quantitative research with a casual approach as its research design, conducted at SMAN 2 Klaten. data were accumulated from 118 students in grade 11 based on sampling techniques. The instrument was tested using SEM construct validity and reliability. The data will then be analysed using MANOVA multivariate test to see the effect. The results obtained are that self-efficacy has an influence on both dependent variables by 65 per cent and the rest is explained through other variables. Partially, self-efficacy affects metacognition by 83.3 per cent and affects critical thinking ability by about 0.173 per cent. This finding confirms the importance of self-efficacy in influencing students' metacognition and critical thinking skills in history learning. This study requires a wider range of subjects and factors that become variables that can affect other dependent variables.

Abstract

Students' problems in understanding mathematical concepts to solve word problems of the hots type became the background of this study. The purpose of this research is to determine the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students with a cognitive style in solving hot type word problems. The population used in this study were students of SMP Negeri 2 Karangawen. While for the withdrawal of samples using purposive sampling technique the sample was taken from 26 student namely 2. This study used qualitative research methods which in its implementation used observation, tests, and interviews. Data analysis is carried out interactively and takes place continuously and through 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that subjects who have a reflective cognitive style have a better concept understanding ability in problem solving HOTS model questions, compared to students with impulsive cognitive style. Therefore, it is important for students to practice HOTS model problems in order to improve good concept understanding.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the almost unstoppable impact of globalization, supported by the development of sophisticated internet technology. Globalization affects all aspects of life, bringing significant changes to society both locally and globally. Internet technology, although intended to bring positive benefits and make human work easier, also has negative impacts if not handled wisely. The aim of this research is to explore the values ​​of cultural interaction found in Bumi Alit Kabuyutan Batu Karut, Lebakwangi Village, Arjasari District, Bandung Regency and to implement the research results through a process of habituation of cultural interaction values ​​in social studies subjects in strengthening 21st Century Character education for junior high school students. /equivalent throughout Arjasari District, Bandung Regency. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The qualitative descriptive analysis method is a method used to analyze data to produce a final conclusion in solving a problem. The population in this research are students at the junior high school level in Arjasari District, Bandung Regency. The sample is students in class VII at SMPN 1 Arjasari. In qualitative research there is actually no sample but the term informant is used. Informants are determined based on subjective research from researchers (purposive). Informants are selected using the criteria of initial informants (principal) and designated informants (base), with the assumption that the selected informants are considered representative of a homogenous society. Informants as research sources include main informants and base informants. The results of this research show that the social interaction values ​​on this site include: 1. Self-Orientation Values, 2. Religious Interaction Values, 3 Moral Values, 4. Compassion Values, 5. Social Responsibility Values, 6. Social Harmony Values Alive, Overall, this research shows that the Bumi Alit Kabuyutan Lebakwangi-Batukarut Site has important cultural and historical values, but awareness of this culture is starting to erode among the younger generation.

Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia hinders the nation's progress. UNESCO and PISA reports show that Indonesia lags significantly in terms of education and teacher quality. To address this issue, the government has introduced the independent curriculum and the sekolah penggerak. This study aims to analyze the influence of school culture, job satisfaction, and achievement motivation on teacher performance in the Driving School Program at the junior high school level in Bireuen Regency. This quantitative research uses an associative method with a sample of 152 teachers from a population of 246, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data testing includes normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests, using simple linear regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that school culture has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (t-value 10.079, Sig 0.000). However, job satisfaction (t-value -1.453, Sig 0.148) and achievement motivation (t-value -1.560, Sig 0.287) do not moderate this effect. These findings are crucial for educational policy to focus on strengthening school culture to improve teacher performance. Additionally, programs to enhance job satisfaction and achievement motivation are still necessary to support overall teacher performance.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dosen. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis sistematis terhadap literatur yang relevan dengan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja dosen di perguruan tinggi. Data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber literatur yang kredibel, dengan pemilihan berdasarkan relevansi dan kualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan gambaran komprehensif tentang faktor-faktor tersebut dan implikasinya. Dengan menerapkan metode penelitian yang cermat, diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap kinerja dosen di lingkungan akademik. Secara keseluruhan, analisis mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja dosen menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dosen, termasuk pemahaman materi, kemampuan pengajaran, dan interaksi dengan mahasiswa, memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Pentingnya aspek kepribadian dosen juga ditekankan, dengan faktor-faktor seperti kemampuan memberikan umpan balik yang konstruktif dan tanggung jawab dalam melaksanakan tugas turut berkontribusi terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Selain itu, penelitian juga menyoroti pentingnya faktor-faktor seperti motivasi, kondisi sarana dan prasarana, serta penggunaan teknologi dan informasi dalam memengaruhi kinerja dosen secara keseluruhan. Dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek ini, dosen dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan kepuasan mahasiswa, yang pada gilirannya dapat memperkuat reputasi institusi dan memperbaiki hasil akademis mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and produce a feasible Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) test instrument. This is a developmental research adapted from the Borg & Gall development model, which includes 7 development steps as follows: research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form a product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, field testing, and operational product revision. The data sources for this research were 30 students from SD Negeri 2 Selakau. The data collection instruments in this research consisted of interviews, questionnaires, and the HOTS test results. The data analysis techniques used in this research were the validation analysis of the questions from the aspects of Material, Construction, and Language, as well as the item analysis of HOTS questions. The research results showed that the HOTS test instrument, which consisted of 7 essay questions, obtained an average validity score of 93% in the material aspect, 96% in the construction aspect, and 93% in the language aspect. The instrument, consisting of 7 questions, was deemed valid with a reliability degree of 0.722 (high) and the difficulty level and discriminative power of the questions corresponded to the characteristics of HOTS questions. Thus, the product in the form of the HOTS Test Instrument is declared feasible for use.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the school environment, factors that are inhibiting and supporting the formation of discipline and responsibility character of MTs Negeri 4 Musi Banyuasin students. This research uses a qualitative description method and is carried out at MTS Negeri 4 Musi Banyuasin. Data collection is carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that the role of the physical environment of MTS Negeri 4 Musi Banyuasin is able to make students disciplined and more responsible because of the availability of facilities and student books. However, the availability of these student books cannot necessarily make students disciplined because they still need guidance. Meanwhile, the social environment is still not supportive for the formation of disciplined character. In contrast to the character of responsibility, the school social environment supports the formation of students' character of responsibility by guiding them to complete the tasks given by the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the mix marketing strategy in increasing students' interest in entering MAN 1 Musi Banyuasin. This study uses a type of qualitative research that is descriptive. The subjects of this research are teachers and students. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that MAN 1 Musi Banyuasin has successfully implemented a marketing mix strategy as an effort to recruit students to enter MAN 1 Musi Banyuasin. The increase in the number of students is sufficientsignifikan every year by implementing a marketing mix (7P) strategy consisting of product, price, place, promotion, people (HR), physical evidence, and process. The products offered are in accordance with the needs of the community with free education fees. The strategic location is on the Sarangan highway, close to several government agencies. Promotion is carried out in the form of advertising (social media and print media), public relations, word of mouth and direct marketing. The human resources owned are quite qualified and continue to develop by participating in trainings.

Abstract

This research discusses the emotional intelligence of Class VIII Students at Pontianak State Middle School. The problem in this research is which aspect of emotional intelligence is most dominant in students, what factors influence students, and what are the negative impacts of low emotional intelligence. The aim of this research is to describe and describe the characteristics of emotional intelligence of students at school, to find out aspects of emotional intelligence in students, to find out the factors that influence students, and to find out the negative impact of low emotional intelligence in students. The method used in this research is a descriptive method, while the type of research is a survey. The sample in this study amounted to 64 students. This study uses a quantitative approach. The technique used in this research is indirect communication technique, while the data collection tool uses a questionnaire.The results of this research show that the Emotional Intelligence of Class VIII Students at SMP Negeri 4 Pontianak is in the Fairly Good category with a percentage of 75%. Knowing yourself is in the Fairly Good category with a percentage of 66%. Managing emotions is in the Fairly Good category with a percentage of 62%. Self-motivation is in the Fairly Good category with a percentage of 75%. Recognizing other people's emotions is in the Fairly Good category with a percentage of 73%. Building relationships is in the Fairly Good category with a percentage of 68%.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze the urgency of the integration of integrity zones and public services in Indonesia. This type of research uses normative legal research methods. The approach to this research is carried out with a legislative approach combined with a conceptual approach. The result of this research is that the regulation of integrity zones in Indonesia has undergone several changes, because with the development of this integrity zone, not only as a prevention and eradication of corruption but also public services which initially had many overlapping processes, the quality of human resources that was relatively low, the occurrence of abuse of authority, and supervision that is not optimal is better. The integrity zone is an obligation, not just an option. This will be an integrity zone as a success in the bureaucratic reform program in Indonesia, especially in the physical public service sector.
