Abstract

This study explores photographic works that can be utilised as fine artwork and as learning media for deaf people. The research method used in creating works of art is searching for ideas, deepening and developing them. Through this method, the creation of photography works bg visualizing hand movement and expressions using two techniques, namely multiple exposure and digital imaging. The object of this photo is someone who has mastered sign language. This research then produced several photographic works combined into a photobook that can be used as a teaching and learning media for teachers and students at special schools.Keywords: photography, sign language, photobook, learning media.

Abstract

A Batik is a work of art that has a teaching value in the form of advice. The aim of this study was to determine the aesthetic value of visualizing Jula-Juli batik as a guide in society. The research method used to collect and present the data is descriptively qualitative. The aesthetic value assessment approach uses the elegant design theory of Luca Iandoli and Giuseppe Zello. Data were collected using observation, interviews and documentation of Jula-Juli Batik as a medium for preserving local wisdom in the form of advice with novelty value.Keyword: batik, aesthetic value,  Jombang, local wisdom, motifs

Abstract

This research examines explicitly adult music’s influence on children’s age at the Early Childhood Education level. The aim is to explore the theory of empathy in dealing with the impact of adult music on children during the Covid-19 pandemic. Where the problems faced by children related to the influence of adult music have influenced attitudes and behavior in everyday life. The method used to answer this problem is a participant. Researchers will be involved in conducting this research assistance. The study results show that parental empathy for children regarding adult music is essential to note. The condition of the covid-19 pandemic that forces children to spend a lot of time at home can cause children to feel bored quickly. Playing games and listening to adult music through gadgets owned by children can affect the development of psychology, behavior, and children’s partnerships if there is a lack of empathy and assistance from teachers at school. For this reason, compassion for children is essential in anticipating the harmful effects or influences of adult music that children listen to.Keywords: adult music, early childhood, empathy theory

Abstract

Research on art creation entitled Suara Hati Dance Collaboration involving dancers (students) and children with visual impairments (disabilities) to answer concerns about how a dancer feels dancing in the dark. This research method is a collaboration between the potential of dancers and the artistic potential of blind children. The dancers’ explorations were inspired by the behavior of the character Gendari in the  Mahabarata story, who closed his eyes all his life only to feel the same darkness as his husband, Destrarastra. Exploring the potential of blind children is an important part of this research to determine the process and form of work. The results of this study provide an artistic experience for dancers, moving in the dark just following their auditory instincts. Providing space for expression and artistic experience for blind children, fostering self-confidence, courage, and a sense of pride in being able to work with dancers and appear in performances that are shown publicly.Keywords: voice, heart, collaboration, visual impairment, Gendari, movement, darkness.

Abstract

Every year the music industry displays new musicians, and each has their characteristics in their work. Of course, there will be many contemporary artists with different characters. One of the music industry’s strategies is to increase marketing in music production. This is not only a matter of promotion, but the music industry is also thinking about stealing attention, building loyalty, encouraging action, and how to educate and entertain through the content that is presented. Hendra Kumbara is a Javanese musician who has popularity among young people in the digitalization era; Dalan Liyane’s song is one of the works that support his popularity in digital media. In addition, he also developed the music industry for creative space in the city of Semarang. This study aims to determine Hendra Kumbara’s music production strategy for maintaining its popularity through digital media promotion activities. The research used is a qualitative method with a case study approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies selected according to the topic of discussion regarding musical creativity in maintaining popularity through digital media. The survey results prove that: (1) Hendra Kumbara’s music production supports popularity through digital media promotion activities by knowing the concept of music production and marketing strategies through digital media platforms. (2) strategies carried out by knowing musical abilities and marketing musical works through digital media platforms Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, Joox, Tunes, Apple Music, and Deezer.Keywords: strategy, popularity, musicians, digital media.

Abstract

This  research  is  an  experimental  study  of  creative  process  issues  in  the  creation  of  the  Srimpi Pudyastuti dance, the aim of which is to reveal how creative practice ideas of traditional dance are developed by artists with a background in creativity in the cultural and performing arts realms. The method used is a qualitative research method with a choreographic approach. Data collection, observation, literature study  and  interviews.  The  results  of  the  study  show  that  the  Srimpi  Pudyastuti  dance,  in  its  creative process, uses a combination of the concepts of working on the dance movements of the Surakarta Style and Yogyakarta Style which have been stylized into new forms of movement. The creation was inspired by the realities of life that are happening all over the world, namely the Covid-19 pandemic and the stagnation in the development of the group dance genre, especially the srimpi dance. In the creative process, motion exploration is considered to form space and rhythm as well as the findings of the motions that characterize Srimpi Pudyastuti with her vocal movements using a lot of gliding (floating) motions.Keyword: srimpi pudyastuti, creativity, creative process

Abstract

This research was motivated by the existence of gim embroidery as a Surakarta-style bridal kebaya ornament with all limitations, such as the lack of craftsmen, the high cost of yarn materials, and competition with other ornamental techniques that are more developed. The purpose of this study is to describe the development  of  gim  embroidery  on  Surakarta-style  bridal  kebaya.  The  method  used  is  a  qualitative grounded research model. Data were collected through interviews, observations, literature studies, artifact studies, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted interactively through data reduction, presentation, discussion, and conclusions. The results showed that the development of Surakarta-style bridal kebaya gim embroidery had at least three groups, namely the development of materials and techniques that still maintain motifs and patterns according to pakem, the development of motifs and designs that combine the characteristics of Surakarta style and Yogyakarta style, and the development of kebaya forms followed by the development of motifs and patterns. The development that was found can be used as a reference in the development of game embroidery not only in bridal kebayas but also in other forms of revitalization to preserve gim embroidery.Keywords: gim embroidery, Surakarta-style bridal kebaya, development concept.

Abstract

The idea raised in this paper is Anxiety Disorder. Anxiety disorders experienced by the author since her youh until now. Anxiety disorders arise from past trauma due to bullying in the family and in society. Anxiety disorders which experienced by the author are related to excessive fear and anxiety accompanied by behavioral disorders. Events that are imprinted on the memory give rise to noisy thoughts and feelings. The problems to discuss in this article with the following. problem formulation are 1) What is an anxiety disorder 2) Why the concept of anxiety disorder is the source of the idea of creating a painting 3) How is the visualization of a painting with the concept of an anxiety disorder as the source of the idea for creating a work of art. The purpose of this Art Creation Thesis is to be the concept of painting creation that visualized by a drawing technique using drawing pen and charcoal on linen paper. Black and white works are applied to convey thoughts, feelings and everyday experiences. The works present using black frames with passepartout along with performance art video. Performance art that includes in this artwork is to be used as a medium to convey honesty through the body. This art work creation practice produces novelty in terms of the concepts, techniques and presentation.Keywords: Anxiety Disorder, Art Painting, Drawing Techniques.

Abstract

As a mass media with a mirror function, advertising can reflect social reality formed from the media’s construction. Gender issues shaped by advertisements that are aired repeatedly will enter into the mindset of the people. In 2020, AX Indonesia published an ad for its newest product, the AX Pocket Perfume version of ‘Dijemput Si Cantik,’ which shows a female online motorcycle taxi driver picking up male customers. In  contrast  to  the  representation  of  women  in  previous  advertisements,  which  always  showed  women doing household activities. This study aims to determine the depiction of gender equality in the ad for the AX Pocket Perfume version of ‘Dijemput Si Cantik.’ A qualitative approach is used with descriptive explanations. The analysis theory used is Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis. The data collection technique in this study was to use the documentation method, namely to collect data from books, e-books, journals, and information from official sites on the internet as well as audio and visual materials, advertisements for the AXE Pocket Perfume version of ‘Dijemput Si Cantik.’ The results indicate that the depiction of gender equality in the ad for the AXE Pocket Parfume version of ‘picked up by the beauty’ is incomplete. This advertisement presents gender equality but contains gender bias.Keywords: advertisement, gender equality, representation, semiotic

Abstract

Kustiah’s dance works contain values and can be used as a reference in current and future life. One of them is that Kustiah’s dance work includes the importance of Unity, Creativity, Tough, and Abstinence, which are philosophical teachings that are upheld and can serve as role models for women at this time in moving forward in their lives.
