Abstract

AbstractThe efforts to increase learning motivation can be done by using instructional media. This study aims to find out the use of media and the effect of the use of instructional media towards motivation to learn Arabic. This is a descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study are 94 students of immersion class at State Islamic Junior High School (MTs N) Plupuh Sragen. All students become the sample in this study. The data is processed by using descriptive statistics and correlation test of Product Moment. Based on the hypothesis test, the magnitude of the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.4723 greater than 0.207 with significance level of 5%. It can be concluded that Ha that there is "the effect of the use of instructional media to learn Arabic student motivation" is accepted. The results inform that there is a significant effect of media learning towards student motivation, especially in learning Arabic.

Abstract

The semantic study pioneered by Izutsu is an analytical study of basic language terms with the aim of ending achieving conceptual understanding - people who use the language - not only as a medium of communication, speaking and thinking, but more important is the formulation and interpretation of the surrounding environment. This semantic research aims to present its purpose about the semantic concept of expressions in the Qur'an. The application of the semantics in the Qur'an study based on Izutsu is an analytical study of key terms in the language of the Qur'an to achieve a conceptual understanding of Qu’ran's view about the world. In other words, it attempts to detect human perceptions of the universe and life are reflected in the Qur’an, the conceptual system where it originates, and which contextual meanings give new words and meanings, key words that represent messages in understanding of a particular topic or the semantic field belongs to another group of words. There are for example semantic fields (Mufhomat systems revolving around coherent themes, Ukrawy fields) and keyword expressions which are considered as keys to understanding the meaning in this semantic field. And there is also what he calls the core word (al-Kalimah Al-Sameimah), the conceptual center of the important lexicon semantic sector, including a number of specific keywords.

Abstract

AbstractInterjection is the words used to show expressions spontaneously. Each language has different forms of interjection. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the intermediate form in Arabic. The data used in this study is written data in the form of Arabic novels and drama script. The data is obtained by the attentive observation method. The basic technique used is tapping technique. The advanced technique is by using the note technique. The methods used for the data analysis are distribution and contextual method. The results of the analysis show that based on the form of Arabic interjections, it can be grouped into primary forms, secondary forms, phrase form, and clause form. AbstrakInterjeksi merupakan kata-kata yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan ekspresi secara spontan. Setiap bahasa memiliki bentuk interjeksi yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran secara menyeluruh mengenai bentuk interjeksi dalam bahasa Arab. Data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data tertulis yang berupa novel dan naskah drama Arab. Data tersebut diperoleh dengan metode simak. Teknik dasar yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap. Adapun teknik lanjutannya menggunakan teknik catat. Metode yang dipergunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah metode distribusi dan metode kontekstual. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan bentuknya interjeksi bahasa Arab dapat dikelompokkan menjadi bentuk primer, bentuk sekunder, bentuk frasa, dan bentuk klausa.

Abstract

Fashahah according to the classic scholars is sealed by period, place, and vocabularies with certain conditions, while it according to contemporary scholars is a process of renewable development. In modern linguistics, it reveals the activities and thought of the modern Arab nation. It  continuously describes its function as a different transmitter of the Arabic functions according to classic scholars which is more dynamic and not static. The result concludes that the classical Arab in the Qur'an is in peak not only as a means of conveying the thought, but also becomes the religious and unifying language of Arab nations with its various specifications. The process of evolution occurring in Arabic Language includes its pronunciation, structure of grammar, and dilalah.

Abstract

Language plays an important role in human life. language and humans can not be separated. Humans in all their activities need language to communicate with other humans. Communication has various kinds, one of which is oral communication that can cause interference. This research is descriptive in qualitative form. In this study the author uses listening method, the basic technique is "Tapping Technique". The advanced technique I  is checking out the free involvement technique or "SBLC". Advanced technique II is a note-taking technique. Another technique is interview. The emphasis of the analysis in this study is the grammatical interference of Bahasa Indonesia  in mahārah kalām, of female students (santriwati) of Kulliyatul Mu’allimat Al-Islamiyah (KMI) at Ar-Risalah International Program of modern boarding school Ponorogo. Based on the emphasis of the analysis above, the authors chose the intralingual equivalent method as an analysis method. The presentation method of the data results analysis used in this study is an informal method. The results show that the form of Interference that occurs in the study location is in the form of morphological and syntactic interference. As for the factor underlying the interference in mahārah kalām of Santriwati at KMI Ar-Risalah boarding school is the difference in the system of first language or second language (interlingual transfer), analogy (excessive equation), thinness of user loyalty to recipient languages, the need for synonyms and transfer language because it brings habits in mother tongue.

Abstract

This study is was carried out to examine the students’ level of anxiety in speaking Arabic language. Approximately 103 Arabic language education students from a university in Central Java were selected purposively to participate in this study. The instrument used in this study was the modified and translated Foreign Language Speaking Anxiety Scale by Balemir from Huang. This questionnaire consisted of 28 items with five-point likert scale ranged from strongly disagree to strongly agree. The data was then analysed using Winstep version 3.73 from Rasch model as well as IBM Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23. The result from Rasch model analysis showed that majority of the students experienced a moderate level of anxiety in speaking Arabic language, and the personal reason is the most potential source of their anxiety. The independent sample t-test result revealed that the female students were more anxious than the male students while speaking. The Spearman’s rho test result indicated that there was negative significant correlation between students’ anxiety in speaking Arabic language with their acedemic achievement.

Abstract

This study discusses the evaluation model of nahwu learning in munaqasyah form at Islamic Boarding School/Pondok Pesantren (PP) Al-Luqmaniyyah Yogyakarta. The analysis is based on the theoretical framework of nahwu learning evaluation conducted at formal school and Islamic school (madrasah). With a realistic analysis to the theoretical frameworks and real conditions, the evaluation models can be mapped out; the relevance and urgency of the model in the whole lesson at this Islamic Boarding School can be known. The study results show that the munaqasyah is only applied in Alfiyah Class because this book is considered as the highest level of nahwu subject at PP Al-Luqmaniyyah. The implementation of munaqasyah to Alfiyah ibn Malik is done to measure achievement of the students (santri) in Alfiyah subject. The participation in Alfiyah continued until munaqasyah is considered as a standard that the students have followed the process gradually and completely.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal material conformity to core competencies and basic competencies in Arabic textbooks. In this research, the author uses library research method.  The data collection used is documentation techniques, and then the data are analyzed by using content analysis. The result of this research shows that from the three components of conformity assessment of textbook materials with Core Competence and Basic Competence, the material completeness component obtained is 57% (3 = complete enough), the second component about the material breadth is obtained by the result of 62% (3 = wide enough), and in the third component about the material depth, the percentage value is 85% (5 = very deep). Furthermore, from the three results of the analysis, it is obtained the average value of percentage of 68%, which means that the conformity of Arabic textbooks for VII grade published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs is with Core Competence and Basic Competence of 68% or in the category of quite appropriate (3). With this result, Arabic textbooks for VII grade published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs can be used as a compulsory handbook for students.

Abstract

This research uses qualitative descriptive approaching method and use study case research type. The data obtained from primary and secondary data sources, which data collection techniques are observation, interview, and documentation. The results of the research stated that in the life skill education design in the Arabic Language Learning at MI NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Kudus are: The aspects of life skills that will be developed are integrated and will be a part of the basic competencies that must be pursued accomplished with the achievement skills derived from the substance of the subject matter of Arabic Language Learning which is outlined into Prota, Promes, SK and KD Mapping, Syllabus, and RPP form. Implementation of life skill education in Arabic Language Learning at MI NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Kudus; according to the physiological and psychological level of students at the MI, it is emphasized on efforts to develop generic skills such as personal skills and social skills. While the supporting factors in the Life Skill Education implementation in Arabic Language Learning at MI NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Lor Undaan Kudus are: (1) Madrasah Religious Program; (2) Self Development Program in Madrasah; (3) Madrasah Cultural Development Program; (4) Most students have been studied at Diniyyah / TPQ. Whereas, the obstacles factors in the life skills education implementation in Arabic Language Learning at MI NU Tamrinut Thullab Undaan Lor Undaan Kudus are: (1) The lack of funds and facilities; (2) Educators are less motivated to be creative and innovative for using and developing learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning implementation of Arabic text reading with cognitive strategies of taking notes techniques and to describe the results of increased mastery of Arabic text reading of Arabic Education students at IAIM NU Metro Lampung through the use of cognitive strategies with taking notes techniques. This research is conducted at IAIM NU Metro Lampung. The research subjects are students in the fourth semester of the 2017/2018 academic year, totaling 11 students. The research design uses Classroom Action Research, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research is conducted in 2 cycles, with 2 meetings each cycle. The instruments used are test questions, observation sheets and interview guidelines. The results show that: (1) the ability of students to read Arabic texts with taking notes techniques has increased. At the first meeting of the first cycle, it is found that in the loud reading session, most students are less total in making a vote, but at the second meeting there has been an increase. (2) students also feel helped in understanding the contents of Arabic text by taking notes techniques because this technique is very simple and easy to apply. From the data obtained, it is known that the ability of students to understand the Arabic text has increased, namely before the action of student learning outcomes is carried out on average only 45% after the end of the action in the first cycle an average of 79%, and cycle II an average of 86% .
