Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni is an international journal dedicated for the publication of scientific articles in language education, literature, and arts education. It was firstly published on March 2000 with ISSN 1411-3732 in 2007 by Faculty of Language Literature and Arts Universitas Negeri Padang. This journal had ever been changed into Jurnal Bahasa dan Seni during 2004-2013. In 2014 this journal is renamed as Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni applies open journal system (OJS) and peer-reviewed online journal in 2017 with Online ISSN 2548-9097.

Abstract

The discussion of this paper is about simple and practical techniques of in integrating the teaching of Indonesian spoken language skills (listening and speaking) at Junior High School. The focus of teaching is developing speaking skill. The techniques are description technique, comprehension question, continuing story, series of story, retelling the story, guessing pictured story, giving clues and role playing. Abstract

Theater can be viewed as the strongest in denying post modernization. It also can be found in Indonesian postmodernism theater, especially through pastiche aesthetic idiom, parody, kitsch, camp, and schizophrenia which reveal and deconstruct the previous art theater modernization as well as the high culture modernization, or modernism itself. The purpose of this paper is to show how deconstructionist idiom occurs in the “Jalan Lurus” which can be viewed as one of Indonesian postmodern theaters. Abstract

As means of communication, language is an important element in mass media such as radio. Radio also has important role in the language construction and development. However, broadcasters tend to use informal language to interact with the youngster. This research is aimed at identifying the language used by broadcasters in SIPP FM Padang related to the reading method at “Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC)”. Abstract

The aim of the art education is to develop both the students’ physical and mental states maximally. The dance art in particular, appear to be one of the subjects tought in elementary school. This subject is aimed at enabling the students toacquire art learning. The art experience is expected to give support in the education efforts.that is why the curriculm of the dance art does not demand the students to be famous or to be professional dancer although there must be some talented student in this area. Abstract

People use many kinds of utterances in their daily activities that involve speakin. One of the utterances is interjection. This particular utterance is used to express the emotional feeling to the listener. Generally, interjections are used in spoken language except the using the novel or comics. One of the expressions of interjection is “outou” (answer). This is an expression to see the respond or answer from the listener. The expression can be a comment or reaction towards the listener’s opinion and demand. Keywords: “kandoushi” (interjection words), “outou” (jawaban).

Abstract

This paper is discusses the use of game in relation to some theories in the psycholinguistic area, kinds of game, and its procedures for elementary students. Game can be said as one of alternatives for joyful learning. In Psycholinguistic, it is believed that the use of game can stimulate the use of games stimulate the students’ cognitive and language development. This simulation occurs in the cognitive development and ability to use language productively, especially the ability to speak. The cognitive development and the ability to use language are one of the best techniques gained by applying these six games such as “please guess, riddles, twenty questions, charades, and let’ tell a story”. To achieve the expected result, these games need to be conducted by the appropriate procedures, of course, by analyzing students’ characteristics. It is expected that by applying these six games, the students’ difficulties in speaking can be reduced. Keywords: game, cognitive development, speaking ability, elementary students, psycholinguistics

Abstract

This article is aimed at finding out  the role of art in a language teaching. The data were gathered through library research, observation, and interviews with art practitioners concerning the role and the influence of art in human life as viewed from its characteristics.  The research shows that art has a role in shaping behavior and developing multi-intelligence. In conclusion, art has contributed to all aspects of life including a language teaching. In this case, art has contributed in improving the ability to manage teaching learning process and helping the learners to actualize various potential abilities they have. Abstract

Case grammar was first introduced by Charles J. Fillmore. It is a modification of the theory of grammar transformation which previously presents the conceptual framework of case relationship with the traditional grammar. Fillmore develops grammatical case after the problem of grammatical generative transformation occurred.
