Abstract

ABSTRACTThe article was written to describe the reading comprehension skills of exposition text with the skills of writing exposition students class X SMAN 1 Payakumbuh. The type of this stuudy is quantitative research by using descriptive method. The research design used is correlational. Population in this study is students of grade X SMAN 1 Payakumbuh registered in the academic year 2017/2018 amounted to 396 students. Sample were taken using proportional random sampling. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that correlation between reading skill with writing skill of exposition text student class X SMAN 1 Payakumbuh with convidence 95% with degree of freedom n-1; t-count> t-table (8,37)> (1.67 ). Therefore, reading comprehension skills of expository text has a correlation the skills of writing exposition text Kata kunci: korelasi, membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks eksposisi

Abstract

The purposes of study were to  (1) describe the forms of speech acts of illocution, (2) to describe the function of speech acts of illocution, and (3) to describe the narrative strategy used in the Summary Antim of Youth Teens of 2015. This type of research is qualitative by using descriptive method. The result of the research shows (1) The form of the act of speech illocution found that is representative, expressive directive, competetive declaration, convivial kolabotatif and conflict (3) strategy found that consist of speech act strategy speak frankly without without preamble tend to be used in context of utterance which is spoken by persons of equal standing and age. A straightforward, no-nonsense strategy of positive politeness tends to be used in the context of the speech that a younger character tells a younger character. The strategy of telling frankly without preamble to speak negatively tended to be told by an older figure to a younger character, already familiar in public. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to describe skills in writing short story of studentsclass X SMA Negeri 1Lubuk Sikaping before and after use modeling techniques, with describe the effect of the use of modeling techniques in writing short storyof studentsclass X SMA Negeri 1Lubuk Sikaping. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design.The results of this research areshort story writing skills of students class X SMA Negeri 1Lubuk Sikaping before use modeling techniques is more fairly and grades LdC, and after use modeling techniques is good and grades B, and based on t-test, results concluded that the use of modeling techniques influence the short story writing skills class X SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping because ttable<tcount (1,68<10,32). Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik pemodelan, cerita pendek.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) desciribe the skill of writing the news berfore using modeldiscovery learningmedia assisted object directly, (2) desciribe the skill of writing the news aftermodeldiscovery learningmedia assisted object directly, (3) describe effect between using of modeldiscovery learningmedia assisted object directlyon the skill of writing to the news of class VII SMPNegeri 2 Padamg. The data in this research is the score of writing skill of the news. The source of this research data of class VII of SMPNegeri 2 Padang, amounting to 32 people.The findings of this research it is concluded that there is a significant effect between using of modeldiscovery learningmedia assisted object directlyon the skill of writing to the news of class VII of SMPNegeri 2 Padang. Kata kunci:  pengaruh, model pembelajaran kooperatf tipe think pair share, dan keterampilan menulis berita.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to describe the effect of discovery learning method on the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. The data of this research is score of test resultof writing short story without using discovery learning method and using discovery learning method seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded the following three points. First, the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman without using discovery learning method is in qualification Enough (C). the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman using discovery learning method is in good qualification (B). Third, based on the results of t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at level siginificance 95% and degrees of freedom (dk) = n1 + n2 - 2 for tcount> ttable (5.69> 1.67). In other words, the skill of writing short story text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman using discovery learning method better than without using discovery learning method. Kata kunci: pengaruh, metode discovery learning, menulis teks cerita pendek

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to (1) describe grade ability in writing news text without using PBL model, (2) describe grade ability in writing news text with using PBL model, and (3) describe the effect of the use of PBL model, toward students’ ability in writing news text. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) the students’ ability in writing news text without using PBL model is low and grades C with average 67,38, (2) the students’ ability in writing news text with using PBL model is high and grades B with average 82,26, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis (H­1) is gained at the significant phase 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = (n1+n2)-2 because tcount> ttable (5,659>1,67). Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model problem based learning, menulis berita

Abstract

There are four aims of the reseaech. First, to decribe how is the way to communicate toward the lecture. Second, to describe the principle of languange politeness in sending SMS to the lecturer. Third, to describe the scale of students languange politeness in sending SMS. Fourth, to describe the politeness of student’s languange SMS toward lecturer. This reseaech used qualitative research which   used   descriptive   methode.   It   was   done   at   Universitas   Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin Solok. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kekhususan gaya bahasa dalam cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan retoris dan  kiasan  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen  Kabut  Negeri  si  Dali  karya A.A.  Navis.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini adalah kata, frasa, klausa, atau kalimat   yang dapat dirumuskan sebagai gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A Navis. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara : (1) membaca dan memahami gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis, (2) mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasi data yang berhubungan dengan gaya bahasa retoris dan kiasan. Hasil penelitian dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali karya A.A. Navis adalah sebagai berikut ini: (1) Gaya bahasa  retoris  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen  Kabut  Negeri  si  Dali  yaitu,  pleonasme, eufimisme,  erotesis/pertanyaan  retoris,  hiperbola,  klimaks,  antitesis,  dan  paradoks. Gaya bahasa retoris yang dominan dalam kumpulan cerpen tersebut adalah hiperbola. (2) Pendayagunaan gaya bahasa kiasan dalam kumpulan cerpen Kabut Negeri si Dali di antaranya alusio, simile, metafora, personifikasi, sinekdoke, metonimia, sarkasme, ironi, sinisme,  dan  alegori.  Gaya  bahasa  kiasan  yang  dominan  dalam  kumpulan  cerpen tersebut adalah metafora. Retoris dan kiasan dalam cerpen dapat diimplikasikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Dengan mempelajari retoris dan kiasan, pendidik dan peserta didik diharapkan mampu menghargai dan mengindahkan kehadiran bahasa dalam cerpen Indonesia. Semua hal tersebut dapat diterapkan dalam pendidikan formal, baik ditingkat sekolah menengah pertama atau menengah atas. Kata kunci: retoris, kiasan, cerpen, implementasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of cooperative learning of think pair share type to writing skill in class VIII at Junior High School 30 Padang. The kind of this research is quantitative research with experiment metode. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of writing a one-act drama script grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 30 without the use of cooperative learning model types think pair share qualification enough (C) with an average value of 61,82. Second, the skills of writing a one-act drama script grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 30 by using cooperative learning model types think pair share is on the qualifications of either (B) with an average value of 82,32.  Third, based on the t-test results, it was concluded that the alternative hypothesis (H1) received on the standard of 95% and dk = (n1 + n2)-2 due tcount > ttable (9,32 > 1,67). Kata kunci: pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share, menulis naskah drama satu babak
