Abstract

As the compulsory subject at the senior high school, English is used for transferring and develop their knowledge, skill, and attitudes in the areas of science, technology, and art. English is crucial for the student in order to help them to understand the oral and written text in detail. Eventually, teachers have to prepare a good strategy to complete the student need of English in the class. Then, the school has HOTS as the strategy for the students. However, students are required to seek additional learning outside of school in order to enhance their learning in school. For this reason, Indonesian English course platform (Ruangguru) becomes the medium to optimize student’ HOTS. This quantitative research discussed 84 students of SMAN 1 Rejang Lebong. In obtaining the data, the eighty-four students of XII grade in academic year 2020/2021 were given a set of questionnaires to get the data whether Ruangguru can optimize students’ HOTS in learning English. The researcher collected the data, then determined the frequency and percentage of the students' responses. According to this study's findings, Indonesian English course platform (Ruangguru) can be a medium to optimize students’ HOTS beside learning English in the classroom. Based on three indicators that is provided by researcher, those are: Analyzing (71.83%), Evaluating (72.26%), and Creating (72.85%). Based on the result, Indonesian English course platform (Ruangguru) helps students to optimize students’ Higher Order Thinking in learning English

Abstract

This study aims to determine the supporting factors for the implementation of extracurricular PMR in strengthening student civic responsibility at SMAN 2 Sukoharjo. This study was conducted for 5 months using a qualitative descriptive method, namely by emphasizing facts in the field and giving a clear picture. Data collection using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was collected during and after data collection, namely including data reduction and presentation. The results of this study are factors that support the implementation of extracurricular PMR in strengthening civic responsibility in students with school support, involvement of teachers and coaches in PMR activities, qualified trainers and coaches, and resources. This is a supporter of PMR extracurricular activities in strengthening civic responsibility for students at SMAN 2 Sukoharjo.

Abstract

Evaluasi terhadap kurikulum yang dilaksanakan pada setiap sekolah sangat perlu untuk perkembangan pendidikan. Proses evaluasi program kurikulum merdeka bertujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa efektif pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan evaluasi CIPP. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa, guru mata pelajaran sejarah, wakil kepala sekolah bagian kurikulum, wakil kepala sekolah bagian sarana prasarana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, dengan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka di SMAN 2 Pandeglang diantaranya: Evaluasi konteks, sudah baik dan sudah sesuai dengan aturan pemerintah. Evaluasi input, sudah cukup dilihat dari perencanaan yang jelas dan mekanisme pembelajaran yang baik, namun sarana prasarana harus dibenahi. Evaluasi proses, persiapan guru sudah dan mekanisme pembelajaran sejarah dalam kurikulum merdeka sudah maksimal, namun terdapat pengurangan jam pelajaran sejarah. Evaluasi produk, hasil belajar sudah sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 2 Pandeglang sudah cukup baik dan layak, meskipun terdapat hal yang harus di benahi.

Abstract

Historical empathy is an aspect that is relevant to the student profile of Pancasila. The achievement of historical empathy can be a way to achieve a student profile of Pancasila. This study aims to: 1) analyze the correlation of students' historical empathy preferences with elements of the student profile of Pancasila; 2) formulate a historical empathy actualization model to achieve a student profile of Pancasila by referring to students' cognitive and affective preferences in learning history. This study uses a quantitative method to determine the correlation of historical empathy with elements of the student profile of Pancasila and a qualitative method to formulate interrelationships between components in the study and formulate a historical empathy actualization model to achieve a student profile of Pancasila. The results showed: 1) there was a significant correlation in the three aspects of empathy with the elements and sub-elements of the student profile of Pancasila; 2) based on students' cognitive and affective preferences in history learning, an actualization model can be formulated using two models, namely actualization that is relevant is the use of edutainment in history learning and project learning based on learning products.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas keterkaitan antara pengunaan quizizz sebagai alat evaluasi pembelajaran untuk menilai seberapa tinggi motivasi belajar peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran sejarah di SMA. Teknologi yang telah diciptakan dan berkembang memberikan keuntungan bagi manusia. Bidang pendidikan menjadi salah satu bidang yang terkena dampak teknologi. Dengan adanya teknologi maka pendidikan akan menjadi lebih mudah dijalankan dan menciptakan dalam penerapannya. Pembelajaran sejarah yang menjadi titik fokus penelitian ini dikaitkan dengan penerapan aplikasi quizizz. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes berjumlah 15 butir soal. Dari tes inilah nantinya dapat dilihat bahwa para peserta didik memiliki motivasi belajar atau tidak dengan diterapkannya metode quizizz. SMAN 99 Jakarta menjadi tempat dilaksanakannya penelitian ini dengan mengambil sampel dua kelas yang masing-masing berjumlah 34 peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan adanya pengaruh dan perbedaan antara penggunaan quizizz terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sejarah.Uji instrumen, uji asumsi dan uji t adalah jenis-jenis pengujian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini terbukti bahwa adanya keterkaitan atau pengaruh yang dihasilkan dari penggunaan quizizz terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik karena data hasil uji t mengatakan bahwa sig 0,00 < 0,05 dan t-hitung > ttabel yaitu 4,757 > 2,457. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa quizizz juga berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar jika diukur dari hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

The disruption era creates a social arrangement of life that adapts to the conditions and goals set. Indonesia, a Muslim majority, must be adjusted by educational innovations, namely independent learning. Adaptation and adoption are a necessity. Islamic higher education must be reformulated, characterised by a balance of human behaviour and the role of technology in education. The study explores how Islamic higher education can compete in society era 5.0. The results show that Merdeka Belajar innovation is carried out by developing in harmony with Merdeka Belajar curricula and multilevel learning innovations. While strengthening Islamic higher education is based on aqidah sohihah, philosophy, five senses, intuition, character, rationality, and authority as a source of knowledge, all of which must be used as an inspirational approach. The competitive advantage of Islamic higher education needs leadership skills and human resources, teamwork differentiation, cooperation network, service quality differentiation, financial innovation, religious culture, and quality culture. The research implies that the better the independent learning innovation, the more vital Islamic higher education through multifunctional, adaptive, and flexible learning with the highest level of competitive quality creates Islamic education that can be applied in society era 5.0

Abstract

Career is an important thing in human life. This is because there is an urge to improve in life. One alternative solution to help someone who has difficulty making career decisions is through the application of trait and factor theory. Trait and factor theory is a career counseling theory that views the right career choice when there is a match between the client's nature and job or position factors. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted at MAN Karimun. The research informants were 1 counseling teacher and 3 transitional class XII students. This study aims to examine in depth the application of trait and factor theory in the career planning of class XII students in the transition period at MAN Karimun. The results of the study show that the application of trait and factor career counseling theory can be an alternative solution to assist clients in planning and making career decisions.

Abstract

The aims of this research are 1) to find out the satisfaction of users of Education for Islamic Elementary School Teachers Programme (EIESTP) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta graduates, and 2) to know the analysis of the needs of graduate users to face the transformation of 21st Century Education. The population of this research is users of graduates from EIESTP UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta alumni/graduates in 2019, 2020, and 2021. The number of samples is determined by the Slavin formula. Based on the calculation results, the number of samples is 152 graduate users. Data collection instruments are closed questionnaires and documentation. The response results from graduate users are then analyzed using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The research findings show that 1) Satisfaction of users of EIESTP UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta graduates with the CSI method was obtained at 94.96% in the very satisfied category, and 2) EIESTP Study Program UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta needs to make improvements and increase expertise in the fields of knowledge, collaboration, and integrity ability of its graduates.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is expected to provide students with an understanding of scientific terms through experiments that can provide generic science skills. But this is still rarely done at the elementary school level. This study aims to analyze the science generic skills of elementary school students as an effort by the teacher to create learning that is able to make students understand and remember scientific terms. This study is qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study were obtained from class teachers and fifth grade students at Elementary School Muhammadiyah 22 Surakarta. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Test the validity of the data using the credibility test and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques consist of data collection, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The results showed that students' generic science skills in science learning obtained a percentage of 75%. The highest score is in the aspect of symbolic language (25%) shown by the activities of students mentioning symbols, symbols and scientific terms in presentations related to the water cycle process. The lowest score 0% absence of student activities. The research contribution is teachers must teach science through experimental activities of measuring rainfall, or similar experiments that are adapted to the topic of the material so that aspects of generic science skills can be developed in a more balanced way in each aspect so as to be able to provide more comprehensive science skills and knowledge in learners.

Abstract

The current research has primary objective that is to assess the effect of implementing the Inquiry-Based Learning Model in enhancing students' academic performance in the field of Science at SMA Smart Indonesia. The Inquiry-Based Learning Model promotes proactive student engagement in exploring, gathering, and interpreting information through independent investigation. The study utilized a quasi-experimental design encompassing pre-test and post-test phases. The participants were selected randomly via a simple random sampling technique. The acquired data underwent analysis using the N-Gain method (T-test). The outcomes revealed a noticeable improvement in the academic performance of students in the experimental group who were exposed to the Inquiry-Based Learning Model, particularly in the context of the human respiratory system. Furthermore, the null hypothesis (H0) was invalidated, as was proven by the 2-tailed Significance value of 0.000 that was smaller than 0.05. This discovery underscores the substantial positive impact of applying the Inquiry-Based Learning Model on enhancing students' academic achievements when compared to conventional teaching methods employed in the control group. In conclusion, this study highlights the significant potential of integrating the Inquiry-Based Learning Model into the Natural Science curriculum at the secondary school level, which could potentially elevate the standard of education and overall student learning accomplishments.
