Abstract

Mathematics is one of the areas of study that must be studied at elementary level (SD /MI). The intellectual development of SD/MI students is still at the concrete operation stage, so that a teacher in presenting mathematics material needs to master the material of mathematics study which he/she teaches as well as the mastery of mathematics learning strategy and approach, in this case the approach of learning in elementary school. Learning is more than just remembering. For students, to understand and be able to apply science, they must work to solve problems, find something for themselves, and always grapple with ideas. Students should build their knowledge in their own minds, teachers can assist in this process, by means of teaching that make information very meaningful and highly relevant to students, by allowing them to discover and apply their own ideas and by encouraging students to be aware of and consciously using their own strategies for learning. This approach is called constructivist approach.

Abstract

Reading is an important skill for students, in particular for Islamic studies students who often study rich textual texts. They are required to understand and grasp information quickly form the texts. This requires teachers and students to poses approriate reading technique in a classroom teaching. Researchers have proposed many reading teaching techniques from traditional and modern perspectives in many reading classroom studies, but limited researchers have proposed an appropriate reading technique for summarizing a reading text in particular for Islamic studies students context. This paper proposes a content-based summarizing techniques for reading calssroom to improve students skill to grasp information faster compared to traditional techniques. The discussion of this paper shows that the content-based summrizing technique is potential to be implemented in a reading classroom, in particularly for Islamic studies classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out the correlation of Islamic Education teacher’s discipline with the achievement of student learning on the subject of Islamic Education at SDN Inpres Margapura (2) to know the correlation between the professionalism of Islamic Education teachers with the achievement of student learning on the subject of Islamic Education at SDN Inpres Margapura, and (3) to know the correlation of discipline and professionalism of Islamic Education teachers with student achievement on Islamic Education at SDN Inpres Margapura. This study uses quantitative approach. The population in this study was all students of class VI SDN Inpres Margapura Academic Year 2016/2017 which amounted to 45. The sample is determined by using proportional random sampling technique using a formula developed by Isaac and Michael. Data were obtained by using questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, and correlation analysis. The result of research shows that (1) there is a significant correlation between Islamic education teacher’s disciplines with student achievement of SDN Inpres Margapura in Islamic Education Lesson, with significance level of 5% correlation index of both variables of 0.452 means strong enough. (2) There is a significant correlation between professionalism of Islamic education teacher and student achievement of SDN Inpres Margapura on Islamic education subject with significance level of 5% relation index of both variables of 0.661 is strong, (3) There is a correlation between discipline and professionalism teachers of Islamic education with the achievement of students of SDN Inpres Margapura on Islamic education subjects, with a significance level of 5% index of relations between the two variables of 0.663 means strong. Contribution of variables of discipline and professionalism of teachers of Islamic Education simultaneously on learning achievement Students of SDN Inpres Margapura In Islamic Education Lesson is 43.96% and the remaining 56.04% is determined by other variables outside of this research including the level of intelligence/ intelligence, interests, talents, motivation, health, parenting parents and others.

Abstract

Nahw's foundation of science is the Qur'an, hadith, verse, and Arabic expression which is believed to be true. The scholars endured this burden with considerable sincerity. The cause of the compilation of the science of Nahw is the occurrence of errors in reading the Qur’an and speaks the language. The first cleric to attempt to correct the mistakes committed by Muslims at the time, was Abu al-Aswad al-Duali (w 69 H). The work done by Abu al-Aswad al-Duali, is to punctuate the qur’an, as a sign of raf ', nasb, jarr, and jazm. The effort of Abu al-Aswad al-Duali in spelling the Qur'anic punctuation is seen as an attempt in the field of Nahw science and not an attempt in the form of a book or book that is composed and contains the problems of Nahw or grammar. The work in the form of the book was done by the scholars who came after it, after seeing the efforts made by Abu al-Aswad al-Duali. The scholars who succeeded in composing Nahw's science in the form of a book, Isa Bin Umar al-Saqafi (w 149 H), with two books each titled Kitāb al-Jāmi 'and Kitāb al-Mukmil, al-Khalil bin Ahmad al-Farahidi (175) with his work Kitāb al-'Ain, Sibawaih (188 H) with his work Kitāb Sibawaih and Qutrub (d 206 H) with his book Kitāb al-'Ial Fī al-Nahw.

Abstract

As technology has been found to be increasingly contributing to language classroom, computer assisted language learning (CALL) has received respectable amount of attention as one of the approaches in teaching and learning foreign language. Computers would never substitute teachers but they offer new opportunities for a better language practice. This paper is aimed to explore what actually the computer language learning (CALL) is and how to apply it in English language classroom. The discussions covered CALL’s definition, history, trend, design, types, and the relation of CALL to language skills and components. All in all, the paper presents the advantages and disadvantages of CALL followed by recommendations for teachers/lecturers on the applying of computer assisted language learning in their language classroom.

Abstract

The research aims at Developing Speaking Skill of the Third Semester Students of TBI FTIK IAIN Palu through Tablemate Interview. The subject of the research was the third semester consisted of 24 students of TBI FTIK IAIN Palu. The research was classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data of this research were obtained from the results of the test and observation sheet, field notes, during the implementation of the action. The findings of the research showed that Tablemate Interview was effective in developing students’ speaking skill. The effectiveness of Tablemate Interview was shown by the improvement of students’ score. The findings revealed that in cycle 1 there were thirteen students who achieved minimum criteria of achievement. It means that the classical achievement was 54.16%. In cycle 2, it found that there were twenty four or all students who achieved the minimum criteria of achievement. It means that the gained achievement was 100%. Gained achievement is based on the number of students who got the score at least the criteria of success (65). Both of the gained and individual achievements have met the criteria of success. It can be concluded that the Tablemate Interview was effective to develop the students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning the Arabic language with singing method. Problematic in teaching Arabic is to singing and to know the common efforts of teachers in overcoming these problems. This study is a qualitative field by taking TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Atfal background. The data collection is done by conducting observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data used there by means of descriptive analysis using inductive method. The results showed; 1.pelaksanaan learning Arabic with singing method quite effective. As evidenced by the many students who love to sing in Arabic, began to recognize Arabic and memorize mufradat given by the teacher. Problematic in this case there are a few that the linguistic problem is the sound system and vocabulary for children at an early age is not fluent in the pronunciation of the letters and memorize easily forgotten if not repeated. While the non-linguistic problem is the lack of educational background of teachers in this school Arabic, Arabic language lessons mufradat only limited recognition alone. The efforts of teachers in addressing these problems with the singing seek specific guidance Arabic language teacher and student roles. Reproduce songs from the Arabic language and the words replaceable, repeating rote and received a teacher of the PBA.

Abstract

Implementation of the decentralization of education requires principals and school supervisors to develop an effective and productive, with full independence and accountability. Education Indonesian nation today is very alarming many cases that occur in every country. The problem of education in Indonesia is increasingly complicated, multiply and complex. One of the educational problems faced by the people of Indonesia are the low quality/quality of education at all levels and educational unit, although it may have been many efforts made to improve the quality of national education, such as curriculum, national and local, improving the competence of teachers through the provision of books and learning tool as well certification programs, procurement and improved infrastructure and improving the quality of school management. Nevertheless, various indicators of the quality of education have not shown significant improvement. Some schools, especially in Palu showed an increase in the quality of education is quite encouraging, but others are still apprehensive.

Abstract

Abstract The research aims at Improving the Literal Reading Achievement of Grade VII Students of SMPN 11 Palu through Cooperative Learning. The subject of the research was Grade VII Students of SMPN 11 Palu consisted of 26 students of Grade VII. The research was classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data of this research were obtained from the results of the test and observation sheet, field notes, during the implementation of the action. The findings of the research showed that The students’ literal reading comprehension could be developed by implementing the Cooperative Learning. The students were able to answer the literal questions on their reading a text. During the process of implementing cooperative learning, I distributed the students equally and paid attention to the discussion in the group.. In addition, I used my time effectively to help the students during discussion time and give more chance for the low ability students. Comparing the result of students’ achievement in the first cycle, the students’ achievement on second cycle has significant development This can be studied from the result of teacher’s performance was categorized as good enough. The same thing happened for the students’ performance. The average score of the students in the test in cycle I increased from 62.12 to 79.32 in cycle II, while the mastery level improved from 38.46% in cycle I to 92.30% in cycle II.

Abstract

The roots of Islamic education in Indonesia can be traced from the existence and role of Islamic education which have been acted before Indonesia's independence. Islamic education so that was born and developed until now, it has become an integral part of the national education system, because in the value of education and institutional Islam was born and developed before the establishment of the national education system. It appears from the role of madrasah or Islamic boarding schools in various regions in Indonesia. After independence and the national education system is established, Islamic education was later recognized as part of the sub-national education system. The enactment of Law No. 20 of 2003 on the national education system emphasized the existence of Islamic education as part of the national education Islamic education is not only a sub-national education system but has become part of the national education system.
