Abstract

The prevalence of breast cancer continues to increase in the world, including in Indonesia. The main factor causing breast cancer is not yet known certainly. The research was conducted to determine the correlation between hormonal contraceptive use and the prevalence of breast cancer. The research design was case control. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The number of samples was 85 cases and 85 controls. The case group was women with breast cancer at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta in 2017. The control group was a woman who checked herself in Obsgyn RSUP Dr. Sardjito in 2017 who was not breast cancer and other cancers. The data collected through secondary data was taken from medical records. The analysis was done using Chi-square test and logistic regression. There was a significant correlation between hormonal contraceptive use and breast cancer prevalence p-value = 0.004 OR = 2.378 (95% CI 1.2282-4.412). The use of hormonal contraception increased the risk of breast cancer prevalence by 2.378 times. Other risk factors were found at age 40 years old p-value = 0.002 OR = 2.641 (95% CI 1.416-4.925), age of menarche <12 years p-value = 0.004 OR = 2.868 (95% CI 1.366-6.021), obesity p-value = 0.002 OR = 2.875 (95% CI 1.434-5.765), and nullipara p-value = 0.005 OR = 4.000 (95% CI 1.402-11.410). The suggestion was that midwives and prospective acceptors/acceptors of family planning pay attention to the risk factors for hormonal contraceptive use on breast cancer prevalence and other risk factors that affected breast cancer.

Emesisgravidarum in early pregnancy can be reduced by non-pharmacological approaches including herbs such as ginger, mint, chamomile, acupuncture, and massage. The research method used is Quasy Experiment Design with Time Series Design. The study was carried out at Kesesi I Primary Health Care in Pekalongan Central Java 2018. The sampling using Purposive sampling and obtained as many as 30 respondents. The statistical test used is the Mann Whitney Test. The results of this study showed that administration before and after ginger decoction in pregnant women reduced the frequency of emesis gravidarum with an average difference of 2,333 with p-value 0,000 <? (0,05). In the mint leaf group, the mean difference was 1,200 with p-value 0,000 <? (0,05). This shows that both the ginger stew and mint leaves have an effect on decreasing the frequency of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women. For efficacy results obtained the decoction of ginger with a mean rank of 20.87 compared with the group of mint leaves decoction of 10.13 so it can be concluded that the ginger stew is more effective than mint leaves.

Abstract

Preeclampsia affects about 4% of all pregnancies and is the major cause of maternal morbidity and mortality, fetal, and neonatal worldwide. There are risk factors that lead to preeclampsia in the pregnant woman. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors which most influence the incidence of preeclampsia. This was an observational analytic study with case-control study design. The populations were all pregnant and postpartum mothers who were treated in RSUD dr. Soeselo Slawi from January to June 2018. Total of samples were 222 which consist of 111 cases and 111 control sample. The sampling method of the case used simple random sampling technique. Data were obtained from medical records. The analyses which used in this study were chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results showed there were a significant difference between the previous preeclampsia (p-value = 0,047), hypertension (p-value = 0,000), and diabetes mellitus (p-value = 0,057) in the case group and the control group. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that hypertension is the most dominant risk factor that causes preeclampsia. Previous preeclampsia, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus are the risk factors that most influence the incidence of preeclampsia.

One indicator is to know the quality of service that is the level of client satisfaction toward the service provided. The purpose of this research is to find out client satisfaction while getting assistance from midwifery students. Counseling begins in the second trimester of pregnancy until the birth and newborns for about 3 months. This study is a descriptive study, which describes or describes the facts or circumstances or visible symptoms. Samples in this study were 41 trimesters III pregnant women in the area of Puskesmas Bangetayu, Semarang. Overall, the respondents are satisfied with the assistance of midwifery students in midwifery care in Puskesmas Bangetayu, Semarang. This is evident from the high percentage of satisfaction and quality of service that equally shows very satisfied and good quality. There needs to be further research on the quality of service, particularly how the care provided or how the service progresses. Assistance is done from the beginning of the trimester of pregnancy or is done since pregnancy planning.
