Abstract

Coffee is one of the plantation commodities that contribute to the significant role for agricultural development in Indonesia. Indonesia has two main coffee varieties, namely Arabica coffee and Robusta coffee. The objectives of the study were characterization of physical properties and quality of sensory coffee dye and instant coffee. The materials used are Robusta coffee and Arabica coffee. Physical properties analyzed were total dissolved solids by using refractometer. Sensory quality was tested by a distinctive scoring method that included aroma, taste, viscosity and color parameters. The results showed that the highest total dissolved solids were Arabica dye (43,67) compared to Robusta coffee (42,80). Instant coffee has the strongest flavor, taste and viscosity characteristics compared to coffee dyes. A strong flavor quality is owned by Arabica instant coffee. The strongest steeping quality is owned by Robusta instant coffee. High filling (condensed) is owned by Arabica type instant coffee. The color of the dark sedan is owned by Arabica instant coffee and Robusta. Keywords : Dye Coffee, Instant Coffee, Arabika, Robusta, sensory.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to determine : 1) attributes criteria that are considered by consumer in coffee buying process, 2) consumer attitudes toward coffee product attributes of PDP Kahyangan than its competitor (Kapal Api Special). The method of data analysis used in this research is the Fishbein Attitude Model. This research uses eight attributes of product, those are colour, aroma, flavour, acidity, viscosity, package, price, product availability, and product recognition. Based on this research flavour, aroma and accidity attribute are the most considered by consumer in coffee buying decision process and then followed by viscosity, product availability, colour, product recognition, package, and price. The total value of consumer attitudes toward both PDP Kahyangan and Kapal Api Special are positive, that is with the value of 138,53, it’s fewer than Kapal Api Special (162,85). Consumer attitude in flavour product attribute of PDP Kahyangan is better than Kapal Api Special, with the best value of 23,03. It showed that consumer acceptance flavour product attribute of PDP Kahyangan is is better than Kapal Api Special.

Abstract

Extensive land and diversity of local feed sources allows Papua to have great potential in the development of beef cattle. However, with the traditional livestock breeding system, where livestock is only released and feed still depends on the availability of nature it will certainly affect the productivity of livestock. In addition, farmers have not mastered the feed technology appropriately so that the source of feed has not been utilized optimally to support the growth of livestock. The long dry season in Merauke Regency has an impact on the limited of forage feed in terms of quality and quantity that directly affect the productivity of livestock. On the other hand, the extent of rice cultivation area in Merauke Regency by itself is enough rice cultivation available potentially as beef cattle feed, but the potential has not been optimally utilized. Strategic measures need to be taken such as improving maintenance systems through technological assistance at the farm level. This study aims to present data and information on the reproductive performance of beef cattle before and after assistance in the farming of beef cattle in the Lembu Agung Farmer Group, Kurik District, Merauke Regency. The results of technological assistance at the farm level through improved feeding on parent beef cattle can improve the performance of the parent rerpoduksi that can improve the cows body condition score (BCS) from the range 2 - 2,5 to 3 - 3,5; fix the service per conception (S/C) value to   < 2; shortening the calving interval from 18 - 24 months to 13 - 15 months; increase the calf's birth weight to 25 - 28 kg and improve changes in body weight. Abstract

The development of livestock sub-sector is one of the strategic choices in supporting the national economy. Technological innovation plays a very big role in efforts to increase productivity and food production, especially livestock. Livestock groups are a good way to apply innovation to breeders. Institutional livestock is expected to be a means to increase technology adoption. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the adoption of technology in dairy goat breeders. This research was conducted in Lembah Meru, Jember in August-September 2016, using descriptive method of case study. The results showed that internal factors such as age, educational level, farming experience, number of family members, livelihood, income level, motivation, and number of livestock ownership have no significant effect on technology adoption rate. Factors of age, education level, number of family members, and type of livelihood have a positive value on the rate of technology adoption. The capability of breeders in managing innovation shows high yields such as: (1) adaptability with innovation; (2) the ability to refine innovation; (3) the ability of commitment to innovation; (4) the ability to implement innovation; And (5) the ability to manage the available resources.

Abstract

Smoking limitation implemented by government by issuing government regulation causes dilemma for cigarette companiesthemselves. Cigarette companiesare labor intensive companies which can reduce unemployment in Indonesia. However, this thing raises negative impact for the smokers themselves than passive smokers. This research aims to find out bankruptcy potential of cigarette companies listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia by using Altman Z-Score analysis because of regulation made by government. Research design used in this research is explanatory. In this research, the processed data is secondary data in form of published financial report. Research result shows that financial performance of PT. BENTOEL INTERNASIONAL INVESTAMA Tbk. in year period of 2013 was in the area of bankruptcy threatened because it suffers loss. While in 2014 – 2015, it was in the area of prone to bankruptcy. It shows that regulation issued by government did not have any influence in cigarette companies’ performance generally. It was proven that only PT. BENTOEL INTERNASIONAL INVESTAMA Tbk. that was in the prone to bankruptcy area, while PT. HANJAYA MANDALA SAMPOERNA Tbk., PT. GUDANG GARAM Tbk and PT. Abstract

The Research Was Aimed To Know Factors That Influence And Dominant To Egg Layer Duck Bussiness Of Semi-Intensive Poultry Farm In Jember. The Method Used Is Survey Method With 30 Respondents Semi-Intensive Duck Breeders. The Result Of Data Processing Using Multiple Linier Regression Can Be Acquired Aquation: From The Equation Means That For Every Unit Of Egg Production Will Be Affected By X1 (Age Of Ducks) Of -15,376, X2 (Feed) Of 0,001, X3 (Medication) Of 0,061, X4 (Employee) Of -0,013, X5 (Fuel) Of -0,022, X6 (Density Of Cage) Of -192,147, And X7 (Long Of Free-Range) Of -410,626. Can Be Concluded Employee Factor Have A Major Influence On The Production Of Duck Eggs. Abstract

The objective of Community Service Scheme Program for Community in KUB Ayu Kelurahan Kranjingan is to assist partner business groups in their efforts to improve partner productivity through the application of appropriate technology and business management training. Problems related to the production process faced by partners are 1) food frying is still done by traditional way, and 2) Partners difficulty in managing financial administration, management of raw material stock control, management of stock control of finished material. Motode in the manufacture of vacuum frying machine (Vacuum Frying Machine) begins with the process of planning, manufacturing, testing, and training the use of machinery for members of partners. The implementation method consists of 4 stages, the first coordination and socialization of the activity plan, the two identification and validation of partnerproblems, the three design, assembly, and field test of equipment and machinery according to the needs of partner technology, the four counseling and mentoring. The result of Community Science and Community Service program can realize the implementation of vacuum fryer machine with specification of raw material capacity 3 kg / process, LPG fuel with automatic temperature control, water circulation coolant, cooking oil volume: 35 liters, power requirement 900 watt, 180 dimension X 120 x 120 cm, with an oil heating temperature range of 80 0C to 87 0C. The frying time ranges from 90-120 minutes. Variations of chips raw materials include; Jackfruit, pineapple, with depreciation rates of 70%, 60% and 80%, respectively. Training of financial administration management skills, management of raw material stocks, management of finished material stock control has brought social and economic impact to KUB Ayu's partners. Keyword : Training of fruit chips, Vacuum Frying Machine, KUB Ayu.

Abstract

Sustainable sea cultivation has efficient features in resource use, productive and non-destructive environments. Under the Code of Conduct of Responsible Fisheries governing sustainable aquaculture development, it emphasizes the importance of a preliminary evaluation of the impact of aquaculture on genetic diversity, the integrity of the ecosystem, and the life of local communities (Sudrajat, 2008). This study was conducted with the main purpose of obtaining accurate information about the carrying capacity of the aquatic environment used for the development of floating net karamba business in the Pasir Putih Beach area of Situbondo Regency.Based on the results of research that has been done in Karamba Floating Net Pasir Putih Coastal Situbondo, it can be concluded that (1) The water quality in the aquatic environment in KJA area of Pasir Putih Beach Situbondo is still in accordance with the sea water quality standard of KepMen LH No. 51 of 2004 and considered feasible for the development of aquaculture activities in Karamba Floating Net. Keywords : Carrying Capacity, Karamba Floating Net
