Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship and influence of understanding mathematical concepts with mathematical reasoning in learning matrix on grade XI of senior high school. In this study the survey method was conducted using random sampling. The scores were obtained from the 54 students' understanding and mathematical reasoning tests. Based on SPSS calculations 20. Correlation coefficient between the understanding of mathematical concepts with mathematical reasoning is 0.695, meaning a strong relationship. The significance value is 0,000 <0,005 which means that it is significant. The regression equation is  = -0,989 + 9,71, if there is no concept understanding then mathematical reasoning is negative. The regression coefficient X value of 9.71 states that each addition of one value to the understanding of mathematical concepts will increase mathematical reasoning by 9.71. From the data and analysis above, it is shown that there is a significant relationship between understanding concepts and students' mathematical reasoning on the matrix material, indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0.695, which means a strong relationship, sig. 0,000 <0.005 that means significant.

Abstract

This study analyzes the learning of the Whole of Government through online classes at Latsar CPNS from Home during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Yogyakarta Financial Training Center. The method used is quasi experiment. The results of the study are as follows: the average post-test score of the class is 92 or very satisfactory, the highest score per participant with a score of 100 or very satisfying and the lowest is 81 or satisfying. The learning action plan is able to convey material up to 81% -95%. The disadvantages of online learning are the lack of understanding of the material and the constraint of unstable internet connections, while the strengths are interesting, fun, sharpening your dexterity in searching and finding answers. Suggestions for improvement are to add to the discussion of learning material, the form of questions with right-wrong answer choices be replaced by multiple choices, and reduce the number of post-test questions. In general online learning is considered positive and effective by participants so that it can be continued both during the pandemic and the new normal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to look at the comparison of Problem Posing and ProblemSolving learning models towards critical thinking skills in terms of students' Self Confidence in the function material. The research method is an experiment, in the form of a Quasi Experiment Design, with a 2x3 factorial design. The study population was all eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 SanggauLedo TA. 2019/2020 which consisted of 3 classes, that used the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The data analysis technique of the variance analysis of the two cell roads was not the same and it was concluded that (1) the Problem Posing learning model provided better critical thinking skills than Problem Solving; (2) students with high, medium and low self-confidencehad the same critical thinking skills; (3) in each learning model, students with high, medium and low self-confidencehad the same critical thinking skills; (4) in each category of students' self-confidence, the Problem Posing learning model provided better critical thinking skills than Problem Solving.

Abstract

Project-based modules in the learning process in Vocational High Schools  are widely used as a learning resource that is applied to improve the quality of student learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of project-based learning modules as a learning resource in improving student learning outcomes in Multimedia Productive subjects. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with nonequivalent control group design involving 63 students of Muhammadiyah Wonosari Vocational High School. The instruments used were in the form of pretest and posttest questions. Data analysis techniques to determine the significance and effectiveness of this study using the T-Test and Gain Score. The result showed there were significant differences in learning outcomes between students who used modules and students who used conventional methods with a significance level of 0.005 and project-based learning modules as a source of learning for vocational students to prove effective enough to improve student learning outcomes in Productive Multimedia subjects with a gain score of 0,669 which was classified as medium category.

Abstract

The strategy for generating student activity in the learning process is to use appropriate methods or models that learning can make students as subjects who try to explore themselves, solve their own problems of a concept being studied, while the teacher acts more as a motivator and facilitator. For this reason, this class action research was conducted to see whether contextual methods could increase student motivation in learning materials for Class XI of Administration Procedures of Office Administration 3 Department of Office Administration at SMKN 1 Kota Jambi. The subjects in this study were students of class XI of Office Administration 3 Department of Office Administration at SMKN 1 Kota Jambi, totaling 40 students, with 28 women and 12 men. This class action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle was a process flow which includes four stages, namely: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection. From reflection on cycle I, if it appeared that students had not reached the minimum value, then cycle II was performed to perfect cycle I. The Improvement of student learning outcomes seemed to be seen from Pre-Cycle to Cycle I and looked even more apparent from Cycle I to Cycle II.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, each university in Jakarta and Depok performs a distance learning system. A widely used application during distance learning is a Zoom Meeting. This research was conducted to know the effectiveness of Zoom Meeting application to students in Jakarta and Depok during COVID-19 Pandemic. This research was a qualitative with grounded theory method.  Data collection techniques were conducted with interviews through Google Form and Whatsapp to thirty two university students in Jakarta and Depok. The results of this study, showed that the use of Zoom Meeting application was not very effective for university students in Jakarta and Depok. However, the Zoom Meeting app was better because, in the application of Zoom Meeting communication between individuals was done orally compared to the use of a learning application that conductedwritten communication activities according to education communication theory.

Abstract

Results of cognitive learning of students in one of the schools in Lampung towards the chemistry lesson for the 2019/2020 school year showed less satisfactory. Out of a total of 9 grade XI IPA students, 5 students have not been able to reach the KKM because of the lack of students’ learning experience that has an impact on the low cognitive outcomes. Teachers overcome this problem by implementing the drill method. Chemical variation work requires a lot of practice. This article aims to expose the exercise methods to the implementation of students learning experiences and to improve student's cognitive learning outcomes. The methodology used was a literature study by collecting all references to issues that had been analyzed through mentor feedbacks and teacher teaching reflections. Literature studies showed that exercise method could help improve student's cognitive learning outcomes by following the implementation procedures of existing method. The exercise method looked at the students having each potential that needed to be trained and developed with the following implementation steps: 1). Teachers conveyed the purpose of learning. 2). Teachers provided motivation for learning. 3). Teacher provided material explanations with examples of questions. 4). The teacher checked the students ' understanding and gave the opportunity to ask. 5). The student did the exercise questions given by the teacher. 6). The exercise questions were discussed together by the teacher and the students as well as emphasized the concept of material that had not been masteredby students.

Abstract

Entrepreneur day participants for 3 years in general have always increased in number, but unfortunately the number of participants in the technopreneurship business field is less than expected, in 2019 there were 3 participants out of 160 participants. This amount is relatively small so that a research is needed concerning on what factors can influence student’s motivation and interest in becoming a technopreneur in informatics students. This study used a quantitative approach to the path analysis method with independent variables, namely internal and external factors, entrepreneurship motivation as an intervention variable and technopreneur interest as the dependent variable. The research sample wad students who had taken entrepreneurship courses in the informatics study program as many as 300 students. The results showed that internal factors and external factors influenced entrepreneurial motivation by 36.4%. Entrepreneurial interest was directly influenced by internal factors and entrepreneurial motivation, while external factors did not directly affect the interests of technopreneur and needed to be through entrepreneurial motivation.
