Abstract

Difficulty Analysis of Second Graders of Elementary School Students in Learning Counting Operation of Counting Numbers. This study is a qualitative study which is aimed at (1) Determine any difficulties experienced by students in learning addition and subtraction of natural numbers, (2) determine the cause of the difficulties experienced by students in learning the operations of addition and subtraction natural numbers, (3). Knowing how to solve the problems faced by students. The population in this study was 45 elementary school students in Purwosari grade 2. The samples in this study were 2 students taken by simple random sampling. Data collection was performed by the method of documentation, questionnaires, observation and tests. The results showed that: there are many students who are experiencing difficulties in arithmetic operations, especially regarding the sum of natural numbers and a reduction in borrowing store.Keywords: analysis of difficulties, arithmetic operations

Abstract

The Experimentation of Cooperative Learning Model, Group Investigation (GI) type and Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach Viewed from the student’s attitude of mathematics. The purpose of this study is to manifest which learning model of the GI with CTL approach, TAI with CTL approach or conventional. The research population was all of the students in Grade VII of State Junior High Schools in Ngawi regency. The samples of the research were taken by using the stratified cluster random sampling then chosen three schools namely SMPN 1 Kwadungan, SMPN 6 Ngawi, dan SMPN 2 Geneng. The data of the research were analyzed by using the unbalanced two-way analysis of variance. The results of this study showed that the GI and TAI with CTL result in the same learning achievement, but both results better than the conventional.Keywords: learning model, GI, TAI, conventional, CTL approach, students attitudes toward mathematics

Abstract

Comparison of Mathematics Learning Achievement of Students with CTL approach between Cooperative Learning Model of STAD Type and NHT viewed from students’ self-confidence. The objective of research is to find out which one providing better achievement, the CTL learning model with STAD, that with NHT or the direct learning model. The population of research was the students of Junior High Schools throughout Madiun Regency in the first semester of VIII grade in the school year of 2011/2012. The sampling technique used was stratified cluster random sampling with the students of SMP Negeri 2 Dolopo, SMP Negeri 2 Kebonsari and SMP Negeri 2 Geger as the sample. Technique of analyzing data used was 3x3 two-way variance analysis. From the result of analysis, it could be concluded that The mathematics learning achievement of students using STAD type of cooperative learning model with CTL approach was better than that using NHT type, that using STAD type with CTL approach was better than that using direct learning model, and that using NHT type with CTL approach was better than that using direct learning model.Keywords: CTL approach, STAD model, NHT, direct learning, self confidence.

Abstract

The Implementation of Clustering Technique to Improve Students’ Writing Skill in Descriptive Text of The Eighth Graders of MTs Darul Ulum Purwoasri Sukosewu Bojonegoro in the Academic Year Of 2012/2013. This research is aimed at finding out whether the implementation of clustering technique can improve students’ writing skill in descriptive text. This research is categorized as Classroom Action Research (CAR) in which there are two cycles in this research. The population of this research was the eighth graders of MTs Darul Ulum in the Academic Year of 2012/2013 which consists of 32 students. The result shows that the implementation of clustering technique can improve the students’ writing skill in descriptive text significantly of the eight graders of MTs Darul Ulum Purwoasri Sukosewu Bojonegoro in the Academic year of 2012/2013.Keywords: Clustering Technique, Writing Skill, Descriptive Text

Abstract

The Effectiveness Model of Modified Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Type of Cooperative Learning with Peer tutoring Viewed from the Student’s Multiple Intelligences. This research was conducted to find out: Which learning model giving better student learning achievement, STAD or modified STAD with peer tutoring. The research population was all XI graders of Vocational School (SMK) throughout Bojonegoro Regency in the school year of 2011/2012. The sampling used was stratified cluster random sampling and then chosen three schools namely SMKN 1 Bojonegoro, SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Sumberrejo, and SMK PGRI 3 Bojonegoro. Technique of analyzing data used was two-way anava 2x3 with different cell. In this research, it can be concluded that The student with the modified STAD type of cooperative learning with peer tutoring have better mathematics learning achievement than the students with STAD type of cooperative learning. Keywords : Modified STAD with peer tutoring, Multiple Intelligences, Mathematics Learning Achievement

Abstract

The Experimentation of Cooperative Learning (CL) and Group Investigation (GI) Viewed from Multiple Intelligences. The purpose of this study is to manifest: (1) which learning model of the CL, GI or expository; (2) which multiple intelligences with the linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematials intelligence or spatial inteligence results in a better learning achievement. The research population was all of the students in Grade V of State Primary School first semester of 2013/2014 at Bojonegoro regency. The samples of the research were taken by using the stratified random sampling technique and then chosen three schools namely SD Negeri 1 Dander, SD Negeri 1 Ngulanan, dan SD Negeri 2 Ngumpakdalem. The hypotheses of the research were tested by using the two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. The result of research were: (1) GI learning and Expository learning have better mathematics achievement than cooperative learning, meanwhile Expository learning have the same mathematics achievement as GI learning, (2) among students with linguistic intelligence, logical mathematical intelligence or visual spatial intelligence have the same mathematics achievement.Keywords: Clustering Technique, Writing Skill, Descriptive Text
