Abstract

Curriculum 2013 asked students to be active to construct their knowledge. The one way tomaked students to be active by asking questions. It can be integrated into the module. This researchaimed to get the scientific approach-based module using probing and propmting technicson reduction and oxidation reaction lesson and to showed the validity level and practicalityfrom module. This research utilized research and development (R&D) research which is used toget a product. The model of development used in this research is Plomp model, consist of (1)preliminary research, (2) prototyping stage, (3) assessment phase. The developed module is validatedby five validator and carried out practicality test by six students was small group evaluationand thirty students was field test at eleven grade of science at Senior High School 12 Padang.This research uses instrument, and questionnaire in which consisted of validity and practicalitysheets. Then, technic of data collection through questionnaire, “momen kappa”. thatreduction and oxidation reaction has high validity, (0.81) with a level of validity is very highand small group practicality is 0,87. Field test has been practicality 0.86 by students and 0.82by teachers with a level practicality was very high.Keywords : Module, scientific apporoach, probing and prompting techniqs, reduction and oxidationreaction, Plomp model

Abstract

Generally, in the research method, there are several types of research. The type ofresearch conducted is development research or Research and Development (R & D).This research aims to develop acid-base module based on problem based learning forlearning class XI SMA / MA, and evaluate the categories of validity and practicality ofthe module. The development model used in this development is a 4-D model consistingof 4 stages, namely define, design, development and disseminate. The problem basedlearning acid base module is validated by 5 validators consisting of 3 chemistry lecturersfrom FMIPA UNP and 2 chemistry teachers at SMAN 1 Payakumbuh which usingan instrument in the form of a validation sheet. Practical tests were carried out with 2chemistry teachers and 33 students of class XII IPA 5 SMAN 1 Payakumbuh using instrumentsin the form of practical questionnaires. The results of the analysis of the validity,practicality of the teacher, and the practicality of the students showed that theaverage score of moment kappa (k) was 0.82, 0.88 and 0.80. Abstract

Curriculum 2013 recommends scientific approach in learning and expects studentsto be critical thinking. The research aim to develop a buffer module based on scientificapproach for XI SMA/ MA class and to determine validity and practicality level. Thisdeveloped module uses probing questions (digging questions) and promting (guidingquestions) to train critical thinking students. This research is Research and Development(R&D) with 4-D model. Validity test was done by 2 chemistry lecturers at FMIPA UNP, 1chemistry teacher at SMAN 7 Padang, 1 chemistry teachers at SMAN 12 Padang and 1chemistry teacher at SMAN 13 Padang. Practicality test was done by 2 chemistryteachers at SMAN 7 Padang, 1 chemistry teacher at SMAN 13 Padang and 27 XII MIPA5 SMAN 7 Padang students. The instrument was validity and practical questionnaire anddata was analyzed by Cohen Kappa formula. This study produced a buffer module basedon scientific approach with an average kappa moments 0,94 which is very high level ofvalidity. The results of the teacher practicality test and the students practicality testobtained an average of kappa moments in a sequence of 0,91 and 0,73 with a very highlevel and high level of practicalityKeywords : module, buffer, scientific approach, probing and promting 4-D models

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsepmatematis siswa dengan menerapkan metode drill dan peta pikiran lebih baik daripadapemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswaKelas IX.4 SMPN 1 Ranah Pesisir Tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018. Jenis penelitian iniadalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian random terhadap subjek.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII Kelas IX.4 SMPN 1 RanahPesisir Tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018 yang terdiri dari enam kelas. Teknik pengambilansampel dilakukan secara acak, kelas IX5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan IX4 sebagaikelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes akhirpemahaman konsep matematis. Tes yang digunakan dalam bentuk esai denganreliabilitas tes adalah . Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji tsatu pihak dengan bantuan Minitab. Berdasarkan nilai tes akhir matematika siswa padakedua kelas sampel diperoleh rata-rata kelas eksperimen = 76,88 dengan simpanganbaku =18,44, rata-rata kelas kontrol = 64,41 dengan simpangan baku =17,10. Hasildari analisis data diketahui bahwa kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogenpada taraf kepercayaan dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t satupihak dengan bantuan MINITAB, diperoleh P-value sebesar 0,005 kurangdari , sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsepmatematis siswa dengan menerapkan metode drill dan peta pikiran lebih baik daripadapemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswaKelas IX.4 SMPN 1 Ranah Pesisir Tahun Pelajaran 2017/ 2018 pada taraf kepercayaan95%.Kata Kunci: Penerapan Metode Drill. Abstract

According to World Health Organization (WHO), 90% of school-aged children in the world havecaries in their teeth. Caries is caused by plaque and it can only be cleaned by brushing. Thecorrect technique of brushing behavior is based on the knowledge of the children. One of themethods that can be used in dental health education is storytelling. The purpose of this research isto know the difference of students tooth brushing behavior toward dental health education bystorytelling method at SDN 13 Parit Putus Agam Regency. Pre-experimental research design hadbeen used as the design of this research with one group pretest posttest design with threetreatments. The samples of this research were 20 people. It can be gotten from non-probabilitytechnique that was saturated sampling. The results of this research showed that the averagebehavior of tooth brushing students before being given dental health education trough storytellingmethod was 38.00. Meanwhile, after applying this method the average was around 45.15 with pvalue = 0.000. Of the three domains studied, the most significant change was knowledge, is aftertwo treatments, while the attitude domain on the third treatment and action domain had not showna very significant difference after three treatments. In conclusion, there is significant differencebetween tooth brushing behaviors on students before and after given dental health education bystorytelling method. It is suggested to health workers to apply this method in providing dentalhealth education to children in the school.Keywords : Storytelling, Brushing Behavior

Abstract

Tujuan jangka panjang dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk membentuk klon gambirtoleran cekaman kekeringan dan melakukan perluasan areal tanam dengan ekstensifikasidilahan kering, dengan demikian diharapkan dapat memenuhi permintaan akan gambiryang selalu meningkat. Target khusus dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui responembrio somatik tanaman gambir terhadap PEG, sehingga dapat diketahui kemampuantoleransi tanaman gambir terhadap kekeringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodeeksperimen dengan 5 perlakuan konsentrasi PEG yaitu 0%, 2,5%, 5%, 10% dan 20%.Data hasil percobaan yaitu respon embrio somatik terhadap beberapa konsentrasi PEGdan analisa kandungan prolin disajikan secara deskriptif dengan uji hipotesismenggunakan uji statistik atau uji t.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to produce Ludo Word Game (LWG) chemistryas a learning media in petroleum material of high school class XI was valid andpractical. The type of research was Research and Development (R&D) which used 4-Dmodels. This study examined the level of validity and practicality of the product. Datacollecting was done by validity and practicality questionnaires. Data analyzed by theCohen Kappa formula. Chemical LWG was validated by three Chemistry lecturers atFMIPA UNP and two chemistry teachers from SMAN 1 Gunung Talang. Thedetermination of the practicality level was carried out by two chemistry teachers atSMAN 1 Gunung Talang and 32 students in class XI MIPA 1 of SMAN 1 GunungTalang. From the data analysis, it was found that the chemical LWG as a media oflearning in petroleum material had a validity of 0.84 with a very high validity categoryand the practicality value of the teacher was 0.89 and the students were 0.92 with avery high practicality category. This data shows that the chemical LWG as a media oflearning was developed can be used for petroleum material in class XI SMA.Keywords: Chemical LWG, learning media, petroleum, research and development, 4-Dmodel.

Abstract

Thermochemistry is a topic which consists of abstract concepts that makes itharder to be understood by students. But students can understand it if they were guidedto build their knowledge by finding the concepts by themselves and putting student’ assubject of the study. An instructional learning model that can be used to learn this topicbased on it is characteristic is guided inquiry model. This study aims to develop a thermochemistrymodule based on inquiry integrated with experiments for senior highschool students’ and to determine validity and practicality category of the developedproduct. The research type was Research and Development (R&D) with 4-D model,which will resulted a specific product. 4-D model consists of four steps, Define, Design,Develop, and Disseminate. This study performed validity and practicality test only. Theinstrument were validity and practicality questionnaire. Data collecting technique weredisseminated the questionnaire and the analysis of the result were done using KappaCohen formula. Based on the analysis of the validity questionnaire, Kappa moment valueobtained was 0.81 which considered as very high and from the analysis of practicalitytest from teachers and students were 0.93 and 0.81 respectively. It can be concludedthat the developed thermochemistry module based on guided inquiry integrated withexperiments is valid and practice to used on a learning process.Keywords : guided inquiry, module, research and development, thermochemistry, 4-Dmodels
