Abstract

The application of learning model, methode, and the technique in every learning process would create the better atmosphere in classroom and students’ activity. One of the methods that could be used was Poster Comment Method. This method was used in Classrom Action Research with the subject was Science and the material was Environmental Change in grade IV SDN 012 Koto Kari. The purpose of this research was to represent how the learning result improved as the Poster Comment Method was applied in Science with the material was Environmental Change in grade IV SDN 012 Koto Kari. This research used four steps of Classroom Action Research; planning, proceeding, observing, and reflecting. One cycle consisted those four steps while the research was done in two cycles. The result showed in beginning data, there were only 9 students passed or 47%. After the treatment was given, in cycle 1 it showed that 15 students or 78% students passed, and finally in the second cycle the data increased to be 18 students or 95% students passed out of 18 students.

Abstract

This article discusses the structure of phrases in Indonesia food wrappers. Phrase structure is a functional arrangement contained in a speech.The food wrapping that was the object of this study was specifically only on Indonesian food wrappers. That is, food warppers that use foreign language are not examined. The main theory used to refer to the phrase structure in this study was the opinion expressed by Sulistyowati (2012) and other opinions. Based on the analysis conducted  on food wrappers using Indonesian, it can be concluded that the phrases structure in Indonesian food wrappers found is 1) 1) FN ---> N1 + N2 (biskuit kelapa), 2) FN ---> N + V (kacang goreng); 3) FN ---> N + Adj (sambal hijau), 4) FV ---> V + N (serbu durian); 5) FNum ---> Num + N (dua kelinci); dan 6) FAdj ---> Adj + N (setia kawan). Thus, it can be affirmed that the phrases structure in Indonesian language food wrappers is more dominant to use the FN structure (nominal phrase) than other structures.

Abstract

This study presents the corresponding problem of affix forming the nominal reduplication of Banjar Hulu language. Language Banjar is a language used by people of Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. Currently the state of Banjar Hulu is contaminated with modern culture and technology. Therefore, a deep review of Banjar Hulu is needed. As for the related issues related to the form of affix forming the nominal reduplication of Banjar Hulu. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain in detail about the form of affix forming of narial reduplication Banjar Hulu language. This research is manifold field research using descriptive method. Research data in the form of words spoken by informants, with data collection techniques simak libat cakap. Data validation is done by source triangulation with data analysis taking into account the form of origin and basic form. The result of this research is the finding of an affix of N-an morph which has alomorph pa-an, ba-an, ka-an, ta-an, sa-an, and sing-an.

Abstract

Reading is an activity to understand reading material effectively. Reading became the biggest problem for students these days. This is due to a lack of reading motivation and a lack of awareness of reading needs. Students more often open handpone applications rather than books. Such conditions affect the learning of reading courses for students in the first level. To create a more enjoyable reading activity, it needs to be utilized and combined with the blanded learning by using edmodo group application. Edmodo group is a social media as a means of liaison between students, teachers, and parents. Edmodo is also used as a learning electronic e-learning platform. This research is formulated by how is the utilization of blanded learning edmodo group in reading activity? The purpose of this research is to know the utilization of edmodo group in reading. This research is a kind of qualitative research with descriptive method of data presentation. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire which analyzing simple description percentage. The results of this study are providing a fun learning method, making the relationship of lecturers with students to be closer, facilitate communication between lecturers and students, learning can be done anytime, as a suggestion to share knowledge and knowledge with new people, and as a media completion of exercises, and quiz.

Abstract

Teaching and learning process was basically a communication process between teacher as courier of message while student as recipient. The message, delivered by the teacher, was actually the learning materials that had been changed into communication symbol, verbally and non verbally. Indonesian languange held the important role in students’ intelectual, sosial, and emotional development and also the supporting success in learning all subjects. The learning result could be seen from how many students could pass subjects’ minimum score. A low learning result in Indonesia languange subject should be a consideration for learning planner. To improve students learning result, teacher made enhancement. One of the methods could be used for enhancement was using comic in Indonesian language subject so it couold create a condusive condition. Conducive condition was a condition where students engaged to the learning process and they were active during teaching-learning process. Indonesian language comic was interesting for them especially the pictures on it. The most important thing that students (with the help of teacher) could construct knowledge and also got so many producers and they could solve the problem given. After the treatment was given, the learning result was satisfied where 18 out of 22 students (81,8%) passed, while the rest of them did not pass yet. The students who did not pass were the students with low ability and not really active in class.

Abstract

This research entitled "Pronouns Malay Language In Movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee". The problem of this research is how is the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee? The purpose of this research is to know and describe the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee. The theory used in this research is Alwi, et al (2003), theory Tadjuddin (2013), and theory Ramlan (1990). The approach used in this research is qualitative research, the type of research used in this research included into the research literature and the method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques of this research are: documentation techniques, references, and techniques of note. Technique of data analysis of this research is classified based on problem which researched in accordance with the object of research. The results indicate that in the movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee used the first single person pronouns [hambə], [bəta], and [pati?]. First person plural pronoun [kite]. Single person second pronoun [mikə]. General Pronouns [ni] and [tu].

Abstract

In some university students’ project papers, violations of  rules of Indonesian language grammar are still found. The ignorance to write a grammatically correct project paper on an ongoing basis will adversely affect the quality of the students' writing. A good project paper, both its content and language use provides an overview of the insights of the students. Students must equip their cognitives in order to be able to understand the concept of the language well. This becomes the basis of observation of violation of Indonesian  language rules in student's project papers of Universitas Riau through. The method used in this research is the qualitative descriptive method. The focus of observation is on the beginning parts of the project papers especially dealing. The research findings reveal that  some disobedience of rules of spelling and punctuation, namely: disobedience academic title, name of the self, shortening, preposition, word absorption, foreign word,  numbering, reduplication, separation marks, commas, and spaces.

Abstract

Low learning activity on Math in SDN 006 Pangkalan Indarung Kec. Kuantan Tengah Kab. Kuansing caused the low learning result, which meant the students could not pass the minimum score decided by the school. To improve Math learning activity and the result, Classroom Action Activity research was done by using PAKEM learning. This research was done in two cycles. Every cycle had two meetings with four steps of each meeting, there were planning, proceeding, observing, and reflecting. The data was analyzed by deciding the number and percentage of participated students in every meeting. The result showed that the learning activity and result improved where at the beginning data there were only 7 out of 32 students passed. After the treatment was done, in cycle I the learning result has significant improvement with 21 students (66%) passed, the mean score was 74,4 and in cycle II there were 28 students passed with the mean score was 89,7. In the end of cycle II, there were 30 students brave to ask, 29 students were active to find the learning material, 29 students were creative in giving the idea, 28 students finished the task in time, and 30 students showed their spirit of learning. So, it can be concluded that PAKEM approach can be used to improve students’ learning activity and the result.

Abstract

This study began with a preliminary study that found the learning outcomes of students in science learning was weak. This was due to teachers who only teach the concepts and theories to students, so that students were not active during learning. Science learning was a learning that aims to develop students' thinking skills to solving a problem. An appropriate learning model was needed to the goals in the science lesson could be achieved well. In this study proposed Learning Cycle 5E model as an alternative learning model that could be used to improve learning outcomes in science learning. Learning Cycle 5E model was a model consisting of 5 stages, which if each stage was implemented it could help achieve the learning objectives. This type of research was a Classroom Action Research that consists of two cycles and was carried out collaboratively between researchers and obsevers. Subjects in this study were teachers and students in V grade. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative data technique and quantitative data technique. The final result of research in each cycle had increased, both in terms of perencanaa, implementation and learning outcomes. Thus it could be concluded that the Learning Cycle 5E model helped to improve student learning outcomes in science learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describe the effect of the use of cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing on learning outcomes writing text exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang. The theory used in this study as follows. First, writing skills Text exposition. Second, cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing.Jenis This study was a quantitative research with experimental method. The research was one group pretest and posttest design. Total population of 137 students with a sample of 24 students. The sample in this research is class VII. 4 SMPN 4 Padang Panajng determined using purposive sampling technique. In this research there are two variables, namely (1) the writing skills of students Subtitles exposition before using cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing, and (2) the writing skills of students after the text exposition cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing. Instruments used in this research is to test the performance. This research data is the writing skills test score results Subtitles exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang before and after using cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing. The results of this study are based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) received the 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = (N_1 + n_2) -2 because thitung> t table (1.17> 1.98). In other words, the writing skills Text exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang after using cooperative learning model is better than the Dancing Bamboo writing skills Text exposition seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Padang Panjang before using cooperative learning model Bamboo Dancing.
