Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru Bahasa Inggris melaksanakan model pembelajaran Asesmen Otentik di SMA Negeri Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pelaksanaan model pembelajaran Asesmen Otentik di SMA Negeri Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua guru bahasa Inggris di SMA Kota Banda Aceh, sedangkan sample/subjek penelitian ini adalah tiga orang guru Bahasa Inggris dan lima orang siswa yang  dipilih dari tiga SMA di Kota Banda Aceh secara acak. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian  adalah dengan menggunakan lembar observasi pengamatan guru dan angket respon siswa. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan pengolahan data diperoleh hasil: (1) tingkat kemampuan guru Bahasa Inggirs SMA dalam melaksanakan model pembelajaran Asesmen Otentik di kota Banda Aceh termasuk kategori baik, (2) pada umumnya siswa SMA memberikan respon senang terhadap pelaksanaan model pembelajaran Asesmen Otentik di kota Banda Aceh. Kata Kunci: kemampuan guru, autentik asesmen, This study aimed to describe the ability of English teachers implement instructional model authentic assessment in high schools in Banda Aceh. The study also aims to determine the students response to the implementation of the teaching model in SMA Authentic Assessment of Banda Aceh. This research is descriptive-qualitative. The study population was all high school English teacher in the city of Banda Aceh, while the sample / subject of this research are three English teachers and five students were selected from three high schools in the city of Banda Aceh at random. Methods of data collection in this research is to use the observation sheet observation of teachers and students questionnaire responses. Data processing is done using descriptive statistics. Based on the obtained results of data processing: (1) the level of high school English cuisine English teachers ability to implement models of authentic assessment of learning in the city of Banda Aceh, including both categories, (2) high school students are generally happy to respond to the implementation of authentic assessment model of learning in the city of Banda Aceh. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi motivasi dan persepsi mahasiswa internasional dalam belajar bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa asing di Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek peneltian ini adalah sejumlah 30 mahasiswa asing yang belajar di UKM dengan menggunakan teknik purposif sampling. Untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menyebarkan angket/kuisioner kepada 30 subjek peneltian. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan persentase.  Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden menyatakan setuju dengan belajar bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa asing di universitas dimaksud. Hal ini dapat dilihat persentase yang diperoleh dimana 70% dari 30 responden menyatakan setuju bahasa Melayu dipelajari oleh mahasiswa asing di UKM. Mereka juga menyatakan bahwa dengan belajar bahasa Melayu dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam memahami literature yang ditulis dalam bahasa tersebut. Di samping itu, bahasa Melayu juga dianggap penting karena dengan menguasai bahasa tersebut akan mempermudah mereka untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang bagus di Negara Malaysia.  Berdasrkan temuan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi/persepsi mahasiswa asing dalam belajar bahasa Melayu sangat positif. Mereka merasa puas terhadap pelaksanaan bahasa Melayu dapat membantu mereka dalam belajar di Malaysia.   Kata Kunci: international students, Bahasa Melayu, motivation

Abstract

A teacher should know a lot of theories that can be applied in teaching and learning process either English or other subjects. The current theories nowadays used by teachers are behaviorist theory, nativist approaches, computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) theories, cybernetics and constructivism theories. The focus of this article is to elaborate cybernetics and constructivism theories. The aim of this article is to briefly describe the cybernetics and constructivism theories in teaching and learning which covers the definition of cybernetics and constructivism, principles of constructivism learning, the characteristics of constructivism learning and teaching, the role of teachers and students, the challenging of teachers in constructivism classroom. Abstract

This study presents the corresponding problem of affix forming the nominal reduplication of Banjar Hulu language. Language Banjar is a language used by people of Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. Currently the state of Banjar Hulu is contaminated with modern culture and technology. Therefore, a deep review of Banjar Hulu is needed. As for the related issues related to the form of affix forming the nominal reduplication of Banjar Hulu. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain in detail about the form of affix forming of narial reduplication Banjar Hulu language. This research is manifold field research using descriptive method. Research data in the form of words spoken by informants, with data collection techniques simak libat cakap. Data validation is done by source triangulation with data analysis taking into account the form of origin and basic form. The result of this research is the finding of an affix of N-an morph which has alomorph pa-an, ba-an, ka-an, ta-an, sa-an, and sing-an.

Abstract

Reading is an activity to understand reading material effectively. Reading became the biggest problem for students these days. This is due to a lack of reading motivation and a lack of awareness of reading needs. Students more often open handpone applications rather than books. Such conditions affect the learning of reading courses for students in the first level. To create a more enjoyable reading activity, it needs to be utilized and combined with the blanded learning by using edmodo group application. Edmodo group is a social media as a means of liaison between students, teachers, and parents. Edmodo is also used as a learning electronic e-learning platform. This research is formulated by how is the utilization of blanded learning edmodo group in reading activity? The purpose of this research is to know the utilization of edmodo group in reading. This research is a kind of qualitative research with descriptive method of data presentation. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire which analyzing simple description percentage. The results of this study are providing a fun learning method, making the relationship of lecturers with students to be closer, facilitate communication between lecturers and students, learning can be done anytime, as a suggestion to share knowledge and knowledge with new people, and as a media completion of exercises, and quiz.

Abstract

This research entitled "Pronouns Malay Language In Movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee". The problem of this research is how is the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee? The purpose of this research is to know and describe the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee. The theory used in this research is Alwi, et al (2003), theory Tadjuddin (2013), and theory Ramlan (1990). The approach used in this research is qualitative research, the type of research used in this research included into the research literature and the method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques of this research are: documentation techniques, references, and techniques of note. Technique of data analysis of this research is classified based on problem which researched in accordance with the object of research. The results indicate that in the movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee used the first single person pronouns [hambə], [bəta], and [pati?]. First person plural pronoun [kite]. Single person second pronoun [mikə]. General Pronouns [ni] and [tu].

Abstract

The basis of the emergence of this research is the lack of observers or language researchers who will arouse the local language khasanah, namely Banjar Hulu language. Upstream Banjar Language is a language used by the people of Suhada Village Enok District Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. The Banjar Hulu language is used as the majority language used by the people of Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. However, due to the flow of modernization and assimilation will threaten the extinction and contamination of the Banjar Hulu language. Therefore, this research is expected to maintain and maintain the authenticity of Banjar Hulu language, so it is necessary to do research. This study focuses on the structure of verb phrases. With related issues about the shape or structure of the verb phrase. The purpose of the study is to describe in detail the structure of the Banjar Hulu language verb phrase. This research is a field research with qualitative type. This research was conducted in Suhada Village, Enok Sub-district, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau with research time for six months. The method used to collect data is by the technique of referring libat ably. The data of this research is phrase construction that comes from the speech of research informant. Data analyzing is done by technique of reduction, disply, and conclusion data. The results showed that there are various verbal phrases. This kevariasian found verbal language phrases Banjar Hulu language based on the class of formers and verbal phrase forming function, namely coordinative verbal phrases, modifikatif, and apositif. The results of this study are the first structure of verbal phrases based on the word class; (v) Verbal Phrase {V + Ajk}, (c) Verbal Phrases {Adv + V}, (d) Verbal Phrases {V + Prepositions}, (e) ) Verbal Phrases {V; (ba- + N) + pronomina}, (f) Verbal Phrases {V; (b) + A}, (g) Verbal Phrases {V; (b + + N) + N}. The two structures of the verbal phrase are based on the function of the constituent elements, which include (a) Coordinative Verbal Phrases, (b) Modifikattive Verb Phrases, (c) Apositive Verb Phrases.

Abstract

This study focuses on the ability to write words in Malay Arabic script. This research problem is formulated about the ability to write two syllables and lebid from two syllables in Malay Arabic script. The purpose of the study is to describe in detail the ability to write Malay Arabic words and apply proper word-writing principles in Malay Arabic script. This research is a field research with quantitative type. This research was conducted in Language Education and Literature Program Indonesia FKIP Islamic University of Riau. The method used to collect data is by the test technique. The data of this research is the result of word writing skill test and applying correct wording principle in Malay Arabic script obtained from randomly taken sample of research. Analyzing data is done with the mean technique. The result of this research concludes that the ability of writing Arabic Malay words of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Islamic University of Riau is categorized with percentage of 71.72%. Furthermore, the ability to write Malay Arabic words of the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Studies Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Islamic University of Riau based on two syllables categorized with a percentage of 72.09% and based on the word syuku words more than two words low category ie 64.36% .

Abstract

This study presents a related problem about the compound verbs in the Banjar Hulu language. Banjar language is the language used by the people of Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. At present the state of the Banjar Hulu language is contaminated with modern culture and technology. Therefore, an in-depth study of the language of Banjar Hulu is needed. The problem that is examined is related to the form of the compound verb Banjar Hulu. The purpose of this study was to describe and explain in detail about the compound verbs in the Banjar Hulu language. This research is a type of field research using descriptive method. The research data is in the form of words spoken by the informant, with competent involvement data collection techniques. Data validation is done by triangulating the source by analyzing data regarding the original form and basic form. The results of this study are the discovery of the first basic compound verbs (a) basic compound verbs with the second noun component, (b) compound verbs with the first component adjectives, (c) basic compound verbs with the second component adjectives, (d) basic compound verbs with the first component adverb, (e) basic compound verb with both verb components. The two affiliated compound verbs; (a) affiliated compound verbs with the base of the components, (b) affixed compound verbs with the base of the free form, (c) affixed compound verbs with the two beraphyx components. The three compound verbs repeated.

Abstract

This study determined the impacts of the implementation of characters-based collaborative learning model on the students’ attitudes and achievement in the course of machining process. This experimental study was conducted in the fitting and machining workshop at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. The population consisted of the students who were taking the course of Complex Machining Process totaling 85 students. The samples included 33 students who were determined by purposive sampling technique. The experiment was carried out by the posttest-only control design. The instrument validation was conducted by expert judgment. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis and t-test with significance level of 0.05. The results revealed that: (1) the attitude of the students in the model class was better than the conventional class, and (2) the students of the model class performed better achievement in the course of Machining Process.
