Significant value of MUAC 0.0005 (p <0.05) and significant value of Hb 0.0005 (p <0.05). This study shows that MUAC and Hb are determinant predictor of weight infants. Therefore it is necessary for the promotion of research results that can be followed by monitoring nutrient intake and nutritional status in pregnant women.

Body Mass Index (BMI), Waist Circumference (WC) and Waist to Hip Ratio (WHR) were obtained, Chi Square Test or Fisher Exact Test was used to bivariate analitytic with α = 0,05. The Odds Ratio (OR) was calculated to predict the risk of each obesity indicator to hypertension. This study showed that BMI was significantly related with essensial hypertension in bivariate analysis (OR=3,1). The nonsignificant correlation (p > 0,05) identified for Waist Circumference and Waist Hip Ratio. Obesity indicator related to essential hypertension of patients at Sungkai Public Health Center in Banjar District was BMI

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of insecticide-treated nets on anemia and birth outcome in vivax malaria-endemic areas. This study uses a retrospective cohort analysis design with a sample of 138 people. Subjects were divided two groups: the group that during pregnancy using insecticide-treated nets (n = 69) and those who do not use insecticide-treated nets (n = 69). Hemoglobin level examination conducted in the laboratory clinic, gestational age calculated from LMP mother, birth weight using the recording of documentation by a midwife birth helper. The use of insecticide-treated nets on anemia associated with the negative correlation at the level of mild correlation (p = 0.003, OR 95% CI = 3.31, r = -0505). The use of insecticide-treated nets against preterm labor associated with the negative correlation at the level of a weak correlation (p = 0015. OR 95% CI = 4.14, r = -0207), whereas the variable abortion, low birth weight and IUFD there were no significant differences. Increased risk of anemia and 3:31 times greater risk of preterm delivery increased 4:14 times larger than the group of pregnant women using insecticide-treated nets. Conclusions of this study is the use of insecticide treated bed nets during pregnancy can reduce the risk of anemia and premature labor in pregnant women in vivax malaria-endemic areas

Chlorine is a substance used in the paper industry serves as a bleach and disinfectant. unconsciously, the longer brewing of tea cause the chlorine contained in the paper tea bags will also be dissolved. This study aims to determine the temperature and the effective time for brewing the tea bag so that the chlorine content of tea steeping water at low concentrations. This type of research is a quasi experimental laboratory. The study population was all the tea bags, measuring 2 grams. The number of samples used 27 tea bags, divided into 9 treatments and 3 replications. The results of statistical tests indicate there is a difference levels of chlorine between the temperature variation and brewed time. LSD test at 5% there are differences in average levels of chlorine in the treatment of A1B1 and A1B2 to A1B3, A2B1 and A2B3 and A3B1 a2b2 on and A3B2 to A3B3. Low levels of chlorine in the treatment of A1B1 Yaitu suhu 60 c dalam waktu 3 menit (0004 ppm) and the highest levels of chlorine in the treatment of A3B3 Yaitu suhu 100 C dalam waktu 7 menit (0013 ppm).
