Abstract

This study aimed to develop and produce devices PMR mathematics learning approach aided interactive CD on the material linear equations class VII are valid and effective. The result of the development of mathematics learning with PMR approach on the material linear equations of one variable of class VII shows the validation results of the experts. Implementation field learning device that has generated valid and effective tool with active variable and process skills, reaching thoroughly studied, the effect of active variable and process skills to the learning outcomes and no difference between the control group and the implementation class. Once implemented obtained that result is students achieve a complete study with KKM = 65 gained 79.8 completeness. There is an active variable and process skills influence on the process of student learning outcomes by 79.3%. There are differences between the control group (66.7) and the implementation class (78.0). It concluded that the study of mathematics by PMR approach aided interactive CD on material class VII PLSV valid and effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the increase of student’s mathematical problem solving competence through the implementation of Osborn Learning Model, as well as compare it with the student who earned conventional learning. In addition, the purpose of this research is to find out the increase of mathematical problem solving competence on a group of student with high, middle, and low capability. The next purpose is to find out the attitude of the students against the osborn learning model. Methods used in this research is quasi Experimenter Method with pretest and post-test Marginalized Control Design. Population on this research are all of students of VIII grades in SMPN 1 Bandung. Samples on this research are two classes of VIII grades, one class as Experimental Class and the other one as control class. Research data obtained through the test of student’s mathematical problem solving competence, questionnaire, and observation sheets. The result of this research shows that the increasing of student’s mathematical problem solving competence with Osborn Learning Model better than the increasing of student’s mathematical problem solving competence with conventional learning. There are differences in the increasing competence on the groups of high capability, middle capability and low capability in osborn class and conventional class. In general, the students give a positive attitude against Osborn Learning Model.

Abstract

This research was conducted in one of junior high school in Tangerang academic year 2015/2016. Aimed to analyze the effect of CPS model on the students’ mathematical adaptive reasoning skills. The method used in this study was a quasi experimental method with randomized posttest only control group design. Samples were obtained as many as two classes by cluster random sampling technique. Based on result of hypothesis this show that students’ mathematical adaptive reasoning skills who were taught by creative problem solving model was higher than the students’mathematical adaptive reasoning skills of those who were taught by conventional model

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is influence students' interest in learning and talent of the student learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative survey with correlation techniques. This research was conducted at SMPN 18 Tangerang, the study population was as many as 250 students of class VII and sample as many as 153 students. Instruments in this study tests and questionnaires or questionnaire. Of multiple correlation analysis obtained t count = 23.208> t table = 3.06 for the 5% significance level and regression analysis obtained, which means the interest in learning, gifted students and learning outcomes have a significant relationship and shows that interest in learning and talent students are influential the results of students' mathematics learning.

Abstract

This paper is the research and development result of Statistics teaching materials based on ICT. The method used is the early stage of research and development that applied on the second phase of the study. The first stage is analysis the teaching materials through the study of literature; developing initial products; experts team validation; and first revised. The second phase is limited test to 13 students randomly selected that participated in the course Statistics on Mathematics Education Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi, and do the second revised. The method used in the second stage is a single experiment one shot case study. The instrument used in this study are validation sheet, teaching materials performance and effectiveness sheet, and conceptual understanding test. These data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test on the level of α = 5%. The results showed that average score of teaching materials validation is 4.50 out of This result indicates that more than 80% of ICT based teaching materials developed is feasible to use (valid) and classified as very well category. Based on trial results, conceptual understanding ability of students after using ICT based teaching materials significantly better than before using ICT based teaching materials. In addition, an overall assessment of performance effectiveness of ICT based teaching material reached 62.98% higher than the learning without ICT based teaching materials, which only reached 60.58%. These results indicate that using ICT based teaching materials in learning has the valid, practical, and effective criteria, particularly in an effort to develop the students’ conceptual understanding ability.
