Abstract

Speaking skill is one of language skills wich has an important role in life. By means os speaking skill, someone could communicate to give information, give knowledge to others. The background of this research is the low rate of speaking skill of the fourth grade students of Elementary School number 8 Padang Besi Padang. It’s because the learning of speaking skill did not get an equal portion compared to other skills such as reading and writing. Beside of that, the learning of speaking skill did not use a media wich could stimulate students imagination to arrange and deliver their ideas orally. This Class Action Research is done in two cycles. Every cycle consist of speaking teaching plan, proses of teaching speaking, and teaching speaking’s evaluation. The finding of the research shows that picture media can improve the speaking skill of the fourth grade students in Elementary School number 8 Padang Besi Padang. So, it is suggested to use picture media in teaching speaking.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the difficulties experienced by students out of School Education ( PLS ) in the thesis . The purpose of this study is to describe the difficulties student writing his thesis in terms of aspects : ( 1 ) the guidance given faculty , ( 2 ) an understanding of research methodology course material , ( 3 ) writing research reports , and ( 4 ) the availability of facilities such as a book source This research is a descriptive study ekspost facto , which examined according to what the problems are experienced students while now . Population and once gus as the samples of this study were students who were writing his thesis on half July- December 2011. Data collection techniques and tools are questionnaires are questionnaires guidelines . Descriptive data were processed by a percentage formula . The study's findings describe : ( 1 ) students sometimes have difficulty writing his thesis in terms of faculty guidance , ( 2 ) students always have trouble writing his thesis in terms of understanding the course material research methodology , ( 3 ) students sometimes have difficulty writing his thesis on aspects writing research reports , and ( 4 ) students always have trouble writing his thesis in terms of aspects of the availability of facilities , especially the difficulty in understanding the sources of books in foreign languages ​​. Suggestions in this study so that students can increase their motivation to better understand the material research methodology , and the ability to understand the sources of books in foreign languages.

Abstract

In the process of learning social studies teachers should provide opportunities for students to participate, collaboration, critical thinking, activities, in finding and solving problems ditemuinyai. It can be given by the teacher through various problems in IPS. It is more appropriate to find and solve problems in pemebelajaran IPS is to use the model of Problem Solving. The problem in this case is, 1) the teacher presents material exposure to verbal and IPS interview, in which teachers rarely provide opportunities for students to find and solve the problems contained in IPS.2 learning) students' mastery of subject matter IPS less condition this resulted in lower student learning outcomes. Peneitian goal is to improve the learning process of social studies and student learning outcomes. This type of research is a classroom action research, with qualitative and quantitative approaches. as much as 2 cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang dilakukan di negara kita adalah untuk membentuk suatu kepribadian yang luhur, menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai agama dan moral, dan memiliki sikap kreatif dan mandiri yang mampu menunjukkan kekhasan dari budaya bangsa kita Indonesia. Kepribadian yang luhur itulah yang dimaksudkan dengan pendidikan karakter. Karakter adalah seperangkat sifat-sifat yang dikagumi sebagai tanda-tanda kebijakan, kebaikan dan kematangan moral”, artinya seseorang yang memiliki karakter yang baik akan selalu berprilaku baik, menyenangkan, bersikap bijaksana dalam mengambil suatu keputusan yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Pendidikan karakter dimulai dari pendidikan anak usia dini .Melalui strategi mendongeng legenda Ide cerita yang ditampilkan adalah cerita rakyat Minangkabau, yang dikisahkan di ”Bukik Batanjua Nagari Sungai Janiah kecamatan Baso, yaitu Legenda Ikan Sakti”, yang mengisahkan tentang anak yang tidak mendengar nasehat orang tua, dan tidak mengabaikan perintah Allah akhirnya berakibat fatal, sehingga si anak berubah menjadi Ikan di Sungai Sungai Janiah Baso, digunakan untuk pembelajaran karakter anak usia dini. Melalui penelitian action recearh dengan menggunakan media boneka, pembelajaran karakter dilakukan sehingga dapat di implementasikan pendidikan karakter dalam rangka meningkatkan kecerdasan ganda anak usia dini yang berkarakter.
