Abstract

This study aims to find out how the management of Lemo beach is based on the current conditions and to determine the appropriate development strategy in the management of Lemo beach tourism, as a marine tourism destination in East Luwu. The research method is descriptive and quantitative. The types of research are field observations, questionnaires and literature studies, techniques and data collection instruments using observation techniques, questionnaires, literature and documentation and data analysis techniques using descriptive techniques and using SWOT analysis. namely visitors or tourists who are used as a source of information needed in research, while the object of research is Lemo Beach as a marine tourism destination. The results showed that from the SWOT Analysis, which uses the EFE Matrix, the IFE Matrix and SWOT Matrix external factors with the highest scores that affect the development of tourist objects are opportunity factors namely the chance of high tourist interest so Lemo beach can be a beautiful tourist spot, while the highest threat is negative impact of tourism. Internal factors with the highest score are strength factors, namely natural potential that supports tourism activities, cool and beautiful air, while the weakness factor is lack of awareness of the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the design of onion slicer to facilitate farmers in handling post-harvest, and can also function as a tool that can be used by small businesses, especially fried onion business. The form of this research is the design of tools. The design of shallot slicer through several mechanisms including the manufacture of tool support, installation of material components such as hopper, pulley, v-belt, knife, and bearing. The research data was obtained from the results of testing tools by testing simple tools, design tools with 2 knives and also by designing using 4 knives, this tool uses an electric motor as a driving force to replace human power. Data analysis techniques are carried out quantitatively with statistics. The results of this study indicate that the design of tools with 2 and 4 knives has not run optimally.

Abstract

This research aims to determine of the effect of swallow nest-washing by lime to its quality. This research is experiment research using completely randomized design (CRD) with washing concentration of water and limes are 2%, 4%, and 6%. Observed parameters are nitrite, ammonia, total plate count, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella sp. The results show the best treatment of swallow nest-washing is obtained from lime-washing 6% with nitrite of 0.046 ppm, ammonia of 0.048 ppm, and total plate count of 2.39 Log cfu/g, also E. coli and Salmonella sp are negative

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mechanism and effect of drying corn kernels using a grain dryer (Tray Dryer). This research is a type of experiment research consisting of 2 variables. Variable A is temperature with 3 variable levels (60 ° C, 65 ° C, 70 ° C) and variable B is drying time with 3 variable levels (3 hours, 4 hours and 5 hours). The research sample is corn seed off harvest with an initial water content of 21.1% dried using a rack-shaped dryer (Tray dryer). To find out the temperature changes that occur, the drying process is measured by the temperature of the drying chamber and the temperature of corn kernels using a thermometer. Before and after drying the water content was measured to determine the changes in corn seed moisture content of each treatment used. The results showed that the higher the temperature and the length of the drying process will cause the drying rate to be faster and the decrease in water content will be smaller or slower.

Abstract

Business continuity that provides a home meal especially palekko menu can not be predicted so that business owners are required to develop appropriate strategies to develop the quality of the product in maintaining their business. This study aims to determine the strategy for developing the culinary quality of palekko ducks in Sidenreng Rappang Regency using SWOT analysis. The results of the matrix show the strategies that can be applied by the business owner is to open a business branch, promote, maintain and improve the quality of products, services, and HR by compiling a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), working with suppliers with a work contract system to ensure availability of materials raw.

Abstract

Feed in the cultivation of catfish become the main factor affect the success of cultivation. This study aims to reveal and survival of nursery thorugh adding leaf cassava dust to feed. This study uses a T test (one sample T test) to compare treatments with the provision of organic feed and commercial feed consisting of 3 replications. The dose of feeding is 3% of the weight of the fish for 30 days of maintenance with the frequency of feeding twice a day. Parameters observed included weight growth and survival as well as temperature, pH, DO and NH3 of catfish. The results showed that the provision of organic feed in the African catfish nursery did not have an effect on the parameters of weight growth and survival. Overall treatment of feed with the addition of cassava leaf flour supports catfish growth which can be seen in the growth of catfish weight which increases during maintenance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to to determine the lead contamination and water quality in Tallo River by comparing it with standards quality of waters, to obtain information and data on the effect of industrial waste on the level of lead pollution (Pb) in the watersTallo River, and to analysis the effect of lead on water quality (temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen) in Tallo River. This research was a descriptive study using a survey method. The study was conducted by taking samples of water, soil, and fish at three different stations, namely at the Tello Bridge area, at the area around the section of the Toll Bridge and at the Port of Paotere. The results of this study indicated that lead (Pb) pollution in water, fish and soil, were still below the threshold value. This indicated that water, fish and the land of the Tallo River were still in good condition. Tallo River water quality (temperature, pH and DO), according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001, was categorized in the class 3 water criteria. Industrial waste on the Tallo River to Paotere Port had affected the concentration of lead in water, fish and land but has not exceeded the normal threshold. The results of linear regression test showed that effect of lead (Pb) on water temperature only 36% and the remaining 64% determined by other factors (R2= 0,3627), meaning that lead (Pb) in the Tallo River had less effect on temperature. Lead (Pb) in the Tallo River had less effect on DO parameters (R2= 0,4417). According to analysis, lead (Pb) in the Tallo River had high effect on pH parameters (R2= 0,9048).

Abstract

This study aims to modify the grain sorting tool and test the working capacity of the tool. The method of this research is design research, the results of the study were processed using quantitative data analysis techniques with descriptive statistics. The trial in this study is only limited to the tool test, so the data obtained is presented in the form of a table from the results of the trial. The design of grain sorting equipment through several mechanisms including frame making, hopper, sieve, filled grain channel, casing installation, and other components. The grain sorting tool can work ergonomically according to the design and the average capacity is 199.51 kg / hour

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of adding stevia leaves to the production of the crown god fruit tea produced and to find out the reception of the panelists on the produced crown god fruit tea. This study used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) method with 6 levels of treatment (Fruit crown god: Stevia leaves), namely 5: 1, 5: 2, 5: 3, 5: 4, 5: 5. The first stage is the red crown of the fruit which is sorted and then washed thoroughly. The second stage of the flesh of the god's crown is then thinly sliced and then dried. The third stage is added dry stevia leaves with various concentrations namely 1 g, 2 g, 3 g, 4 g, and 5 g. The last stage is the dried crown god fruit that has been added to the stevia leaf, brewed with 200 ml of hot water, then stirred evenly. The parameters observed were the antioxidant, polyphenol, and sugar levels. The data analysis technique used in this study was variance analysis which was then processed using SPSS version 22. The results showed that the treatment of adding stevia leaves to the antioxidant, polyphenol and total sugar levels in the treatment of the crown god fruit: Stevia leaves (5: 5) is the best treatment with an antioxidant value of 90.73%, polyphenols 0.6128 mg / ml, and total sugar content of 1.42%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of agricultural extension workers in increasing the income of hybrid corn farmers in the city of Parepare. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The number of respondents is 100 people from the total number of hybrid corn farmers in this region. The results obtained based on two indicators of efficiency, it is known that agricultural extension agents play an effective role in increasing the production and income of respondents.
