Abstract

This research aims to know and identify the institutional conditions are available and knowing the strategies of the community in case of institutional infrastructure limitations in the development of farming seaweed. The type of the data being used is the primary data and secondary data. Data analysis using the method of analyses tabulations and descriptive and analysis Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results showed that (1) the availability of the institutional in the development of farming seaweed consisting of capital providers, information providers, and the institutions of providing inputs. The institution that provides capital in the development of seaweed farming in Kawite Wite Villagenamely collecting merchants. Institutions that provide information namely collecting merchants and extension officers, and institutional agencies providing input namely collecting merchants. The priority of the strategy can be done by farmers who do the farming of seaweed in Kawite Wite Village, Kabawo Subdistrict Muna Regency is a strategy 1 (one), namely the Human Resource training and development strategy for farmers worth 12.096. While on strategy 2 (two) as a strategy to optimize the results of production worth 11.311 and strategy 3 (three), namely expanding network marketing strategy valued at 10.685.

Abstract

The study aims to assess the amount of Copra income, the total income of Farmers and compare the total income with the provincial minimum (UMP) in Southeast Sulawesi, the contribution of the copra business to the farmers based on the pattern of farming in an effort. The problem faced by farmers in processing coconut into copra. This research is executed on the month of November 2016 – May 2017. Sample research conducted by random sampling with population amounted about 143 peoples in this research sampling amounted to 36 respondent data analysis using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the average income of copra business respondent was Rp 580.385 of the month. Revenue in the village of Munse Indah is higher than the minimum wage of Southeast Sulawesi Province of Rp 2.002.065. The contribution of the copra business to the total income of the farmers based on the pattern of farming in the effort, the pattern of farming (coconut, cashew, cloves, rice fields and nutmeg) gave the highest contribution of 49,05% with the medium criteria than on the pattern of farming (coconut, cashew, cloves, rice fields and nutmeg) gave the lowest contribution about 22,68% with the lowest criteria. The problems faced by farmers in processing coconut into copra there are three things, namely lack of climber, lack op owned capital and access road damaged in the rainy season.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of farmer groups in lowland rice farming in Belatu Village, Pondidaha District, Konawe Regency. This research was conducted in November 2016-March 2017. Determination of the sample using cluster random sampling is by taking 25% of the population so that the number of samples is 27 people. Analysis of the data used is the interval formula. The results showed that the role of farmer groups in wetland farming in Belatu Village, Pondidaha District, Konawe District was dominantly in the medium category. then the role of farmer groups as the dominant learning class is in the high category. While the role of farmer groups as a vehicle for cooperation and dominant production units is in a low category.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the availability of Tools and Infrastructure facilities in BP3K Unaaha Subdistrict Konawe Regency, to know the performance of Agricultural Extension Workers in BP3K Unaaha Subdistrict Konawe Regency, and to know the relation of the availability of Tools and Infrastructure facilities With the performance of agricultural field extension workers in BP3K Unaaha Subdistrict of Konawe Regency. The research variables are extension Tools and Infrastructure (demonstration plots, equipment, and accessories for demonstration, transportation facilities, and availability of agricultural experiment results in the office) and performance of extension workers (working visit, work program, activity reporting, discipline). This research was conducted in Unaaha Subdistrict of Konawe Regency from February to April 2017. Respondents in this study were 8 people taken by the census, Data analysis of the availability of Tools and Infrastructure facilities and extension performance of field farmers using percentage, while to know the relationship of the availability of Tools and Infrastructure facilities extension And field agriculture extension performance used Rank Rank Correlation analysis or Spearman Rank Correlation. The result of the research shows that the availability of Tools and Infrastructure facilities was very available and the performance of agricultural field extension in Unaaha District was classified as a high category. The performance includes frequent working visits to the target area, always creating work programs, and always making monthly activity reports. Transportation variables have a significant relationship with the performance of agricultural field extension, demonstration plot, props, tool variables, and research results have a non-significant relationship with the performance of agricultural field extension workers in BP3K Kecamatan Unaaha Konawe District.

Abstract

This research aims to know what the existence of Subak institution after conversions of land to a pepper plantation, how the Subak institutional function on rainfed lowland and pepper plantations. In Mowila subdistrict, Konawe Selatan district. This research was conducted in 2017 December until 2018 March. The research is qualitative by using case study approach at Subak One institution who was in Mowila Subdistrict, Konawe Selatan District. The result pointed out that the existence of Subak One institution in Mowila Subdistric still exists, the function of Subak Tri Hita Karana on rainfed rice fields that Parahyangan activity of mapagtoyo, mewiwit, ngaci, mesabe, odalan, ulun carik, the consep of tek-tek and pelampias. Pawongan with community self-help, contribution, Subak meeting, pararem and Subak coordination with government and palemahan with terraced rice field and labo. While the function of Tri Hita Karana on pepper plantation land that was. Parahyangan with odalan, ulun carik, purnma nyilem, and the ceremony moved the rice fields. Pawongan with coordination of farmers to Subak and tradition nyumbang and palemahan was characterized by two-meter land for a sacred building. The existence of Subak institution in rainfed lowland area in Tri Hita Karana activity was more complex, while the Tri Hita Karana activity on pepper plantations was simpler.
