Abstract

Learning models Two Stay Two Stray is the one of a wide range of cooperative learning that expected to provide a new atmosphere for students to improve student achievement and enhance learning activities in the biological activity in particular. The purpose of this study is to analyze student achievement XB class sub concept of environmental pollution in SMA Plus AL-HASAN with the implementation of Two Stay Two Stray learning model and analyze the activities of students during the learning model biology lesson with Two Stay Two Stray sub concept of environmental pollution. The research was conducted in SMA Plus AL-HASAN Panti - Jember on the XB-class standards of competence and basic competences 4 and 4.2. Respondents who studied a total of 39 people. The method that used is Classroom Action Research. Analysys data using Description of Quantitative and One Sample T-test with SPSS 11.5 program. The results obtained in mind that the application of Learning Model Two Stay Two Stray can improve student achievement school class XB SMA Plus AL-HASAN is characterized by the difference between treatments is very significant (P = 0.00, P <0.05). As for the learning activities of students in biology has increased following the good.Key words: learning models, Two Stay Two Stray, school performance, student activities

Abstract

As previously described, the research problems can be formulated as follows: (1) how does the implementation of VCT to improve the students’ civic (PKn) learning achievement at class VI SDN Kemiri 01 PantiJember in the even semester of the academic year 2012/2013?; and (2) Is the implementation of VCT able to improve the students’ civic (PKn) learning achievement at class VI SDN Kemiri 01 PantiJember in the even semester of the academic year 2012/2013?.  In accordance with those research problems, this research is aimed at (1) to describe how the implementation of VCT to improve the students’ civic (PKn) learning achievement at class VI SDN Kemiri 01 PantiJember in the even semester of the academic year 2012/2013 is, and (2) know how the students’ civic (PKn) learning achievement is improved using VCT. The research design used was classroom action research. The subjects were the sixth grader students of SDN Kemiri 01 PantiJember. The instruments used to collect data are observation, interview,and questionnaires for students.Descriptive qualitative is employed to analyze the data. The research findings show that it is through the implementation of ASSURE learning model the students’ motivation and learning outcomes in civic education (PKn) for the fourth grader (IV-B) of SDN Jenggawah 01 in odd semester in the academic year 2012/2013 has significantly increased.Keywords : VCT learning model, learning achievement.

Abstract

In accordance with the previous background of the study, some research problems can be formulated as follows: (1) How is the implementation of using cooperative learning through the model of student-to-student exchange to enhance the students’ achievement inBahasa Indonesia at the students of class IV A SDN Jenggawah 01 Jember in academic year 2012/2013?; (2) Can and to what extent cooperative learning through the model of student-to-student exchange enhance the students’ achievement inBahasa Indonesia at the students of class IV A SDN Jenggawah 01 Jember in academic year 2012/2013?Whereas, this study carried out to meet the following objectives: (1) To know how the implementation of cooperative learning through the model of student-to-student exchange to enhance the students’ achievement inBahasa Indonesia at the students of class IV A SDN Jenggawah 01 Jember in academic year 2012/2013 is, and (2) to describe whether or not and to what extent the implementation of cooperative learning through the model of student-to-student exchange enhance the students’ achievement inBahasa Indonesia at the students of class IV A SDN Jenggawah 01 Jember in academic year 2012/2013.The research findings show that the students’ achievement of Bahasa Indonesia has significantly increased through the implementation of cooperative learning by the model of studentto-student exchange. Abstract

Based on the previous description, the research problems emerged: (1) How does the implementation of ASSURE learning model to Increase the Students’ Motivation and Learning Outcome in learning civic education (PKn) for the students of class IV-B SDN Jenggawah 01 in odd semester in the academic year 2012/2013?; and (2) Is the implementation of ASSURE learning model able to increase the Students’ Motivation and Learning Outcome in learning civic education (PKn) for the students of class IV-B SDN Jenggawah 01 in odd semester in the academic year 2012/2013?.  This study aims to (1) Describe  the implementation of ASSURE learning model to Increase the Students’ Motivation and Learning Outcome in learning civic education (PKn) for the students of class IV-B SDN Jenggawah 01 in odd semester in the academic year 2012/2013; and (2) find out the implementation of ASSURE learning model can increase the Students’ Motivation and Learning Outcome in learning civic education (PKn) for the students of class IV-B SDN Jenggawah 01 in odd semester in the academic year 2012/2013. This researcher conducted a classroom action research (CAR). The subject of this study is the fourth grader students of SDN Jenggawah 01. Observation, interview, test, and questioner are the methods in collecting the data. Descriptive qualitative is employed to analyze the data.  The research findings show that it is through the implementation of ASSURE learning model the students’ motivation and learning outcomes in civic education (PKn) for the fourth grader (IV-B) of SDN Jenggawah 01 in odd semester in the academic year 2012/2013 has significantly increased.Keywords:ASSURE learning model, motivation, learning outcome.

Abstract

As previously described, the research problems in this study can be formulated as follows: (1)Is the implementation of the method of administration tasks on the learning of PAIfor the students of SDN Jenggawah 07, odd semester of academic year 2012/2013, able to improve the learning activities and students’ outcomes?; and (2) How does the implementation of the method of administration task on the learning of PAI for the students of SDN Jenggawah 07, odd semester of academic year 2012/2013, improve the learning activities and students’ outcomes? In accordance with those research problems, this study thus aims to: (1) Describe the learning activity and students’ outcomes increased by using the method of administrationtasks on thelearning of PAI for the students of SDN Jenggawah 07, odd semester of academic year 2012/2013; and (2) Describe the implementation of the method of administration task on the learning of PAI for the students of SDN Jenggawah 07, odd semester of academic year 2012/2013; improve the students’ learning activities and outcomes.  The researcherhas conducteda clasroom actionresearch (CAR). The subject of this study is the fourth grader students of SDN Jenggawah 07. Method of collecting tyhe data in this study are observation, test, interview, and questionnaire. Descriptive qualitative is employed to analyze the data.  The research findings show: (1) the students’ main score of pretest was 63, (2) the students’ main score of cycle I was 78, (3) the students’ main score of cycle II was 100.Keywords: Learning activities, Learning outcomes, Administrative task method, PAI.

Abstract

There are so many problems that can be encountered by graphtechnique,  especially in the realm of information technology (IT). One of the problems is to compute aMinimum Spanning Tree (MST). By using this kind of technique, it will be obtained a range of connected lines with its merits; e.g., the  spanning tree  of minimum cost, the  least weight, and so on. There are  commonly two algorithms to find minimum spanning tree  (MST) namely Prim’s algorithm and Kruskal’s algorithm. This research aims to examine whether  or not Prim’s algorithm and Kruskal’s algorithm can be used to calculate minimum spanning tree (MST) of a connected weighted graph, to know more about the approximate time to compute minimum spanning tree (MST) of a connected weighted graph through the implementation  of Prim’s algorithm and Kruskal’s algorithm, and to find out which one of these two algorithms work best to calculate minimum spanning tree (MST) of a connected weighted graph. The development  of software  application in calculating MST using Prim’s algorithm and Kruskal’s algorithm is operated  by Windows 7, the so-called Free Pascal Program, which includes the steps of observing  and  data  gathering,  the  installation of the  program,  designing graph  model that  the weights are in accordance with the data gathered  by Free Pascal Program, simulating the model of MST weighted graph through Prim’s algorithm and Kruskal’s algorithm by using Free Pascal Program to calculate the longest edge, the order of MST, computation  time, and, lastly, to test and conclude the test result.  The data simulation uses the data of PDAM pipeline “PerumnasPatrangJember”.  The result shows that MST program used perfectly proved that Prim’s algorithm and Kruskal’s algorithm can be implemented to calculate the minimum spanning tree (MST) of a connected weighted graph. The MST program usedcan also simulate and calculate the length of the MST weighted graph through the  implementation  of Prim’s algorithm and Kruskal’s algorithm.Based on the  test  result, the  run time of Kruskal’s algorithm is shorter and/or  faster than the Prim’s algorithm to calculate a various MST weighted graph. Keywords: Simulation, Minimum Spanning  Tree (MST), Prim’s algorithm, Kruskal’s algorithm, Free Pascal

Abstract

Based on the preliminary study conducted by the researcher, the fourth grade students at SDN Jenggawah 01 are lack of motivation so that it badly affects on their learning outcome. To copewith this problem, a teacher can use wide variety strategies to motivate his/her students to behigh-motivated person and advance their learning outcome. Discussion is one of strategies that can be used to deal with this. This study is therefore devoted to investigate of how discussion technique can be implemented to motivate them and advance their learning outcome.It is aimed at the main purpose:how to develop and implement practical and effective model of teaching and learning to the sixth graders in SDN Jenggawah 01 with discussion technique to increase their motivation andand advance their learning outcome of introducing the attributes of Allah.  The classroom action research was chosen as the research design in this study. It was undertaken two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages namely planning, implementing/acting, observing, and revising/reflecting. The subject of this research is the students of class IV B of SDN Jenggawah 01, in academic year 2012/2013. The data are collected in the form of qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data are obtained from observation during the teaching-learning process about the whole activities and students’ behavior. The latter are obtained from the test.  The findings of the research show that discussion can be used as an effective model of teaching and learning having positive effects in increasing students’ motivation and to advance their learning outcome. This can be shown from by the increase of criteria of the action success, from 68,4% (cycle 1) to 100% (cycle 2).Keywords:  Motivation, Learning outcome, Islamic education, Discussion technique.

Abstract

In order to be self-independet  learners  students  are highly required  to learn (Dimyati & Mudjiono, 2009: 5). According to Skiner (in Dimyati & MUdjiono, 2009: 9) learning is a behavior.  He  adds  that  when  students   are  learning  something,  they  will  get  better response.  On the other hand, their response  will decrease  when they are not learning. In accordance with the previous illustration, the researchers  conducted  abservation  in SD Al Muttaqien  Boarding School  Kaliwates. The result  of  the  observation  about  students’ solidarity suggest  tha  it is between  55% -64%. This study aimed  an investigating the  e increase  of students’  solidarity through  the  implementation  of the  group guidance. The researcher  employs classroom action research (CAR) as a research method. It includes two cycles. The results of this study on cycle I suggest 80 % and on cycle 2 85 %. Based on the result of questionaire, the highest score for the “yes” answer is 23 or 92%. Further, for the “No” answer the result is 8 or 32%. Based on the previous result, it can perfectly prove that the students’ solidarity can be signivicantly improved through the implementation  of this method. Keywords: Students’ solidarity, the group guidance

Abstract

In accordance with the previous information, a few research problems emerged:  (1) how is the implementation of using cooperative, contextual, and sorogan (KKS) shadow-based in enhancing students understanding of Trigonometry concept?; and (2) how can cooperative, contextual, and sorogan (KKS) shadow-based enhance the students of class X of SMA 02 Diponegoro Wuluhan Jember in understanding Trigonometry concept?. Moreover, the aimsof this study are: (1) to describe how the implementation of using cooperative, contextual, and sorogan (KKS) shadow-based in enhancing students understanding of  Trigonometry concept; and (2) how  cooperative, contextual, and sorogan (KKS) shadow-based can enhance the students of class X of SMA 02 DiponegoroWuluhanJember in understanding Trigonometry concept. In conducting this research, the researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) as research method. The data analysis started when gathering the all required data intensively. The process of data analysis is based on the steps of data analysis as employed in qualitative inquiry; (1) data reduction, (2) presenting the data, and (3) data verification. The findings are: (a) the teacher delivered the material, the concept of Trygonometry such as sin, cos, and tangent, (b) the teacher divided students into several groups, (c) the students learnt together outside the class, (d) the students, by turns, submitted their work to the teacher (sorogan), (e) the teacher checked, revised, and comment their students’ work, (f) teacher evaluated the students’ work in the classroom, (h) teacher gave the test to measure the students’ understandings about this concept, the application of Trigonometry concept,  and lastly, (i) teacher rewarded the students. From the result of pre-interview with the students, it shows that they did not understand the application of Trigonometry. Whereas, the test result after applying KKS method indicated that the students’ scores are above The Criterion of Minimum Completeness (KKM).Keywords:  Cooperative, Contextual, Sorogan, Shadow-based, Trigonometry
