Abstract

The results of monitoring the nutritional status of children under five years (toddler) at the Puskesmas Sigambal Rantau Selatan Sub-District, Labuhanbatu District short prevalence is still high at 15.31% and very short 10.15% in 2017. The study aims to analyze the relationship of nutrition conscious family behavior with incidence of toddler stunting and nutrition awareness family program evaluation. The population was mothers with children aged 12-59 months, 119 people and a sample of 92 people. The sampling technique is a random table technique. Data were analyzed univariate, bivariate and multivariate using multiple logistic regression tests. Qualitative data are data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the consumption of various foods (0,000) was related to the incidence of toddler stunting and as a dominant factor. Weighing variables, iodized salt consumption, exclusive breastfeeding and nutritional supplements (vitamin A) are not related. The interview found that the evaluation of the nutrition awareness family program was not yet supported by the availability of health workers, cadre assistants, funds and infrastructure, as well as cross-sectoral implementation. Program indicators were not reached because they did not specialize in the nutrition awareness family program. It is recommended that the Public Health Office establish a special program for Nutrition Awareness Families, increase cross-sector collaboration and add cadre assistants to promote the importance of nutrition for the community.

The statistical test used by Spearman-rho. The results obtained there is a relationship of knowledge with the actions of nurses about patient safety where the value (p = 0.033; p <0.05), with a value of r = 0.261 which means that the strength of the relationship is weak and there is a relationship between attitude and nurses' actions about patient safety where the value of p = 0.047; p <0.05 with a value of r = 0.243 which means the strength of the relationship is weak. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between the knowledge and actions of nurses and there is a significant relationship between attitudes and actions of nurses about patient safety.

Abstract

Weighing the child's weight every month to find out the nutritional status of children is one of the routine activities at the Posyandu. One effort to reduce the problem of malnutrition in children is to increase the participation of mothers in visiting and weighing their children to the Posyandu every month. This study aims to determine the relationship between the numbers of Posyandu visits with the nutritional status of children under five. This study uses a descriptive correlation design with a retrospective approach. The study was conducted in the working area of the Amplas Health Center with a sample of 382 mothers and children under five years old using a proportional random sampling technique based on the number of Posyandu. The measuring instrument used was an Observation sheet and a child's weight-weighing registration book. The analysis used in univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square. The results showed that 145 people (38%) regularly visited Posyandu and 237 people (62%) did not regularly visit Posyandu. Children who have good nutritional status are 203 people (53.1%), malnutrition is 109 people (28.5%), and malnutrition is 70 people (18.3%). The bivariate analysis results obtained p-value (0.00) <ɑ (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a correlation between the number of Posyandu visits and the nutritional status of children under five. Suggestions for puskesmas staff to be able to conduct training and health education to cadres and improve health facilities in Posyandu.
