<![CDATA[The disqualification of the blind female athlete of Miftahul Jannah from the Asian Para Games judo in October 2018 was the first time that happened in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in news frames between AceTrend and Suara.com related to the Miftahul Jannah case by using several concepts of framing elements from Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki in the form of syntax, script, thematic and rhetorical. The concept is based on the theory of Peter L. Berger to dissect a reality of news, namely the Social Construction Theory of Reality. The results show that the AceHTrend frame through its reporting is more prominent on the justifications of attitudes taken by Miftahul Jannah related to its disqualification from the 2018 Asian Para Games judo sports. Meanwhile the news frame of Suara.com in its coverage highlights attitudes that are more inclined to justification regarding rules Refereeing Rules IJF in judo. Suara.com also said in its report that it did not blame the attitude taken by Miftahul Jannah in defending his belief. This shows that Suara.com wants to be neutral while remaining in favor of the rules of Refereeing Rules IJF in judo. ]]>

<![CDATA[The novel Bumi Manusia is a controversial novel that contains Indigenous life in the Dutch colonial period. Pram depicts the cultural differences between Indigenous and Dutch with a very contrast in all aspects in more detail and depth. The purpose of this research is to expose the cultural differences which are framed in the novel Bumi Manusia. This research is also intended to expose the differences between Javanese and Dutch cultures which not only distinguish culture based on appearance and language. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with secondary data which are obtained from the library research, in the form of literature which are related to this research. The results of this study are: 1) Culture can affect one's personality and mindset. 2) The author describes broader cultural differences and is able to criticize the social gap or strata which are formed from the different cultures at the same time. <![CDATA[Gerindra is one of the leading political parties in Indonesia. Edhy Prabowo is known as an influential figure in the Gerindra Party who currently serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party. Communication is very important in human life, communication is in every human activity. The form can be in the form of writing, oral, image, gesture, printed words. The style of communication comes in part of communication activities in general. Communication style can influence the smoothness of the communication process in an organization. Job performance is greatly influenced by the motivation of employees who are high in doing their jobs. Motivation for each person or individual is different. Depending on the impulse that is basis of someone doing something or working. This study aims to determine the communication style of Edhy Prabowoin motivating Prabowo Subianto’s guards. The concepts used in this study include the style communication, organizational communication, and work motivation. The research paradigm use constructivists with a descriptive qualitative reaserch approach. The subjects of the study were Deputy General of Gerindra Party and Guard Prabowo Subianto. The results of the study revealed that the communication style used by Edhy Prabowo as Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party was a combination of the equalitarian style and the structuring style. In leading the organization Edhy Prabowo also uses a democratic leadership style and implements two way communication.Keyword : Communication Style and Motivation. ]]>

<![CDATA[It is undeniable that the presence of technology such as gadgets has changed the communication between parents and their children. Gadgets are a result of technological developments created in the form of small devices. Based on this, the researchers wanted to see how the role of parents in communicating face to face in the golden age of the existence of gadgets that are present in the midst of their lives. The approach in this study is a qualitative approach with studies that result from descriptive data in the form of speech or writing and the behavior of the people observed in addition to using reading references as the main source. From the results of the study found that there are negative and positive impacts in the use of gadgets during the golden age. <![CDATA[This study aims to examine the ethics of whip law journalism in serambinews.com on November to December 2018. It uses the analysis of Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic text with a qualitative approach. In this study, the researcher took three photos as objects to be studied. The data collection techniques used in this study are text observation method and documentation method. Based on the review of the Sign, Object and Interpretation of those three photos, it shows that thosephotos are not in accordance with the ethics of photojournalism. Some things are not in accordance with the ethics of photojournalism. It still clearly seeing the face of the perpetrators who were sentenced to caning without censorship which should be disguised or not shown clearly, either by blurring or taking photos from an angle that does not show the face of the perpetrator. <![CDATA[The media has now been used by politicians as campaign media to convey persuasive messages to the public. This is because media literacy has become a part of people's lives, so people can easily access information through the media, including information about the potential leaders they will vote for in elections. This study aims to elucidate the influence of the media on opposing political participation in the 2019 parliamentary elections in the cities of Banda Aceh and Meulaboh by questioning informants, including politicians, academics, political observers and the public. From this study, it emerged that the media played a major role in shaping identity politics. The topic of religion and race became the main topic that the media spread in the 2019 parliamentary elections in the cities of Banda Aceh and Meulaboh and that influenced the decision of the people to vote for their top candidates. <![CDATA[Photo Booth has become a contemporary phenomenon among the public, especially during weddings. So from that the West Aceh Society made the wedding event photo booth as the medium of his existence. The purpose of this study was to find out how wedding event photo booths were used for most of the West Aceh community to show their existence. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to collecting field data and observations. The results showed that the event wedding photo booth users used photo booth as a medium of self-existence with their various views on the photo booth, namely photo booth seemed luxurious, unique, beautiful, and of course present. The concept of looking glass that forms a mirror of the user of a photo booth on a positive self-concept, that a photo booth user claims to be proud of himself towards the judgment of others if he uses a photo booth. Besides that, the photo booth is a photo booth besides wedding. they shared the moment when he took a photo in the photo booth area to social media. <![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to know the organisation of communication of the Management organization Department of Communication and Islamic broadcasting of Da'wah and communication faculty to be a solution in resolving academic problems. The method used is a qualitative method. The data collection techniques used are observations and live events. This research is located in Darussalam precisely in the Department of Communication and IslamicBroadcasting Faculty of Da'wah and communication State Islamic University Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh and the informant in this study amounted to 5 people. Data analysis is performed using qualitative descriptive approach techniques. The results of the authors showed that the form of communication organization conducted by the Department of Communication and Islamic broadcasting State Islamic University Ar Raniry to lecturers in resolving academic problems in general is a form of Communication, although sometimes also ongoing form of communication top down from the department to the lecturers. Communication is sometimes done directly and also using the media. From the results the authors assess that the form of communication of the Organization has been used to see the phenomenon in the field that lecturers have busy outsidethe campus so that it is not always on campus and can communicate Directly with the majors.
