Abstract

Teachers are professional educators with the primary task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing. train, assess, and evaluate students. Conducting an assessment and evaluation of learners have strategic value because the result can be a material reflection for designing learning mathematics teacher quality. Identify the problem through a questionnaire distributed to students who have carried out Practice Field Experience shows that they still have weaknesses when assessing the understanding of mathematical concepts, procedural knowledge, and problem solving skills. The main obstacle is not available adequate teaching materials for studying these three aspects, necessitating an effort to develop a module for evaluation of learning mathematics courses. The module was developed with the problem solving approach through three stages of adaptation of the model development by Thiagarajan 4D, which define, design and develop. The results of the validation by the two experts of module design are extremely valid with a score of 82.963%, and 91, 852%, and the results of the validation by the two experts of creative content is also very valid with a score of 87.143% and 95.714%. In addition, the result that the use of the modules have an impact on student learning outcomes at tcount = 17.09765>ttable = 2.02439, df = 36, and  = 5%. So we concluded that the evaluation of learning course modules that have been developed have valid, practical, and effectivecriteria.

Abstract

The problem in learning mathematics at SMPN 11 Mataram that the student motivation and student learning outcomes are low.  Moreover, the teacher  never using cooperative learning model type make a match (finding couple game). Therefore the purpose of  this research is to know the effect of cooperative learning model type make a match toward student motivation and student outcomes at the eight grade of SMPN 11 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017. The kind of this reseach was a experimental research. Experiment design  was used that is quasi experiment with posttest-only control design. The  sample technique of this research was used purposive sampling where in class VIIID were got (31 Student) as experiment class and VIIIE  (30 Student) as control class. Based on data analyzed was got mean score student motivation of experiment class with 61,03 with good category, while the control class  was got mean score 57,07 with good enough category. And the data student result of experiment class was got mean score 81,71 with successful point 80,64%. Whereas control class was got mean score 73,56 with successful point 53,33%.  And t test about student result was got thitung > ttabel or 3,08 > 2,01. Furthemore the result of this research can be concluded,  there is  effect of cooperative learning model type make a match toward student motivation and student learning  outcomes at the eight grade of SMPN 11 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

This study aims to identify improving students' math reasoning abilities through learning problem posing in problem solving at students of Mathematics Education Department of FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. The lack of basic knowledge and reasoning ability of mathematics teacher candidate in solving school math problem become the main factor of this research. Therefore, one of the learning methods that can be applied to solve the problem is through problem posing method. This research is Quasi Eksperimen research with Time Series design. The subject of this research consists of 35 mathematics teacher candidates consisting of 18 science students and 17 non-IPA students. The research instrument used consisted of questionnaire, written test (pretest and postest), observation and interview. The validity of the written test description is done through field trials and two validators. Field test results will be used to determine the differentiation, difficulty, validity, and reliability of the test. The data of the writing test were analyzed by using t-test. The result of this research shows improvement of students' reasoning ability in solving problems involving geometry material after applied problem posing (problem solving) method. This increase in reasoning is derived from the problem-solving process of student teacher problem in a structured way.

Abstract

The problem in mathematics learning at SMPN 3 Praya Barat Daya is that the teacher still apply conventional method so that the passive student in the class, lack of understanding the material explained and the lack of interaction between the student in solving the given problem. As a result students' mathematics learning achievement becomes low. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to know the influence of Team Accelerated Instruction method toward student's mathematics learning achievement. Team Accelerated Instruction method is a method of learning where students learn in small groups that are heterogeneous followed by the provision of individual assistance to students who need, so that students are more active in learning activities of mathematics. This study aims to determine the effect of team accelerated instruction method toward students mathematics learning achievement at VII grade of SMPN 3 Praya Barat Daya in academic year 2016/2017. The type of research used in this study is Experiments. The experimental design used was Quasi Eksperimen. The research design was nonequivalent control group design, the population in this study were the students of grade VII SMPN 3 Praya Barat Daya, the sample used was the students of class VII.A which amounted to 24 people as the control class and the students of class VII.B which amounted to 21 people as class experiments and sampling techniques using saturated sampling, data collection techniques using essay-shaped tests to obtain data on student learning outcomes. Based on the result of data analysis obtained by Zhitung equal to 7,14 at 5% significant level whereas Ztabel obtained is 0,0000. So the result of U-test that is Zhitung> Ztabel that is 7,14> 0,0000. Hence can be concluded that There is Influence Method Of Team Accelerated Instruction towartd student mathematic achievement VII grade of SMPN 3 Praya Barat Daya in academic year 2016/2017

Abstract

This development research aims is to develop an interactive of mathematics learning media using Visual Basic for Application based on Ms. program. Power Point. The development of this medium was using 4D development model, namely: (D) efine, (D) esign, (D) evelop, (D) issiminate, and the resulting product in the form of learning media on Euclid geometry subject. Based on the trial of product, the material expert stated that the product is valid with the validity percentage of 82.5%, the media expert stated that the product is valid with the validity percentage of 83.4%, and the practitioner stated that the product is valid with the validity percentage of 86% and the user / user stated the product practically with the percentage of practicality is 84%. Thus, it can be concluded that the resulting product is valid and the product can be applied in the classroom as well as beneficial for the students.

Abstract

This research aimed to the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) toward Student Activity and Learning outcomes At Seventh Grade Students of SMPN 4 Lingsar In Academic Year 2015/2016 in absorbing and the materiel given by the teacher with looking observation sheets and student learning outcomes using problem based learning method. problem based learning was the problem giving method relating with daily activity to students then students according to group looked for solution alternative to solve the problem. The type of this research is experiment research. The design of this research is quasi experiment with ?pretest-posttest group design?. The population of this research was the seventh grade students at SMPN 4 Lingsar which were four classes. Sample interpretation technique was determined with purposive sampling, so that this was acquired seventh-A class as experiment class and seventh-B class as control class. According to the result of data analysis was acquired student activity score in experiment class that was 82, 75% with so active category and activity score in control class was 53% with active enough category. Statistic test result (t-test) showed that tcount was 4,878 on the significant (two directions) that were 0,000 with 39 free degrees and it was acquired table test 1,684. Because t count was 4,878 > ttable (1,684) and significant level was 0,000 and ? was 0, 05 (sig< ?). Therefore it can be concluded that noel hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and alternative hypothesis was accepted or it can be concluded that there is the significant difference after given treatment, that means there is the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) toward Student Activity and Learning outcomes At Seventh Grade Students of SMPN 4 Lingsar In Academic Year 2015/2016.

Abstract

The problem in mathematics learning in SMA Negeri 1 Sekotong is the low student activity and student learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the student activity and learning outcomesat X Grade student of SMA Negeri 1 Sekotong through the application of Eliciting Activities (MEAs) learning models. This research is classroom action research (PTK). The sample in this study Grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Sekotong in the school year 2015/2016 as many as 31 students. The instrument used to measure students activity is observation sheet and student learning outcomes abstained from the test evaluation of student learning. Based on the analysis of data abstained activity score of student learning cycle I and II was 2.96 and 3.85 with active category to the category of very active. Scores of individuals obtained depending on how many current behavior of a number of indicators were observed. While analysis learning outcomes of student in the first cycle showed that of the 31 students who took the tests, as many as 24 students completed with an average grade completeness reached 77.41% and analysis learning outcomes of student in the second cycle showed that of the 31 students who took the tests, as many as 30 students completed with an average grade completeness reached 96.77%. The completeness criteria individually seen when students get  ? 75 as thestandard mastery learning minimal and classical completeness by using the value of the theory of mastery learning outcomes minimalstating that the class is said to be completed by learning when reached at least 85% of the number of students who received grades of 75 and above.
