Abstract

This paper aims to find out how the communication dynamics by the Venezuelan government when dealing with humanitarian assistance provided by the international community, especially the United States. Venezuela is colaps, the international community including the United States wants to provide assistance to them, but the president of Venezuela, Maduro, refuses the aid. This research method uses interpretative case study methods. According to Casel and Simon, qualitative methods are social science research methods that attempt to accurately describe and interpret the meaning of symptoms that occur in a social context The United States had to continue and improve diplomatic leadership and assistance in response to the Venezuelan.

Abstract

This paper aims to proves that the diversity of minority attributes in a person becomes the main capital in winning direct political contestation through election; or indirectly through unilateral appointment. It is characterized by five Muslim politicians who are able to sit in political office with the capital of political biography, social biography, and or intellectual biography. This research uses three methods in the form of political biography, social biography, and intellectual biography. Political biography consists of opinions or thoughts expressed by David Hanlon (2015); and opinions or thoughts of Anastasia Astapova (2016). The social biography used in this study refers to the thought of Smiljka Tomanović (2012). The intellectual biography used in this study is based on the thoughts of Damián Omar Martínez (2013) and the thinking of Thomas Hylland Eriksen (2015). The study was limited to five Muslim politicians comprising Jilani Chowdhury (Mayor of London, 2012), Ahmed Aboutaleb (Mayor of Rotterdam, 2008), Muhammad Salique (Mayor of Tower Hamlets, London Raya, 2008-2009), Erion Veliaj (Mayor of Tirana, 2015 ), Sadiq Aman Khan (Mayor of London, 2016), and Hadia Tajik (Norwegian Minister of Culture, 2012). This study is limited to the study of European Muslim Politicians in the perspective of a major theme. This study is also limited during the study that took place in Europe in 2012 until 2016

Abstract

This paper aims to explain how CMC has implications for constructivism in communication and cultural learning. he method used to write this review followed previous patterns by work. During collecting articles as main sources, we used Google scholar, Baidu scholars, Science Direct and Mendeley search platform, we also used such keywords as cross-cultural learning, technology, intercultural learning, promoting, facilitating, understanding and competence to find articles. in the end in this paper found conclusions Technology-used should fulfil the today need of learner. Combination of asynchronous and synchronous communication are mostly suggested for the next future research. We also believe by the need of global society and the rapid growth of technology, people around the world need more advanced technology such as Hologram, VR technology, artificial intelligent features, cloud and so on.

Abstract

The technological development has led to the emergence of modern means of communication, such as electronic newspapers, tablets and mobile phones. Since modern communication media has assumed growing responsibility in the reporting and dissemination of news and information, printed media has been negatively affected. This paper aims to investigate the future of the news function of printing press under the competition of electronic means in the period 2015-2025 by determining the factors affecting this function, the experts' perceptions and the possible future scenarios. By conducting interviews with experts and analyzing the contents of news items in printed and electronic newspapers, this article reveals that printed press cannot be dead because it is more effective in shaping the reader's agenda and still adheres to professional norms. Results add that online news content lacks the professional guidelines, especially the accuracy and the attribution as many of the quotes are inaccurate, or are attributed to the wrong person due to the uncontrolled freedom of posting and modifying information online.

Abstract

This paper aims to determine how the communication strategy used to improve women's political participation in Indonesia. The essence of the communication strategy is planning and management to achieve one goal. To reach this goal, strategy functioned not only as a roadmap to lead the way but also has to show how the operational tactics. Communication strategy is a blend of communication planning and communication management to attain a specific purpose. To compose communication strategy, there are several factors which have to be considered necessary. First, knowing the public is the first step fora communicator to create effective communication. Note that in the communication process, the audience is active instead of passive. So between the communicator and communicant not only occurs relations but also influence that affect each other. Second, compile message, namely determining theme and subject. The main requirement to change public from this message is the capability to arouse their concern. The concern is a central observation. Thus not all who observed could trigger attention. Therefore the beginning of communication effectivity is the rise of the public’s attention toward the delivered messages.

Abstract

This paper aims to corelation among The development of information and communication technology (ICT) encouraging diverse patterns of change including government and public relations in a democracy this research is a library study, a library that contains an in-depth collection of materials for one more subjects. Research libraries usually include primary and secondary sources. In the end we must realize ICT is a tool not a solution for democracy. The main lesson from countries that are able to adopt the principles of e-democracy to improve the quantity and quality of participation of its citizen is a good preparation prior to application in the field.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how the message of peace and what peace messages are featured in the film. This type of research is qualitative. Researchers analyze the signs that appear in the drawings and dialogue using semiotic analysis of Charles Sander Pierce model, as well as classify in Pierce type of icons, indexes, and symbols. Abstract

This peper aims to find out the efforts of the Yogyakarta government to teach internet positive to all citizens.  The methodology of this study uses descriptive qualitative methods with a case study approach, this research uses analysis of literature and media. Media literacy is the answer to problems and concerns about provocative and negative information or messages that are now circulating among the public. Technological progress certainly does not always have a positive effect on society. Socmed agawe guyub become primer program for indonesians specially Yogyakarta can be more active to selected the infornation in social media and share only a good and right information in their social media.

Abstract

This papera aims to describe how international communication dynamics of America to response of Arab Spring. Arab Spring is an event that shocked the world when the Middle East flared up. The demonstrators took to the streets to demand an authoritarian regime downgrade and replace it with democracy. The democratization process that took place in the Middle East was in the world spotlight. America is considered a country that intervenes so that democratization can be realized in the Middle East. This is supported by various American interests in the Middle East. By using research library data search methods, the authors get the results of the form of intervention carried out by America to realize democratization in the Middle East.

This paper aims to how Indonesian Leaders Forum (ILF) as a new talkshow program in Indonesia effort to increasing political interest of citizens. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with a case study of the ILF Program. By using descriptive method, the author can explain the background of the incident, some perspective on the event and analyze in depth. So the ILF can answer the public's concerns about the political situation in Indonesia today conclusion contains the main points of the article.
