Abstract

The tourism industry is one of the primary needs for the life of modern society today. Because of these factors, it makes the need for recreation or tourism increases. East Sakerta Tourism Village is one of the leading tourist destinations in the Kuningan Regency. This village has a long history and interesting community culture, but not many people know about it. This study aims to investigate the history of the East Sakerta Village as a popular tourist destination in West Java. The research method used is a qualitative method. This data collection method is carried out using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. Primary data collection was carried out directly and purposive sampling by interviewing key people, namely the village government apparatus, tourism community leaders (kompepar), and the community. FGD method was used to find out about the history, legends, and culture of the East Sakerta Village. The results of FGD findings consist of the religion, the history of the village, the local culture, the historical sites, the myths and legend, and the philosophy of Sakerta Timur Village. The philosophy concept is "Tumaritis" which is a village in the Sundanese and Javanese puppet which has a philosophy of mutual protection, security, and prosperity.

Abstract

Media is needed in the learning process because learning activities are a process of conveying information between sources(teacher) and recipients (students). This study was conducted to analyze the use of visual media as an effort to achieve learning objectives. The library research method is used to collected data and information contained in the library room related to the use of media and learning objectives. Data was collected by identifying articles, books, and other supporting documents which were then analyzed. The result of this study shows that using visual media in the learning process can help students to develop visual skills. In addition, visual media is a learning tool that can develop students' imagination in learning activities.Thus, this study describes the use of visual media as learning media that can help students improve their mastery of events that are impossible to present in the classroom

Abstract

The development of Tiktok learning media is in line with the current digital era. This gives rise to social media that can be a learning medium because social media attracts attention and is close to the millennial generation who are indeed attached to the digital world. One of the social media that is currently popular is the Tiktok application. Tiktok can be an interesting and fun learning medium. The use of the Tiktok application as a learning medium is expected to help students and educators in learning. Therefore, this study aims to show that Tiktok social media can be an alternative and interactive learning media in online learning. The method used is a literature study by analyzing fourteen articles relevant to the development of TikTok as a learning medium. The results of the study show that the use of Tiktok social media as a learning medium can increase the activeness and creativity of students in the online learning process. Students can freely express their creativity through Tiktok with various features, thus making Tiktok as an effective learning medium in creating interactive online learning. This research is influential in making Tiktok social media as an interactive learning media for educators and students in online learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the improvement of students' mathematical understanding skills whose learning uses Skinner's learning theory through the Picture and Picture model. The research method used is a true experimental method with a purposive sample of class VIII SMPIT Ibnu Hajar Mandiri Bekasi for the 2020/2021 academic year, amounting to 36 students. Sampling was done purposively with SPSS 26. The instruments are in the form of test questions describing students' mathematical understanding abilities on function material and questionnaire sheets. The results showed that learning mathematics using Skinner's learning theory through Picture and Picture models can increase students' mathematical understanding skills by 81% with very good interpretation, besides that there are differences in the mathematical understanding of students whose learning uses Skinner's learning theory through Picture and Picture models with students who the learning does not use Skinner's learning theory but through the Picture and Picture model. Of the total 36 students, there were 29 students who experienced an increase, so that the student's response after using Skinner's learning theory through the Picture and Picture model was considered good

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate the use of an instructional design model to enhance the effectiveness of conducting face-to-face students' learning support in the distance education system. Universitas Terbuka (UT) provides various learning supports for its students. The students can use both online and face-to-face tutorial programs to improve their learning process. UT must find the appropriate instructional strategy that enables to enhance students’ motivation in learning. One of the instructional design models that focus on the effort of improving students’ motivation in learning is the ARCS, motivational instructional design model. This model entails essential components that will support the process of learning such as Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction. The study involved 32 distant education students who participated in a face-to-face tutorial program. A pre and post-test session was conducted to get information regarding the impact of using the ARCS instructional design model to facilitate students’ learning. This research has implications for educators or trainers related to designing learning scenarios or developing learning design models.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to find the starting grade class in pre-primary and early primary school that adjustable with e-learning hologram technology for e-learning Arabic language. This experimental design research used a mixed, quantitative method for a score of control groups- traditional learning and experimental groups-hologram e-learning of primary school, a qualitative method for descriptive assessment reports, interview, and observation of pre-primary school. for group A the instrument's data are taken from the content of LKS which has explained the detail in the previous paragraph and the group B from the hologram movie that contains the content of LKS by considering the time span of learning between 10-20 minutes, the content of Arabic learning must emphasis in writing and pronouncing and the exception for the pre-primaryschool as the writing is not compulsory yet. The population of 68 participants. The validation quantitative data were analyzed t-test and else Mann–Whitney test, meta-analysis to describe result for the conclusion. The qualitative used triangulation of descriptive data for validation. The result shows that 1st grade, the sig. result 1.00 > 0.05 and 2sc of primary school, the sig. result 0.843 > 0.05 with hologram are indicating no significant gap with traditional learning, same effectiveness, but for pre-primary school with hologram is less-classical completeness 52.5% < 85%. The conclusion of this research is that hologram technology can be used for e-learning Arabic language subject that is adjustable for primary school starting 1st and 2sc grade.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to answer the following questions. Is there a relationship between the principal's perception of the use of liquor by students with sports teams, school drama / music groups, and band / choir groups based on PISA 2018. The research method used is quantitative method. The data in this study uses PISA 2018 data that has been released to the public and has been permitted to be used for research development purposes. The population of this study were principals in schools where 15-year-old students were studying in 2018, while the sample was principals in schools where 15-year-old students took PISA tests in 80 countries. The reason for choosing the sample was the principal in the school where the student was taking the 2018 PISA test. The data in this study were in the form of a questionnaire that was answered by principals in 80 countries, namely 20811 principals from 80 countries. Based on the results of the multiple regression analysis, the results show that there is a relationship between the principal's perception of the use of alcohol by students with sports teams, school drama / music groups, and band / choir groups based on PISA 2018 (P <0.000). The reliability of the instrument is 1.00 higher than the reliability of the person = 0.04. The conclusion is that statistically there is a relationship between the principal's perception of the use of alcohol by students with sports teams, school drama / music groups, and band / choir groups based on PISA 2018. These results indicate that the lower the use of alcohol and drugs in students at school, the more successful the school sports team, school drama/music group, and school band/choir group or vice versa.

Abstract

The present study aims to identify the implementation of a peer-tutor method and self-efficacy towards the students’ mathematics learning outcomes. This experimental study involved two classes (each consisting of 35 students) as the research sample, which were extracted by a simple random sampling technique. Moreover, the data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, two-way ANOVA, and Tukey test. The study involved variables as follows: the peer tutor method was the experiment variable, the lecture method was the control variable, and the moderator variable was the self-efficacy indicator that was analyzed using instruments of learning outcomes test and questionnaire. The results reveal that: a) the learning outcomes of experiment class (peer tutor method) is higher than control class (lecture method); b) there is an interaction between the learning method and self-efficacy towards the learning outcomes; c) students with higher self-efficacy have higher learning results when taught by peer-tutor method compared to those who were taught by lecture method; d) for those with lower self-efficacy, both peer-tutor and lecture method generate similar learning results; e) for subjects like mathematics, peer-tutor method is suggested.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to; 1) Produce a Virtual Learning System (VLS) Based on Moodle as a Covid-19 Online Learning Platform; 2) Testing the Feasibility of the Virtual Learning System (VLS) from the Appearance and Practicality Aspects. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model. The Borg and Gall model was modified inti six (6) steps, needs analysis, planning, development, Implementation, revision. The subject of the trial involved two media experts, one material experts and 30 student from SMKN 1 Sorong, West Papua were selected randomly. The instrumen used collect data is a product validation questionnaire. The data obtained in the form of qualitative data which are quantified, the tabulated and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that; 1) Research This development has produced a Moodle-based Virtual Learning System (VLS). Moodle-based Virtual Leaning System (VLS) application passed the quality and practicality test by media experts; 2). The results of the trial of the media expert's product on the display aspect obtained a value of 89.5% very feasible criteria, while the practicality aspect was 90.0% practical criteria. Meanwhile, from the aspect of Usabily Virtual Learning system (VLS) based on moodle, 90% of students complete the lesson independently, then 98% of students understand the lesson.

Abstract

Google Translate is a popular translation and is used by most people around the world. Google Translate not only offers translation in various languages, it can even speed up work Translate. In learning the new norm, Google Translate is considered the easiest way to facilitate translation work and assist students in completing academic assignments. Based on the preliminary survey that had been done toward fifteen English thesis abstracts of post graduate students, it was found a lot of mistakes in the writing (tenses). This research aims at identifying the use of tenses/grammar in English thesis abstracts. The type of this research is descriptive through documentation study approach. The population was all English thesis abstracts at post graduate program Jakarta Islamic University. The sampling was purposive sampling. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the research showed that the inappropriate use of tense was more than that of theappropriate one in the part of background; the inappropriate use of tense was more than that of the appropriate one in the part of research method; the inappropriate use of tense was more than that of the appropriate one in the part of result (findings); the appropriate use of tense was more than that of the inappropriate one in the part of discussion; and the appropriate use of tense was more than that of the inappropriate one in the part of conclusion and suggestion
