Abstract

This study analyzes the factors that affected the capital structure of chemicals and basic industry sectors from manufacturing companies which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2014-2016. The study were conducted by examining the effect of firm size, liquidity, profitability, business risk, and asset structure on capital structure. This data were collected from the financial report of 27 manufacture basic industry and chemicals sectors which were listed on Bursa Efek Indonesia in 2014-2016. The multiple regressions analysis and classic assumption test have been performed by sing SPSS 22.0 version statistic test instrument. The result of the research shows that the research regression model has fulfilled the requirements there are no symptoms of multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and correlation and the in used file is normally distributed. The result of the research shows: profitability, firm size, liquidity, business risk, asset structure has significant influence to the capital structure.

Abstract

This research aims to understand  the history of REITs market in Singapore (S-REITs), Malaysia (M-REITs), Thailand (Thai-REITs), and Hongkong (HK-REITs), along with the curent regulation, with the intention to figure out the differences between markets thus lessons can be learned to boost DIRE’s market in Indonesia. Purpose of this research is to understand the background of REITs growth in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Hongkong, along with understanding the regulations and differences. By understanding those, one can help to understand how the regulation can help DIRE and invigorate DIRE’s market. Qualitative descriptive model research is done to obtain information as mention above.The conclusion of this research is DIRE have experience the same occurence as other successful REITs market in the region. Regulators have amend the regulations to invigorate the market. While other comparisons have succesfully develop REITs market, DIRE is still stagnan in zero growth condition. Only after comparing the regulations, it is revealed that DIRE’s gearing ratio and income taxes might hinders its growth to be as fast as other comparison. Regulators need to improve these conditions to increase interest towards DIRE.

Abstract

This study aims to analyzing the influence of competitive strategies (cost leadership, differentiation and focusz) on corporate innovation (product, process and administrative innovations) in paper industry. The population in this study were employees of PT. X and PT. Y. The sampling method used was probability sampling and was determined to be 86 respondents of both firms. The analytical method used in this study is the analysis of the Stuctural Equation Model (SEM) with the AMOS program. The results showed that 1) Cost Leadership, Differentiation, Focus proved to have a significant positive effect on Product Innovation, 2) Cost Leadership, Differentiation, Focus proved to have a significant positive effect on Process Innovation, 3) Cost Leadership, Differentiation, Focus proved to have a significant positive effect on Administrative Innovation. For this reason, companies are expected to continue to innovate to increase customer satisfaction by paying attention to their competitive advantages such as maintaining cost advantages, maintaining strong brand identification and focusing on achieving competitive advantage.

Abstract

 Before investing, investors should do return of investment analysis. This study is to determine the differences of return between gold investment and IHSG stock. This study period is between November 2009 to October 2018 with timespan of 1 year, 5 years, and 10 years. The data used for this study is IHSG stock prices historical data, and the price of LBMA gold. Data analysis using T-test (independent sample t-test). The results of this study shows that investing in gold instrument return higher profit than investing in IHSG stocks.

Abstract

The store brand is one of strategy that retailers used for competing in the market which is getting tighter every single day. Based on previous research, there were several factor that influence purchase intention.this study aims to determine the effect of, strore image, perceived risk, and price image on purchase intention at modern market in Jakarta. The researh method  used in this study is PLS-SEM, and the data collected by structured quistionaires. Sample that used in this study is 204 respondents. And as the result, the direct effect of store image is the only variabel that wasn’t had a significant influence on purchase intention.

Abstract

Jakarta is experiencing a tremendous residential growth due to the high level of urban migration to Indonesia’s capital. Therefore, PT CD, through its subsidiary, PT CAP, tries to fulfill the increasing demand of residential housing by developing a 180,328 m2 of land in the West of Jakarta. The development is called the Citra Garden Puri project.This paper is developed to determine the feasibility of the project through cash flow sensitivity analysis. There are 3 (three) assumptions used, which are : the normal, pessimistic, and optimistic assumptions. These assumptions are tested through 3 (three) calculation methods: Payback Period, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index (PI).  The results of the sensitivity analysis are are Based on the Payback Period calculation, the project is deemed feasible. The current company’s payback period is approximately 4 years, while the payback periods for the project are 24 months, 24 months, a for the normal, and optimistic assumptions consecutively. Based on the NPV calculation, the project is deemed feasible. The NPV is positive for all assumptions. Based on the IRR calculation, the project is deemed feasible. The IRR for the normal and optimistic assumptions are higher than the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC). Therefore, based on the results of the sensitivity analysis of the project’s cash flow, it is concluded that the Citra Garden Puri Semanan project is a profitable business decision. To increase profitability level, the company should try to find other financing alternatives to lower the cost of capital.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial performance on stock returns in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015 to 2017 simultaneously or partially. The variables used in this study are Earning Per Share (EPS), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Return On Equity (ROE) as independent variables and stock return as the dependent variable.  The data used are financial statements from food and beverage companies published through the website ww.idx.co.id. The results of the study show that the independent variables EPS, DER, PER, ROE do not significantly influence the dependent variable (stock return) simultaneously. While the results of the study are partial, it shows that only EPS and ROE variables have a significant effect on stock returns. Thus it can be concluded that all the independent variables studied cannot be used simultaneously to determine the amount of stock returns. The data analysis method used in this study is a quantitative method by testing classical assumptions, as well as statistical analysis, namely multiple linear regression analysis. The sampling method used was purposive sampling.

Abstract

E-Commerce or better known as electronic commerce is the dissemination, buying, selling, marketing of goods and services through electronic systems. In Indonesia, E-Commerce began to show a fairly rapid development. Factors Knowledge them about E-Commerce that makes the users of E-Commerce in Indonesia feel unsure to make transactions on the E-Commerce website. In addition to Knowledge factors, other factors such as User Interface Quality, Information Quality, Perceived Security and Perceived Privacy, are factors that can trigger a person to be able to perform transactions in E-Commerce. Then the factor of trust, attitude can also affect a person in doing transactions on E-Commerce website. This study aims to find out how the influence of user interface quality, information quality, perceived security, perceived privacy variables via trust variables, and belief variables, and knowledge through attitude variable to purchase intention in E-Commerce website in Indonesia. analysis method used is path analysis method, data source used is primary data. in this study also carried out the distribution of questionnaires as much as 300 respondents with the requirement that the prospective respondents must have or often give goods on E-Commerce website. The results There are variables that significantly affect the trust variables of User Interface Quality, Information Quality, Perceived Privacy. While other variables such as Belief, and Knowledge, significant effect on the Attitude someone to act or conduct transactions in E-Commerce website in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is to measure Information Technology performance in a company using IT Balanced Scorecard. Currently at PT. XYZ, there is no measurement of IT performance to know the contribution of IT department, so that the author plans to develop the IT Balanced Scorecard to measure the performance of IT department. IT Balanced Scorecard that has four perspectives is very well used to formulate IT Strategic targets that support the company’ strategic goals and measure IT performance. Plan to implement the IT Balanced Scorecard can be done by data collection, interview, and questionnaries, so we can know the initial conditions at IT department. With this analysis, can be seen directly the support of IT department to company strategic plan, get new standard for KPI (Key Performance Indicator) so in the future, performance improvement can be measured better and get seven strategic objectives used by the IT department.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze brand image, brand awareness, corporate social responsibility and market segmentation related to purchasing decisions on XYZ products. In this research data collection method used is online questionnaire and offline questionnaire to know the factors sought by customer in choosing product of XYZ. The sample is 130 respondents who consumed XYZ products. Data analysis method used is regression analysis. Based on the result of the research, the results shows that brand awareness, corporate social responsibility and market segmentation have positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Brand image has a positive but not significant toward purchasing decision.
