Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate, analyze the potential and existing of PT. XYZ. From this research Management, PT. XYZ is expected to be able to choose the proper strategic management action. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. For Business Development Strategy analysis, this study used EFE and IFE matrix, IE matrix, SWOT matrix and QSPM. The study found that PT. XYZ was in a strong position in making use of the power possessed and able to overcome the existing weaknesses the total IFE was 3.57 whose value was classified as exploiting the existing opportunity level. Meanwhile, the value of EFE coping the threat was 3,25.  IE matrix showed that PT XYZ has used growth and build strategies whose alternative strategies can be used to develop its business.

Abstract

The relationship between capital structure and profitability cannot be ignored because the improvement in the profitability is necessary for the long-term survivability of the firm. This paper seeks to investigate the relationship between capital structure and profitability of listed firms on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during a three-year period. A sample of 35 Indonesia firms listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange for a period of 3 years from 2014-2016 was selected. The correlations and regression analysis were used to estimate the functions relating to profitability (measured by return on equity) with measures of capital structure. Empirical results show a positive relationship between i) short-term debt to total assets and profitability and ii) total debt to total assets and profitability in the service industry, and negative relationship between long-term debt to total assets and profitability. This paper offers useful insights for the owners/operators, managers, and lending institutions based on empirical evidence, and suggests that profitable firms depend more on debt as their main financing option.

Abstract

UMKM (Mikro Kecil dan Menenagah) is the hope of the Republic of Indonesia to continue to grow and develop, but this is not in line with the development of UMKM, so many obstacles encountered, therefore the responsibility to empower UMKM is not only a responsibility. from the government, the responsibility of the company to participate in empowering UMKM through corporate social responsibility activities to the community in general and UMKM, especially in the form of CSR. Corperate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the way companies do to contribute or participate in providing benefits to the wrong perpetrators of society. The activities of Corperate Social Responsibility (CSR) have been undertaken by companies based on the cooperative, Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Maju WIjaya in increasing the development of UMKM through Corperate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. The method used is descriptive qualitative method which is usually done for case study and data completion which is used using the interview technique, and take from written sources from books, journals and documentation related to Kopeasi Simpan Pinjam Maju Wijaya in data management so that the result of it can be useful information. To conduct the activities of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to UMKM conducted by Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Maju Wijaya through five key successes namely Education, Discussion Group Forum, Assistance, Periodical Visits, Periodic Information for True CSR Activity can benefit UMKM.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of vegetarian restaurant consumers and to determine the effect of health consciousness and food product on purchase intention at vegetarian restaurant partially in Indonesia. This Study also determine the effect of health consciousness on the relationship with religiosity and the effect of food product on the relationship with religiosity with an purchase intention at vegetarian restaurant in Indonesia.This research uses descriptive quantitative methods. The method of data collection is done using primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from the distribution of questionnaires while secondary data is obtained from other sources. Furthermore, the population in this study were vegetarian restaurant consumers in 5 major cities of Indonesia namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan. This study uses non-probability sampling techniques by taking purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study were 382 respondents. The method of data analysis in this study used multiple regression analysis with the SmartPLS version 3.0 program.The results of this study indicate that health consciousness and food product have a significant influence on purchase intention at vegetarian restaurant partially. Health consciousness and food products have a significant influence on purchase intention which is moderated by religiosity in vegetarian restaurant customers. Furthermore Health consciousness and product to purchase intention will be further strengthened if moderated by religiosity.

Abstract

Recently, the development of building materials supermarket business is growing fast and rapidly, this can be seen from the rapid growth of the Indonesia’s economy. One of the building materials supermarket in Indonesia is Mitra10. Mitra10 has 27 stores spread across Indonesia but unfortunately Mitra10's sales still can’t catch up its competitor, Depo Bangunan. Depo Bangunan only has 8 stores in Indonesia so Mitra10 must analyze the internal, external and industrial environments related to building materials supermarket business then analyze it using CP Matrix. Depo Bangunan is considered as a market leader in building and materials field so Mitra10 must conduct an offensive strategy by using a frontal attack on price, people, rapid delivery and customer service by using a private label so that Mitra10's private label will be increasingly known and at the same time subsidize high profit margins and logistic costs. The use of this strategy is applied to segment A which is considered as a warzone in a place that intersect with Depo Bangunan, with an undifferentiated strategy and applying positioning on private label products that are divided based on high end class, middle class and low class. The implementation of STP is assisted by a marketing mix where the price given in the warzone area is a local brand price that is equated with the price at Depo Bangunan and the private label price is given lower than the local brand in the Depo Bangunan or Mitra10 then the product will follow motives in Depo Bangunan that sell quickly so that the assortment and variety of products will increase, the expansion of Mitra10 will be faster and at last, the convenience of consumers when shopping also have to be considered so that consumers will be more loyal to Mitra10.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa variabel yang mempengaruhi kinerja keuangan perusahaan yang termasuk dalam perusahaan publik non keuangan. Variabel yang digunakan adalah leverage, pertumbuhan, ukuran perusahaan, risiko keuangan, tangibilitas, likuiditas, non-debt tax shield, ukuran dewan direksi dan ukuran komite audit. Penelitian ini juga menguji konsistensi hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Sampel dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 716 data dari 179 perusahaan non keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dari tahun 2010 sampai dengan 2014 dan dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling, Data tersebut dianalisa dengan analisa regresi berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variabel independen terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa leverage, ukuran perusahaan, tangibilitas, non-debt tax shield dan ukuran komite audit memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Sementara, pertumbuhan, risiko keuangan, likuiditas dan ukuran dewan direksi tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan.

Abstract

The level of consumption for eggs in Maluku can not be fulfilled by local production, therefore there is a need of supply from other regions such as Makassar and Surabaya. This situation opens for dependence on the supply of eggs from other regions is very high, which indicates that there is an opportunity for business and large market share for this business in Maluku. Seeing the opportunities that exist, the idea to open a layer farming in Maluku is feasible to be implemented. The marketing targets of the products are retail merchants in the market, grocery stores and collective merchant between regions. In this business plan, there are income statement and cash flow statement of the company for the next 5 years. Based on calculations that have been done, the results of the Net Present Value (NPV) is positive, and payback period is faster than the time specified. Thus, it can be concluded that investment in layer farming is feasible and profitable.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is an influence between Debt Ratio (DR), Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Firm Size to consumer goods company’s stock price. This research examines eighteen consumer goods companies, which listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2012 to 2015. Sampling method that’s been used for this research is purposive sampling because the sample used in this research has been adapted to certain criteria. The hypothesis examined by using Scientific Program for Social Science (SPSS). Multiple regression analysis is being used to test some hypothesis about the effects of debt ratio (DR), return on asset (ROA), return on equity (ROE), net profit margin (NPM), and firm size to consumer goods company’s stock price. The results of this research show that debt ratio (DR), return on asset (ROA), return on equity (ROE), net profit margin (NPM), and firm size have significant effect to stock price simultaneously. Debt ratio and ROE do not have a partially significant effect on stock prices. Net Profit Margin (NPM) has a partially significant negative effect on stock prices. ROA and firm size have a partially significant positive influence to stock prices.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the earning quality and corporate bankruptcy prediction by using Altman Z-Score  method, and analyze the influence of the earnings quality against the bankruptcy prediction results. The sample data are 45 companies listed in the index of LQ-45 for the period February 2013 until August 2017 with purposive sampling method. The test results showed that earning quality has a greater relationship influence on a the prediction of corporate bankruptcy for bankrupt categories 37.66% than in the prediction of corporate bankruptcy for non bankrupt categories (health) only  8.61%.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors that affected the capital structure of chemicals and basic industry sectors from manufacturing companies which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2014-2016. The study were conducted by examining the effect of firm size, liquidity, profitability, business risk, and asset structure on capital structure. This data were collected from the financial report of 27 manufacture basic industry and chemicals sectors which were listed on Bursa Efek Indonesia in 2014-2016. The multiple regressions analysis and classic assumption test have been performed by sing SPSS 22.0 version statistic test instrument. The result of the research shows that the research regression model has fulfilled the requirements there are no symptoms of multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and correlation and the in used file is normally distributed. The result of the research shows: profitability, firm size, liquidity, business risk, asset structure has significant influence to the capital structure.
