Abstract

Economic growth in Indonesia tends to increase because the contribution of MSME growth to GDP is quite large. MSMEs contributed 7,009,283 (in billion rupiah) or equivalent to 59.84% of total GDP in 2016 and in 2017 GDP growth reached 7,704,635.9 (in billion rupiah) or equivalent to 60% of total GDP in Indonesia with a market share absorption of 99%. This study uses a Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach by combining 2 methods, namely the Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) and the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP). This study supports 3 types of MSME categories based on the standards of the Indonesian Muslim Women Entrepreneurs' Organization (WPMI), namely Basic, Advance and Professional. The results of the application of the Super Decision application to the business environment cluster show that the financial support sub-cluster is a major factor in the productivity of MSMEs at the Basic and Advance levels. Meanwhile, at the Professional level, Regulations and Business Boundaries are the main factors. In the Human Resources cluster, the sub-cluster experience is the main factor at the Basic level. Meanwhile, the education sub-cluster is the main factor at the Advance and Professional levels. In the Production Resources cluster, the marketing distribution sub-cluster is the main factor at the Basic level. Meanwhile, the raw material management sub-cluster is a major factor.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has ruined the worldwide economy. The study intended to evaluate the pandemic effects on the Pakistan economy, openly emphasizing economic growth and poverty alleviation and the efforts take to control pandemic in the country. The investigation discovered that the pandemic affects the financial development of the country, and the measure taken by the official though their policy law and good governance are the good initiatives to decrease pandemic effect in the country.

Abstract

Health expenditure, child mortality and economic growth in Nigeria was examined using time series data covering the 1980 – 2020 sample periods. The Ordinary Least Square (OLS) technique was employed in analyzing the data. Empirical results showed a negative and insignificant impact of government health expenditure on under-five child mortality. It was also found that government capital expenditure had a negative and insignificant impact on under-five mortality, while government recurrent expenditure had a negative and significant impact on under-five mortality. Gross fixed capital formation had a positive and significant impact on under-five child mortality. It was also found that child mortality, government capital expenditure and domestic investment had a positive and significant impact on economic growth, while inflation had a negative and significant impact on economic growth. We recommend an increase in the yearly budgetary allocation to the health sector. However, the key to good outcomes is dependent not on the only mere increase in budgetary allocation but rather on implementing a public finance system that is good enough to extend and possibly link particular expenditure and revenue decisions and ensure appropriate usage of the allocated fund as transparently as possible.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is the validity of Okun’s Law for Jordan’s economy over the period 1990 to 2020. The relation between unemployment and economic growth was tested. It aims to analyze the impact of unemployment on economic growth and to propose recommendations for enhancing economic growth and reducing unemployment in Jordan since the Jordanian economic growth was slow before the Covid-19 outbreaks. The research employed ARDL Bound Cointegration method having validated it’s appropriateness withDickey-Fuller and Philips-Perron tests. The empirical results reveal the existence of Okun’s law in the Jordan economy, with a 1% decrease in Gross Domestic Product which is correlated with a 0.276% increase in the unemployment rate. Based on these empirical outcomes, several policy recommendations are formulated to increase the attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI)which is needed to minimize the country's high unemployment rate. Jordan's policymakers are urged to embrace both labor and growth-inducing measures.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the economic responsibility of PWD, based on the concepts of effectiveness and efficiency. Method: To determine and describe the economic responsibilities of the departments that make up the FOS in any corporation, the concepts of effectiveness and efficiency in accomplishing the tasks assigned to those departments were chosen, taking into account the criteria for evaluating the level of quality of effectiveness and efficiency. Result: Through the concepts of effectiveness and efficiency in completing tasks, this study was able to determine and describe the economic responsibility for PWD that was chosen to be the subject of this study, as follows: Providing the tangible and intangible needs for other departments included in the corporation’s FOS in a timely manner, with the specified specifications and at the lowest possible cost.Originality/Value: The idea of this study, which depends on the concepts of effectiveness and efficiency in performing tasks, can be adopted in defining and describing the economic responsibilities of the departments included in the FOS of any for-profit corporation. The economic responsibility of the departments lies in the extent of their commitment to the standards of effectiveness and efficiency in the performance of the tasks assigned to them. This study is an enrichment of the thought of CSR and it will be considered the starting point for many studies and research in this field. Keywords: Corporate Social Responsibility. Abstract

The interconnectivity of global economies has created undue uncertainties in severeal domestic economies. As a result, this paper specifically investigates the trans-Atlantic transmission of interest rate shocks with a view to identifying any macroeconomic concern for Nigeria using Annual time series data from World Bank’s Development Indicators 2020. To achieve the objectives of this study, various econometric tests were carried out on the variables such as the Augmented Dickey- Fuller (ADF) test, variance decomposition test as well as the impulse response test. The impulse response analysis of our VAR model shows that Nigerian variables respond significantly to shocks from foreign variables. The study therefore concluded that shocks in Nigeria are mostly from across the Atlantic. In line with this, the study recommended that monetary authorities in Nigeria should base their policy making on foreign shocks with a view to stabilizing the macroeconomic environment.

Abstract

Every year there are university graduates who should be able to improve the quality of human resources in Indonesia. The reality is that college graduates are more directed to the formal sector so when jobs in the legal industry do not grow, people do not try to create their careers. This research aims to analyse the effect of Higher Education Learning Support, Social Support, Income Expectations and Personality on Student Entrepreneurial Interests in Riau, Indonesia. The sample in this research is 400 students in Pekanbaru, Riau. The population in this study were final semester students (6,7,8) at a university in Pekanbaru, Riau. And by using research samples taken from as many as 400 people according to the sample criteria with solving calculations. The data analysis technique used tested the validity and reliability as well as the hypothesis as evidenced by multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that the variables in this study consisting of college support, social support, income expectations and personality significantly influence student interest in Riau. Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the Effect of Capital Intensity on Tax Avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange. The population in this study are all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2016-2018 period. While the samples in this study were chosen based on the purposive sampling method. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the published financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The results of this study are as follows: Capital Intensity affects tax avoidance.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of digital marketing strategy and product innovation on culinary business income in Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive verification method with a survey approach. The population in this study are culinary entrepreneurs in Surabaya whose number is unknown. Samples were taken by accidental sampling so that a total of 100 people were obtained based on the Slovin method. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS version 26 and data analysis through several tests, namely: validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and coefficient of determination test. The results of this research show that  digital marketing strategies and product innovation have a positive and significant effect on culinary business income in Surabaya.
