Al Mishbah Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi is an academic peer-reviewed journal that publishes the latest issues in the field of dawah and communication, including areas of dawah discourse, such as Islamic counseling and the development of Islamic societies. Abstract

Harmony is the common goal of both government and religious adherents in Palu which is plural in terms of ethnic group and religion. As it is commonly known that plurality is not only a symbol of strength in society but also a source of conflict. Based on this, this paper is to examine the effectiveness of policy on religious harmony in Palu by portraying the condition of religious harmony in society and analyzing the role of the Inter-Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) in Palu. It is concluded that, first, harmony in Palu is achieved due to piety of religious adherents. Second, the role of the Inter-Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) in Palu is still weak. This is caused by the fact that the program is not yet rightly implemented due to the lack of financial support and the organizers do not know exactly their role and task. Third, the Inter-Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) in Palu do not properly perform its task in driving religious harmony in society.

Abstract

One of the Javanese ethnic identities present in Makassar is called Mas for male Javanese. This nickname has been going on for a long time and it is not yet known exactly when it began, with a span of time, then the identity of Mas has become the property of Javanese men in Sulawesi, especially Makassar. The two ethnic groups in Makassar, namely; ethnic outside of Java and Javanese have the same usage of Mas, namely; is a greeting to pay respect to others and as a door of intimacy to people who have not known their identity, especially for traders, Mas greetings are common, but the problem is the application and generalization of Javanese ethnic in Makassar

Abstract

Nahdlatul 'Ulama (the Renaissance of Ulama) is one of the big Islamic organisations in Indonesia, which has shown its ability to guide Muslim community to get out from difficult situation in national life. However, it needs strong framework of thought which comes from living tradition in the members of NU. As an religious organisation, NU determined political goals that are based on the doctrine of Ahlus Sunnah wa/ Jama'ah, decreed in basis for the NU organization platform in In its efforts in spreading da'wah, NU has many activities that are related to Islamic da'wah, which include educational institution, pesantren, mosque and politics. This is a for of an organized da'wah.

Abstract

This paper deals with the role of information technology in da'wa acivities. It concludes that because of the spread of Internet, online da'wa as a kind of new model of Islamic preaching emerges. This kind of da'wa focused on the socialization that includes process of al-ta'aruf (acquaintance) and al-ta'aluf (harmony) with the target of object of Islamic preaching ( al-mad' u). This is carried out based on the three levels of online interaction, which includes spreading, participation and mobilization.

Abstract

Having a religion is one of the human natural tendencies. This natural tendency will grow and develop when this is fostered continously irrespective of time, age, race, sex and gender roles. Da'wah is regarded as an instrument to call people and foster them continously, particularly Muslim community, in order to develop such a human natural tendency. Since the package of da'wah is important to attract people, Majelis Taklim or Islamic study group as society based-organization is an alternative solution to that purpose. With continous fostering, society will have religious behaviour and good attitude which represents an ethics to Allah, people and environment.

Abstract

Sundanese as the second largest ethnic group after Java, known as a tribe who does not like to migrate, comfortable natural conditions and the stigma of "kurung batokeun" may be one of the reasons why Sundanese do not like to wander. However, as the development, many Sundanese tribes who do unity, not only wander within the country but wander throughout the world, so that the Sundanese known not to wander began to break. One of the destinations to wander the Sundanese tribe is Ternate City of North Maluku. The research purposse to determine social interaction and communication patterns among fellow immigrants from the Sundanese who are members of the Paguyuban Pasundan, because they want to see a culture of communication in depth, this study uses qualitative ethnographic communication research. The conclusions resulting from this research (1) Social interaction between Sundanese tribes in the Paguyuban Pasundan is conducted intensively, a feeling of equality and interaction is carried out very well. (2) The pattern of communication among Sundanese tribes who are members of the Paguyuban Pasundan, is easy to open, without obstacles, is equivalent to quality and very significant good communication

Abstract

After the Prophet Muhammad passed away, Islamic propagation was carried out the Prophet’s companions, such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali, known as Khulafa’ Rashidin (rightly guided caliphs). Their mission of da’wah was never deviated from the teachings of the Prophet, but carried out with different practices. Abu Bakr, for example, paid special attention to the spread of true way of life. Because of his efforts, most Arabs converted to Islam. After Abu Bakr’s caliphate, Umar managed Islamic government and effective administration. At Uthman’s period, he extinguished rebellion that occurred in some areas, and expanded the reign of Islam that halted in the caliphate of Umar. In addition, Uthman’s spectacular effort is the collection and writing of the Quran, later known as the Ottoman Manuscripts. In his period, Ali applied the principle of equality among Muslims, while a political aspect, he was very decisive in supervising his staffs and officials (local authorities).

Abstract

Happy family is a dream for every Muslim. This kind of family is often associated with harmonious and peaceful family. Islam as a religion brings perfect teachings which contain instructions that guide individuals to be good, civilized, and having good quality. To achieve this, continuous and comprehensive da’wah efforts are needed. Preaching is a very noble task because it leads to the goal of reaching the divine blessing, as performed by the Masturat group in their da’wah activities in Palu. This da’wah activities focused on the effort to restore women to their nature in the household, whose its goal is to build happy family.

Abstract

The objectives of the article are to identify the background of the emergence of empowerment in the community in the tourist area of Tarusan Kamang and the forms of creative economy-based community empowerment in the tourist area of Tarusan Kamang. The method used is a qualitative method with a type of descriptive research that describes the circumstances that occur in the field about creative economy-based community empowerment in the Kamang Tarusan tourism area, which is experienced by research subjects. The source of data from this study is the community that carries out community-based creative economic empowerment and the government of Jorong Halalang and the data obtained from the documents. While data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study reveal that creative economy-based community empowerment in the Kamang Tarusan tourism area are: (1) The background of the emergence of community empowerment in the Kamang Tarusan tourism area is caused by three factors: low economic conditions, the presence of tourist areas, and the participation of migrants. (2) Forms of community empowerment based on the creative economy, namely: providing food and resting places, providing crossing equipment, displaying performing arts, and utilizing lake products.

Abstract

Before the birth of the state of Isreael, the Jewish nation was scattered in several countries, particularly in Europe and America. They are in a state of being suppressed, deprivated of political rights, suffering from expulsion and massacre. This condition encourages them to seek a unity. They communicate throuh promoting the issues of nationality and human rights. Thet communicate with the leaders of western countries. For internal consolidation, the Jews utilize religious slogans which they believe. From this emerge a movement called "Zionism", an international religioi-political movement that is successful in gathering the Jews who are scattered in teh world for the sake of the establishment of Jews state in Palestine which is believe as "the promised land of God". Finally, the Jews struggled to carry out diplomatic and political lobbying to officially become a member of the United Nations in 1949. This realitiy requires the Islamic preaching shoul formulate models and methods in orde that the mission which is based on the principle of "mercy to all mankinds" can be really realized and is able to determine the mocdel of world civilization.
