Abstract

The research studied the robust regression estimation-S on Tukey-Bisquare and Welsch weighting function. Due to the data contains outliers, we therefore used robust regression to handle outliers. The purpose is to find the best model between the Tukey Bisquare or Welsch. The mean square error (MSE) and adjusted is then used. The simulation data is a human development index (HDI) in Papua in 2021. The result showed that the robust regression model on the S-estimation between Tukey Bisquare and Welsch are similar (close). However, the adjusted weighting function Welsch is greater than the Tukey Bisquare, and the MSE of the Welsch is smaller than the Tukey Bisquare, so we recommended the robust S-estimation Welsch is a little better.

Abstract

Poklahsar Sinar Pagi still performs manual calculations for prices and estimates the number of products produced. This allows the profits obtained are not maximized. Optimization is needed, namely determining the minimum production cost capital or obtaining maximum profit with limited available capacity in order to achieve optimal results. To achieve this optimization, an appropriate method is needed. The simplex method is one of the optimization methods. The simplex method is an iteration with the same calculation steps repeated many times before finding the optimum solution. In solving problems using the simplex method, the steps that must be taken are to determine the decision variables, the objective function, and the constraints. Poklahsar Sinar Pagi problem is solved with the simplex method by using POM QM software for windows V5 to find the optimal solution.

Abstract

This paper discusses Monitoring Analytics Tools (MAT) to analyze the management quality of the Mathematics Study Program Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Study program management based on Monitoring Analytics Tools (MAT) is one of strategy for building a study program management system based on data-driven and automated analytics. This method is handy in improving the quality of study programs so that they are more measurable, targeted, effective, and efficient in providing excellent services and developments. Monitoring Analytics Tools (MAT) in this study focused on two management quality developments of the study program, namely Monitoring Analytics Tools (MAT) for Lecturer Quality Development in the Learning Process through a Lecturer Evaluation Survey by Students and Monitoring Analytics Tools (MAT) for the Graduate Development through Graduate User Surveys. The results show that the responsiveness dimension (punctuality in learning activities) has the lowest satisfaction index for Lecturer Quality Development. Meanwhile, for the quality of graduates, the dimensions of specific skills (presentation and writing report skills) are the lowest satisfaction index.

Abstract

Fluid is a substance that flows because of the pressure. Based on their ability to resisting pressure, compressible fluid is one of the fluid which volume can be compressed so they have a constant density. The basic equation of fluid is Navier Stokes equation system that have a non linear partial differential form. Nevertheless, to obtain the solution of non linear partial differential problem is not easy. Therefore, Navier Stokes equation system are linearized into Stokes equation system. In this research, we investigate the solution of the Stokes equation system by partial Fourier transform for compressible fluid with surface tension in half-space.

Abstract

According to the Student Status data of FMIPA UNSOED, from 190 students of the Mathematics Department 2015-2017, there were only 22 students who graduated no more than 4 years (for 8 semesters). This study aims to determine the factors that influence the completion of the final project of the 2015-2017 UNSOED Mathematics Department students. This study uses primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to students of the Department of Mathematics class 2015-2017 UNSOED and secondary data obtained from Bapendik FMIPA UNSOED. The method used in this research is factor analysis with 10 independent variables. The results showed that there were 3 factors that influenced the completion of the final project of the 2015-2017 UNSOED Mathematics Department students. The first factor is the student's persistence factor, the second is the supervisor's factor, and the third is the student's ability factor.

Abstract

One of the abilities that the student must have to is problem-solving. Problem-solving is one of the activities in mathematics learning that train the student to think critically, logically, and systematically. Through these activities, students have the readiness to solve their problems in the future. This study aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving by students in grade eight. The type of research is qualitative descriptively with three subjects from grade eight middle school in Bulukumba. The indicator used to measure problem-solving ability is based on Polya's theory. To collect data, it was using problem-solving tests and interviews. The data analysis was using Miles and Huberman's theory. The result of the study shows the student's ability at a high level was able to meet all indicators, and the lower only got two or three of four.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri analitik pada topik persamaan garis menggunakan Newman Error Analysis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 11 orang mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika angkatan 2021 semester 2 pada salah satu universitas di Bandung. Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui tes tertulis, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data hasil tes tertulis mahasiswa dianalisis menggunakan teori kesalahan Newman dan dilengkapi dengan data dokumentasi dan hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan yang paling sering terjadi adalah procces skill error, comprehention error, dan encoding error. Secara umum hal tersebut disebabkan oleh kurangnya ketelitian mahasiswa memahami soal dan mengoperasikan perhitungan, tidak paham konsep yang harus digunakan, dan tidak menuliskan kembali jawaban dari permasalahan soal tersebut.

Abstract

The oscillator is an electronic circuit that is widely used in electronic devices. One of the mathematical models that describe the oscillator problem is the conservative nonlinear oscillator equation. In this study, the conservative nonlinear oscillator equation is discussed in the form of where and are odd functions. The purpose of this study is to find a solution to the conservative nonlinear oscillator equation and to know the simulation of the obtained solution. The method used to find the solution to the equation is the homotopy perturbation method which is a combination of the homotopy and perturbation methods. The search for a solution to the conservative nonlinear oscillator equation using the homotopy perturbation method is also modified by the Lindstedt-Poincare method to deal with secular terms. The simulation results show that the greater the value of , the smaller the angular frequency produced and the fewer waves formed.
