Abstract

The aim of this study to know the influence of divergent thinking ability and self reliance learning towards students learning results. This is an ex-post facto research, the samples was 102 students from ninth class SMPN 24 Makassar. The instruments was divergent thinking skills test, koesioner self reliance learning, and test of student’s mathematical learning results. The results of a descriptive analysis showed that the ability to think divergent students in middle category with average score 55.91, standard deviation 10.623 of the 100 ideal score with percentage 42.42%. The self reliance of learning students in the high category with average score 60.03, standard deviation 6.528 of the 80 ideal score with percentage 74.2%. The results of students learning in the good categorized with average score 80.77, standard deviation 6.416 of the 100 ideal score with percentage 53%. The result of inferential analysis shows that the divergent thinking ability positively and significantly affects the learning results of 0.183. Self reliance learning also positively and significantly affect the learning results of 0.101. The results of inferential show that divergent thinking ability and self reliance learning simultaneously influence the results of mathematics learning students with regression equation Y=70,119+0,009X1+0,181X2. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh kemampuan berpikir divergen dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian ex-post facto, dengan mengambil sampel dari siswa kelas IX SMPN 24 Makassar sebanyak 102 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir divergen, kuesioner kemandirian belajar dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa dikategorikan sedang dengan skor rata-rata 55,91 dan standar deviasi 10,623 dari skor ideal 100 dengan persentase 42,42%. Kemandirian belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata 60,03 dan standar deviasi 6,528 dari skor ideal 80 dengan persentase 74,2%. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa dikategorikan baik dengan skor rata-rata 80,77 dan standar deviasi 6,416 dari skor ideal 100 dengan persentase 53%. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir divergen terhadap hasil belajar matematika sebesar 0,183, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika sebesar 0,101, serta terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara simultan antara kemampuan berpikir divergen dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika persamaan regresi Y = 70,119 + 0,009X1 + 0,181X2

Abstract

The aims of this study to know the effectiveness of think pair share cooperative model toward the mathematics learning outcomes for students in class VIIIB SMPN 3 Sungguminasa. This research was a pre-experimental research, the design was anone group pretest-posttest which involved in one class during 5 meetings. The learning achievement test, student activity observation, and student questionnaire responses were applied for collecting data.The data analyzed by descriptive and inferensial technique.The results showed that the average score of learning outcomes before being taught mathematics learning with the application of think pair share cooperative model was 37.10 with standard deviation 12,169, which showed that completeness classically was not achieved, while the average score the average mathematics learning outcomes of students after being taught mathematics learning with the application of the think pair share cooperative model was 84.17 with standard deviation 67.57 having achieved classical completeness with a normalized gain value of 0.73 being in the high category. Student activities in the active category where the average percentage 82.49%. Student positive responses showedthe average percentage was 94.29%. Based on these results it can be concluded that mathematics learning through the application of think pair share cooperative model in class VIIB SMPN 3 Sungguminasaapplied effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of treatment on student learning outcomes in the algebraic structure course at the Department of Mathematics Education of the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar in virtual learning through the online learning system (SPADA). This study is a quasi-experimental design with a post-test-only control group whose results were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis (mann whitney test). The population is the class of 2019 who is programming an algebraic structure course consisting of 3 classes, then a sample consisting of 2 classes was selected, namely, one experimental class taught through SPADA, and one control class taught in addition to using SPADA, namely, zoom meeting, google meet, email, and whatsApp groups. The instrument used is a test of student learning outcomes. The results obtained are that the average learning outcomes of students who are taught through SPADA are higher than the average learning outcomes of students who are taught other than through SPADA, but the results of the Mann Whitney test show that there is no significant difference from the learning outcomes of students who have been taught through SPADA or other than SPADA. Researchers suggest that providing virtual learning not only relies on one learning media but also on the synergy between one media and another, which will further optimize virtual learning.

Abstract

This study describes students' ability to solve HOTS problems according to their self-confidence level in a grade 8 class at a junior high school in Pallangga. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research procedure includes the preparation, implementation, and analysis stages of research results. The subjects in the study were 3 grade 8 students at SMP Negeri 5 in the district of Pallangga. The subjects were selected by giving a questionnaire to all grade 8 students to select students who had high self-confidence, moderate self-confidence, and low self-confidence. The research refers to the four stages of the ability to solve mathematical problems based on Polya's steps, namely: understanding the problem, planning problem-solving strategies, carrying out calculations, and evaluating the results of problem-solving. The research instrument was a self-confidence questionnaire, an ability test to solve HOTS math problems based on Polya's steps, and interview guidelines. The results showed that there were differences in the ability to solve mathematical HOTS questions based on Polya's steps by the three selected subjects. The results showed that subjects with high self-confidence and moderate self-confidence were able to meet the indicators of understanding the problem, while subjects with low self-confidence were unable to meet the indicators of understanding the problem. At the stage of planning a problem-solving strategy, subjects with high self-confidence and moderate self-confidence were able to meet the indicators, while subjects with low self-confidence were unable to meet the indicators. At the stage of carrying out calculations, subjects with high self-confidence were able to meet the indicators, while subjects with moderate self-confidence and low self-confidence were unable to meet the indicators. And at the stage of re-examining the results of problem-solving, subjects with high self-confidence were able to meet the indicators, while subjects with moderate self-confidence and low self-confidence were unable to meet the indicator.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah matematika soal HOTS ditinjau dari kepercayaan diri pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Pallangga. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Prosedur penelitian meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan dan tahap analisis hasil penelitian. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 3 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Pallangga. Subjek dipilih dengan memberikan angket kepada seluruh siswa kelas VIII untuk memilih siswa yang memiliki kepercayaan diri tinggi, kepercayaan diri sedang, dan kepercayaan diri rendah. Penelitian mengacu pada empat tahap kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah matematika berdasarkan langkah Polya yaitu: memahami masalah, merencanakan strategi pemecahan masalah, melaksanakan perhitungan, dan memeriksa kembali hasil penyelesaian masalah. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket kepercayaan diri, tes kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah matematika soal HOTS berdasarkan langkah Polya, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah matematika soal HOTS berdasarkan langkah Polya oleh ketiga subjek yang dipilih. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa subjek dengan kepercayaan diri tinggi dan kepercayaan diri sedang mampu memenuhi indikator memahami masalah, sementara subjek dengan kepercayaan diri rendah tidak mampu memenuhi indikator memahami masalah. Pada tahap  merencanakan strategi pemecahan masalah, subjek dengan kepercayaan diri tinggi dan kepercayaan diri sedang mampu memenuhi indikator, sementara subjek dengan kepercayaan diri rendah tidak mampu memenuhi indikator. Pada tahap melaksanakan perhitugan, subjek dengan kepercayaan diri tinggi mampu memenuhi indikator, sementara subjek dengan kepercayaan diri sedang dan kepercayaan diri rendah tidak mampu memenuhi indikator. Dan pada tahap memeriksa kembali hasil penyelesaian masalah, subjek dengan kepercayaan diri tinggi mampu memenuhi indikator, sementara subjek dengan kepercayaan diri sedang dan kepercayaan diri rendah tidak mampu memenuhi indikator.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the activities, responses, and student learning outcomes with multilevel instruction learning. Multilevel instruction assignment learning strategy is a selling system adoption from multi-level marketing strategy with special characteristics that there are students in the first level and second level downlines and a teacher as an upline. Type of research is quasi-experimental by comparing two experimental groups. Experimental group one was given the STAD model with multilevel instruction, and the other group was given regular STAD model. The research instruments used were student activity observation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning outcomes test. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The result indicates that both of them are effective to be applied in mathematics learning, but inferentially the outcomes of the experiment group one were higher than the experiment group two.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan metode jarimatika dan perkalian cepat dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 4 Watampone yang dilaksanakan selama satu jam pelajaran. Dari hasil kegiatan pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan disimpulkan bahwa pada kegiatan pelatihan siswa sangat antusias dan memberikan respon yang positif dalam mengikuti kegiatan tersebut. Siswa merasa sangat terbantu dengan penggunaan metode jarimatika dalam perhitungan cepat yang tadinya hanya mengandalkan hafalan. Pada proses pelaksanaan pengabdian terlihat siswa sangat aktif dalam mempraktekkan metode jarimatika dan dengan cepat mampu memahami metode perhitungan yang diberikan. Dengan pelatihan ini dapat merubah pandangan siswa mengenai matematika dengan perhitungan yang sulit menjadi matematika itu mudah dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

This workshop on using the Microsoft teams application aims to help teachers at school Unismuh Junior High School in Makassar and Unismuh Senior High School in Makassar can further optimize learning virtual during the pandemic and after the pandemic, so that not only the professional competence of teachers in the IT field can increase but can also motivate students to be more motivated to improve their learning achievements, in addition to the features of Microsoft teams, project-based learning during this period pandemic and after the pandemic can be done more interactively. The method used in this implementation is training as well as mentoring, where the steps taken are (1) providing material about Microsoft development and introduction to Microsoft teams features using lecture and quiz methods, (2) training on the use of Microsoft teams in providing learning materials and assignments to students, and (3) mentoring and discussions with resource persons about the use of Microsoft Teams in the subjects taught by each teacher.

Abstract

This research is a pre-experimental study involving an experimental class which aims to determine the effectiveness of learning through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach in learning mathematics in class VII students of Al Hikmah Integrated Islamic Middle School, Pangkep Regency, 2021/2022 academic year. While the effectiveness of learning is viewed from three aspects, namely: the implementation of learning, classical learning completeness, student activity, and student responses. A learning is said to be effective if at least three of the four aspects above are met, provided that aspects of student activity and classical learning mastery are met. Student scores after learning mathematics through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach have achieved classical mastery. The average positive student activity is 85.7% and 12.5% negative, this indicates that student activity in learning mathematics through the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can be said to be active. Student responses to learning the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can be said to be in accordance with the standards set, namely exceeding 75% of students who gave a positive response. Based on the results of descriptive and inferential analysis, it shows that student learning outcomes before learning the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach are smaller than student learning outcomes after learning the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, thus learning mathematics through the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach is effectively used on the subject of Algebra in class students VII Al Hikmah Integrated Islamic Middle School, Pangkep Regency.

Abstract

Limit fungsi merupakan salah satu konsep dalam matematika yang memerlukan perhatian khusus. Terdapat banyak konsep matematika yang memerlukan pemahaman konsep limit dengan baik. Konsep limit fungsi merupakan materi yang akan diajarkan oleh calon guru matematika kepada siswa di kelas 11, sehingga perlu bagi calon guru matematika untuk menguasai konsep tersebut. Namun, ditemukan masih terdapat calon guru matematika yang belum menguasai konsep tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyelesaikan soal limit fungsi dan penyebabnya. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu universitas di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dengan 3 subjek yang berada di semester 4 jenjang S1 prodi pendidikan matematika. Analisis yang dilakukan diadaptasi dari langkah-langkah analisis kesalahan oleh Medova (2019). Hasil yang ditemukan adalah kesalahan yang cenderung dilakukan oleh mahasiswa adalah kesalahan dalam membuat sketsa grafik fungsi dan kesalahan dalam memvisualisasikan limit fungsi. Kesalahan dalam membuat sketsa grafik fungsi tersebut dapat ditemukan saat mahasiswa tidak mampu mensketsa grafik fungsi yang terdapat suatu titik tidak terdefinisi dalam domainnya. Adapun kesalahan dalam memvisualisasikan limit fungsi terlihat saat mahasiswa tidak mampu menunjukkan ketiadaan limit di suatu titik. Kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut disebabkan karena subjek yang terpilih belum memahami dengan baik konsep fungsi dan konsep limit fungsi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the ability to solve mathematical problems in terms of the learning interest of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 18 Selayar Islands. The type of research used is descriptive-qualitative. The research subjects consisted of 3 students of class VIII B SMP Negeri 18 Selayar Islands which consisted of 1 student with high learning interest, 1 student with moderate learning interest, and 1 student with low learning interest. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, mathematical problem solving ability tests, and interviews. The questions used to measure mathematical problem solving skills are in the form of essay questions totaling 2 numbers with a system of two-variable linear equations. The results of tests and interviews were analyzed based on indicators of mathematical problem solving ability, namely understanding problems, planning solutions, solving problems according to plan, and re-examining procedures and settlement results. good, at the stage of solving the problem according to the plan the subject is able to solve the problem well, and is able to re-examine the answer. returning to the procedure and the results of the completion of the subject did not re-examine the answer. Subjects with low learning interest understood the problem well, but were at the stage of planning the solution, solving the problem according to plan, and re-examining the procedure and the results of the investigation. settlement has not been fulfilled.
