Abstract

Indonesia has 34 Provinces with a geographical position at the meeting zone of the Eurasian, Indo-Australian, Pacific and Philippine slab, this makes Indonesia vulnerable to the threat of geological disasters. Other disaster threats arise due to climate change and people's bad behavior towards the environment which has an impact on natural and environmental damage. Based on data natural disasters and their impacts over the last five years, a study was conducted to find province clusters that fall into disaster-prone criteria, the number of disaster victims and the impact on building damage caused. The research was conducted using rapidminer tools with the K-Means Clustering algorithm and optimization using the Davies Bouldin Index (DBI). The method used is collecting datasets, preprocessing data, modeling and analyzing DBI. The results, found that the cluster of disaster-prone provinces was East Java, followed by Central Java and West Java. The large number of disaster victims are the provinces of Lampung and West Nusa Tenggara. The biggest impact of damage buildings is the Province of West Nusa Tenggara

Abstract

AbstractThe issue of global warming and its impact on the environment requires urgent consideration from the profession of architecture. One of the ideas for using the notion of ecology as an application and reaction to the issue of environmental harm is to create tourism destination amenities in the form of resorts in coastal areas. The issue that planners face is how to keep the resort building's architecture in keeping with the site's culture. The implementation of the concept of architectural ecology was employed in the design of the resort building on Kubu beach, based on the existing challenges. The implementation is carried out by attempting to keep the place cultivated as a green space. The Resort on Kubu Beach, which is one of Kotawaringin Regency's green space areas (GSA), incorporates the notion of architectural ecology into its design, both in terms of outdoor space and residential buildings and facilities. One of the design solutions is to make use of the natural environment while still providing the modern amenities that today's society requires. Keywords: site culture resort, architecture ecology

Abstract

The spread of COVID-19 cases is taking place in a very fast time so that it has an impact on all sectors. One of the sectors affected is educational institutions. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 cases, all learning processes are carried out with an online learning system. Online learning causes an increase in sitting activities rather than standing activities, specially activity in front of a smartphone or laptop. Sitting activities that last for a long period of time can result in ergonomic risks. The purpose of the study was to analyze posture using the RULA method. Research was conducted on students of three study programs, namely Industrial Engineering, DIV-Health Promotion and Management with respondents 53 people. This study was conducted with a survey to see the posture of students when attending online lectures. From the results of the study obtained that the posture of students with RULA worksheet is in the range of 4 to 7. For rula score is mostly at a score of 6 as many as 24 students (45.28%). For RULA scores with scores of 5 and 7 as many as 10 people (18.86%). And rula score at a value of 4 as many as 9 people (16.98%).

Abstract

The application of information technology is one of the characteristics of smart cities that are used to provide services for their citizens. This application does not only change what previously did not use information technology to use information technology but the uses of software that is specifically used to serve the community so that the service process becomes fast as is done in the Regional Government RAD (Pemda) of Yogyakarta City. Before using a special application, dissemination services were performed using Microsoft Excel which can only be accessed on a computer. The software for information dissemination was tested by distributing questionnaires with questions grouped on Service quality improvement for information dissemination and User satisfaction. The results were processed and analyzed using the correlation method. The result showed a value of sig.(2-tailed) is 0,000, the Correlation Coefficient of 0,400, so it can be concluded that the relationship between improving service quality for information dissemination on RAD and user satisfaction is significant, strong enough, and unidirectional.

Abstract

Mangga Dua Store is a shop that is engaged in selling clothes, pants, and other products. In processing salary data, Mangga Dua Store employees only process data in the form of text files in Microsoft Excel without any file protection which causes misuse of data by unauthorized people. To solve this problem, data protection is needed using a method to encrypt employee salary data. In a study conducted to protect employee salary data using the AES 128 Cipher Method. This research resulted in a Web-Based Payroll Data Security Application Using the AES 128 Cipher Method by performing encryption and decryption to protect employee salary data. Based on the results of research and discussions that have been carried out, it shows that with the Data Security Application Using the Aes Cipher Method 128 employee salary data at the Mangga Dua Store can be encrypted and decrypted. So that it can avoid any misuse or manipulation of data that can be done by unauthorized people which can result in losses to the Mangga Dua Store.

Abstract

Selection of the right major and according to ability is one way for students to be able to complete their studies at college. Error choosing majors is a problem that is often experienced by students. Many students are confused and careless in choosing a major, there are also those who choose a major based on the wishes of their parents or following a friend, so that during the lecture process there are many obstacles to achieving a bachelor's degree, even having to take education until the end of the study period, Multi Criteria Decision Making is one way that can be used to help recommend prospective students based on their abilities. The program is made specifically for Android-based Smartphones, so that prospective students can try to choose based on values that match the criteria determined by the desired major without having to feel afraid or embarrassed to know whether to be accepted into the department or not. So with the creation of this system, it is expected to be able to provide recommendations to prospective students in choosing majors that are in accordance with their academic abilities and effective study time.

Abstract

By the fast development of society needs, society service facility to accommodate those need is also developing, mixed use building is a building which be able to society activities, with the building façade as the identity of each function within, which present the building image. Façade is front appearance or outside building which reflect the building image with aesthetic element, resulting on the meaning of the mixed use building function. The uneven appearance of the building can cause the low quality of building’s visual character. The research method uses descriptive research methods, which analyze visual character on mixed use building, which include three different function. On those three building characteristic function, unity character on building visual character is taken, so that it can be used as standard design criterion in order to another new building can be built fairly with the existing building which then strengthen the zone identity. The existence of unity on the visual character on those three buildings with entrance, opening, ornament and roof components, and the other character consist of symmetric rhythm, geometry, proportion scale, color and material composition.

Abstract

Environmental permits from hospital activities must meet good solid and liquid waste management. Hospital waste management is closely related to patients' infectious status, so it is dangerous and toxic. One that can be used as a reference is a study of the construction of Hospital X in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to evaluate waste management for environmental permits from the activities of Hospital X. This study was conducted using field observation techniques. Wastewater that is treated from an activity produced in health care facilities consists of domestic wastewater, clinical wastewater, laboratory wastewater, etc. The WWTP planning design that several health care facilities have widely used has an aerobic biofilter system that requires oxygen assistance. Therefore, in optimizing the operation and maintenance functions of the wastewater treatment system, it is necessary to have an exceptional understanding from the WWTP operator as the basis for the WWTP treatment planning process. Solid waste from hospital activities is estimated to cause health problems for living things and the risk of environmental pollution. B3 waste can come from medical waste, used batteries and lamps, expired medicines, used ink storage containers, leftover cleaning packages, and others.

Abstract

In this paper, we present a new hybrid conjugate gradient strategy that is both efficient and effective for solving unconstrained optimization problems. The parameter is derived from a convex combination of the and the conjugate gradient methods. We demonstrated that this strategy is globally convergent under strong Wolfe line search conditions, and that the recommended hybrid CG method is capable of creating a descending search direction at each iteration. Numerical results are presented in this study, demonstrating that the proposed technique is both efficient and promising.
