Abstract

Abstract The aimed of this research was to find out the effect of reward toward students’ motivation in Learning English structure at Kampung Inggris Rafflesia Rejang Lebong. It created in quantitative design as a quasi- experimental research. The population of this research was all senior high school graders (they were three classes) and two classes as the sample, the E1 as control class and E3 as experimental class. The techniques of data collecting were pre-test and post-test and supported by questionnaire. The results were taken from post-test that consist of five aspects, they were total score, highest score, lowest score, mean score, and standard deviation. Based on the final result of the five aspects above, the researchers found that reward gave effect for the students’ motivation in learning English structure. It was also could be seen from the results of questionnaire, they felt enjoy, fun and enthusiasm during the teaching-learning were held.

Abstract

المل ّخص طریقة الترجمة الحرفیة في فھم النصوص العربیة مھمة جدا وخاصة لكشف نظام اللغتین, و تعریف الشبھ والاختلاف عنھما. والھدف من ھذا البحث ھو أن یعبّر عن طریقة الترجمة الحرفیة في فھم النصوص العربیة من خلال ھدف الطریقة، والمزایا، والنقائص. والنتائج في ھذا البحث ھي أن ھذه الطریقة الترجمة الحرفیة في فھم النصوص العربیة لھا المزایا والنقائص. وأما المزایا فھي تسھل المترجم لفھم النصوص العربیة; لأن طریقة الترجمة الحرفیة استبدال كلمة بكلمة أخرى مقابلة في لغة ثانیة. وتراعي في النصوص محاكة الأصل في عدد كلماتھا ونظمھا وترتیبھا. وتخفئ المعنى المراد من الأصل بسبب اختلاف اللغتین وطبیعتھا في استعمال الكلام للمعاني المرادة. والنقائص منھا تؤدي إلى تغییر المعني وتجریدھا; لأن كل اللغة لھا خصائص لا یمكن ترجمتھا. وتكون المعنى مستحیلا لعدم تشابھ البنیة اللغویة. وتظل ناقصة وسیئة للغایة وقد تكون سببا في تخریب اللغة وافسادھا.

Abstract

Abstract The existence of Nahwu's knowledge among other disciplines-Kalam Science, Fiqh, Tasawuf, Tafsir, and Hadith-is one of the traditional knowledge of Arabic (al-'um an- naqliyyah) which still has a significant contribution in Islamic studies. Ibn Khaldun in his al-Muqaddimah viewed the nahwu knowledge as an integral part that can not be separated in the progress of traditional sciences (al-'umul an-naqliyyah), because of the success and truth of the study of the origin of the sciences (al-'ulum an- naqliyyah). The Middle East with a wealth of knowledge and knowledge, especially in linguistics, has produced many thinkers and linguists, especially in the development of Arabic language science. Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) sejauh mana transformasi film Sense and Sensibility karya Jane Austen merefleksikan kondisi sosial dan budaya masyarakat pada zamannya; dan (2) bagaimana penerimaan masyarakat (penonton) terhadap film ini. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif (strukturalisme) dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) gambaran masyarakat Inggris pada tahun 1792-1797 tidak berbeda jauh dengan gambaran yang disuguhan film Sense and Sensibility, yaitu penerapan tradisi primogeniture. Tradidi ini memicu kaum laki-laki dan perempuan bersifat materialistis sehingga kualitas kebaikan yang dimiliki seseorang tidak akan menjadi pertimbangan yang baik pula dalam menemukan pasangan hidup karena kebiasaan masyarakat di sana menganggap uang, kedudukan, dan status sosial sebagai pertimbangan terpenting dalam mencari pasangan hidup; (2) film Sense and Sensibility memperoleh sambutan hangat oleh apresiator dari berbagai negara secara lugas sehingga dapat memberikan gambaran yang memadai mengenai ‘popularitas’ Sense and Sensibility sebagai film.

القواعد التى تحكم علاقات الافرد قد تكون على شكل عادات وتقالید واعرف یخضع لھا الجمیع . وقد تكون على شكل أوامرونواھى تصدر من شخص مطاع كرئیس الدولة أو الملك, وقد تكون على شكل أوامر تصدرھا ھیئة خولھا المجتمع حق اصدارھا , وھذا النوع بمختلف أشكالھا یصدره البشر فھو قانون وضعى , وھناك قوانین لا یكون مصدرھا البشر , بل خالق البشر , وھذه ھي الشرائع السماویة , وقد عرف البشر ھذین النوعین من الشرائع , الشرائع الوضعیة , والشرائع السماویة وھيمنوضعاللهووحیھ .

Abstract

The study was intended to explore the experiences of the teachers in teaching speaking to non-English department students using instructional scaffolding. The instructional scaffolding was perceived to enhance students’ approximation to control spoken and written text. The data were gained from in-depth interviews with three teachers who teach non-English Department students who join in Kampung Inggris Rafflessia (KIR) Rejang Lebong Course. To address the goal, there were two research questions formulated in this study; 1) What do teachers think about teaching speaking using instructional scaffolding? and 2) How do teachers implement instructional scaffolding in speaking class? The 30-minute interview was conducted twice with open-ended questions. Then, the gathered data were analyzed qualitatively using phenomenological method. Teachers’ instructional scaffolding provided many chances for the students to be active in the learning process. By using the scaffolding, the teachers perceived that the learning process becomes more effective. The study also concludes by offering suggestions for improving the teaching method and identifying avenues for further research.
