Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is the first health indicator in determining the health status of children. RISKESDAS 2018 data for the Mandailing Natal area in the Proportion of monitoring growth in the last 12 months in children 0-59 months by Regency/City in North Sumatra province, namely those who weigh 231 people (47.96%) with a frequency of < 8 times 70 ,70%, > 8 times 22.20%, and body length/height was measured with a frequency of 1 time 14% and > 2 times 76.32%. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The sampling technique of this research is a total sampling of 35 people. Research results, Chi-Square test analysis is known that the significant value of p value is 0.027. Because the p-value is smaller than 0.05 (0.027 <0.05) then Ha is accepted so that in this study there is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers with growth and development of toddlers at the Novi Midwife Clinic in 2020. These results prove that mothers who have Good knowledge tends to have an accepting and positive attitude towards toddler growth and development. It is hoped that research sites, institutions, respondents and further researchers will pay attention to the growth and development of toddlers, so that they can achieve optimal results. Abstract

Family Planning Extension (PKB) performance in the field has not been optimal, there are many obstacles in carrying out tasks in the field, where the Covid 19 pandemic condition is difficult for field officers to go directly to the community, limitations to socializing and meeting the community directly as well as limitations in getting information through information technology, there are people lack of technology mastery and even information network problems and the limitations of PKB in using IT-based information technology. Active family planning participants in Riau Province have fluctuated in the last three years. The type of research is mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative), the sample obtained is 76 people (total sampling), 25 informants are opened. The research instruments were questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using univariate and triangulated data. The results showed that the performance of PKB was improved from good competence (70.3%), high motivation (50%), good communication (78.4%), good work discipline (64.9%), good work quality (51.4%), good counseling (100%), good improvement (66.2%), good work design (59.5%), good superior leadership (54.1%), good reward system ( 75,7%), good stake holder support (98,6%), active family planning participants increased (56.8%). It is recommended to improve performance through increasing training/workshops both in quantity and quality, increasing the budget for activities, awarding certificates and prizes, adding PKB personnel with a 1:2 ratio, increasing monitoring and evaluation activities, as well as increasing PPKBD/Poktan coaching with meetings. direct or virtual, strengthen synergy with cross-sectors, and increase advocacy with relevant policy makers.

Abstract

Breasts in general will be enlarged, hard, and uncomfortable because of the increased blood supply to the breasts along with the production of milk. But sometimes breast enlargement can cause pain so that the mother's milk does not come out freely. This study aims to determine the combination of papeda and katuk leaves on the smooth production of breast milk. Quasi-experimental research In the experimental and control groups (n=20) selected using the Cluster Random Sampling technique with the criteria of postpartum mothers who were treated for at least 3 days, gave breast milk with a frequency of fewer than 12 times in 1 day and did not experience psychological disorders. The instrument used is an observation sheet. the provision of warm papeda (Metroxylon sp) compresses with the addition of Sauropus Androgynus was given 2 times, in the morning and evening for 7 days. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney test. The Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference between the treatment group and the control group, with a P-value of 0.000 which was P <0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant effect of warm papeda compresses by mixing Sauropus Androgynus on the smooth production of breast milk.

Abstract

Background: Contraceptive IUD is a contraceptive device that is inserted into the uterus, made of materials such as plastic, some are wrapped in copper, 3 and have various shapes. The spiral form is a form of IUD contraception that is widely known and known to the general public. Research Objectives: To determine the relationship between knowledge, age and parity simultaneously with the selection of the Intra Uterine Device (IUD) in Lubuk Batang Lama Village, Lubuk Batang Lama Village, Lubuk Batang Public Health Center, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2021. Methods: Analytical Survey with Cross Sectional Design. This study uses primary data with a sample of 77 respondents. Research Results: Based on univariate analysis, 60 respondents (77.9%) chose IUD Contraception and 17 respondents (22.1%). 60 people (77.9%) lack knowledge and 17 people (22.1%). There are 23 people who are not at risk (29.9%) and 57 people who are at risk (70.1%). Low parity as many as 45 people (58.4%) and high parity as many as 32 people (41.6%). From the results of the bivariate analysis, it was found that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and the choice of IUD contraception with p value = 0.000, there was a significant relationship between age and the choice of IUD contraception with p value = 0.040, there was a significant relationship between parity and the choice of IUD contraception with p value = 0.047. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge, age and parity with the selection of the Intra Uterine Device (IUD) in Lubuk Batang Lama Village, Lubuk Batang Lama UPTD Working Area of Lubuk Batang Health Center, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2021. Suggestion: It is hoped that health workers can improve health services at the puskesmas in motivating candidates family planning acceptors, especially IUD contraception.

Abstract

Breadkground: Indonesia is a country with the fourth largest population in the world, so the government has launched the use of contraception. The most popular contraceptive is injection contraception by 34.3%. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between age, parity and education with the choice of 3-month injection KB in Banuayu Village, Lubuk Batang District, Ogan Ulu Regency in 2021. The research design was an analytical survey and a cross sectional approaches. The population in this study were all active family planning acceptors in Banuayu Village, Lubuk Batang District, OKU Regency and registered in the MCH/KB registration starting from January - July 2021 as many as 489 family planning acceptors who were still active and the number of samples was 83 respondents, 11 pill acceptors, 3 IUD acceptors, 12 natural family planning acceptors, 5 implant acceptors and 52 3 month family planning injection acceptors. The sampling technique used is systematic random sampling. The data collection tool is in the form of a check list. The data were processed univariately and bivariately by using the Chi-Square test with p value value (0.05). This research was conducted in August 2021. The results of the Chi Square statistical test stated that there was no significant relationship between age and the choice of 3-month injection KB with p-value = 0.756; there is no significant relationship between parity and the choice of 3-month injection KB with a p-value of 1,000; and there is a significant relationship between education and the choice of 3-month injection KB with a p-value of 0.004.

Abstract

Backkground: Based on data from the Ministry of Health 2020, the coverage of infants receiving exclusive breastfeeding in South Sumatra Province in 2019 was 57.79%. Based on data from the Banyuasin District Health Office in 2019, the coverage of infants receiving exclusive breastfeeding was 56.3%. Based on data from the Sukajadi Banyuasin Health Center in 2020, exclusive breastfeeding for breastfeeding mothers reached 64.6%. Nutritional status, sleep patterns, and breast care are factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status, sleep patterns, and maintenance of sleep patterns with exclusive breastfeeding at the Sukajadi Banyuasin Public Health Center. This research is a type of cross sectional research, namely research to study the correlation between factors by approach, observation or data collection with 30 respondents using accidental sampling technique. The independent variables used were nutritional status, sleep patterns, and breast care, while the dependent variable was exclusive breastfeeding. This study uses univariate and bivariate data analysis techniques. The results of this study obtained that the results of the Chi Square statistical test of nutritional status obtained p value = 0.026 (α < 0.05), the results of the Chi Square statistical test of sleep patterns obtained 0.030 (α < 0.05), the results of the Chi Square statistical test of breast care obtained p value = 0.022(α < 0.05). From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between nutritional status, sleep patterns, and breast care with exclusive breastfeeding at Puskesmas Sukajadi Banyuasin.

Abstract

Background: Chronic energy deficiency is a condition where a pregnant woman suffers from a lack of food intake that lasts for a long time (chronic or chronic) which results in health problems, so that the increased nutritional needs during pregnancy cannot be met. The purpose of the study was to know the factors associated with the incidence of chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women in the work area of the Appeal Agung Inpatient Health Center in 2021. The research method was a quantitative research type of descriptive research using a cross sectional approach. using accidental sampling technique. The population in the study amounted to 245 people and the number of samples was 71 respondents. The results of the univariate analysis of respondents based on chronic energy deficiency were 48 people (67.6%), respondents based on economic status were 43 people (60.6%), respondents based on diet were 45 people (63.4%). Respondents based on knowledge amounted to 45 people (63.4%). The results ofthe bivariate analysis were a significant relation, honor between economic status with ap value of 0.000 <0.05, knowledge with ap value of 0.009 and eating patterns with ap value of 0.000 statistically proven. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between economic status, knowledge and eating patterns in the Working Area of the Great Appeal Inpatient Health Center in 2021. Suggestions for health workers Improve the quality of health services, especially services in antenatal care services. The need for counseling as often as possible about the nutrition of pregnant women to prevent chronic energy deficiency. Respondents based on diet were 45 people (63.4%).

Abstract

Background: One way to reduce the infant mortality is through the Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (EIB) and continued with the exclusive breastfeeding until the baby reaches 6 months old. The Government Regulation No. 33 of 2012 instructs the Local Governments and the Private Sectors to work together to encourage the exclusive breastfeeding and early initiation of breastfeeding (EIB). Through the Government Regulations, the government formalizes the women's right to breastfeed (including at the workplace) and bans the promotion of breast milk substitutes. The objective of this study was to know the relationship of education, EIB, and parity with the exclusive breastfeeding. The research design used in this study was the analytical survey method with the cross sectional design. The population in this study contained 76 mothers having babies aged 7-12 months at the work area of ​​Puskesmas Muara Burnai, Lemembu Jaya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, who were successful in giving the exclusive breastfeeding. Based on the results of the study that used the chi-square statistical test, it was found that there was a significant relationship between education and exclusive breastfeeding with the p. value = 0.001, there was a significant relationship between EIB and exclusive breastfeeding with the p. value = 0.000, there was a significant relationship between parity and exclusive breastfeeding with the p. value = 0.002. It could be concluded that there was a significant relationship between education, EIB, and parity with exclusive breastfeeding. It is recommended that the health workers at Puskesmas Muara Burnai,

Abstract

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF recommend that mothers, if possible, give exclusive breastfeeding for up to 6 months by applying Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (MDI) for approximately 1 hour immediately after the birth of the baby, exclusive breastfeeding is given to the baby only breast milk without additional food. or drinks, breast milk is given on demand or according to the baby's needs every day for 24 hours. The purpose of this study was to determine knowledge, lactation facilities, support from superiors by giving breast milk to infants for mothers who work in PO factories. effectiveness in the working area of ​​the Nawangsasi Health Center in 2021. This study used an analytical survey method with a cross sectional approach. The population used in this study were all working mothers who had babies aged 7-24 months at the PO. The utilization of the working area of ​​the Nawangsasi Health Center in 2021 is 50 people. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling by making the entire population a sample of 33 people. The results of univariate analysis were obtained as many as 10 (33.3%) respondents had good knowledge as many as 11 (30.3%) knowledge was quite good and knowledge was not good as many as 12 (36.4%), as many as 26 ( 78.8%) respondents stated that they had lactation facilities and as many as 7 (21.2%) and as many as 22 (66.7%) respondents had supervisor support and as many as 11 (33.3%) respondents did not have supervisor support. From the results of bivariate analysis of data using the chi-square statistical test showing the limit of significance =0.05, it was found that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and breastfeeding for infants in working mothers with p.value 0.007, there was a significant relationship between lactation facilities. with breastfeeding for infants in working mothers with p.value 0.008 and there is a significant relationship between supervisor support and breastfeeding for infants in working mothers with p-value 0.001. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to be a contribution to advice for factory leaders in an effort to increase breastfeeding for infants for working mothers in the working area of ​​the Nawangsasi Health Center. it was found that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and breastfeeding for infants in working mothers with p.value 0.007, there was a significant relationship between lactation facilities. with breastfeeding for infants in working mothers with p.value 0.008 and there is a significant relationship between supervisor support and breastfeeding for infants in working mothers with p-value 0.001.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of prolonged labor is the 3rd cause of maternal mortality in Indonesia. The incidence of prolonged labor in 2007 and 2012 remains the same, namely 5%. Prolonged labor can cause complications for the mother and fetus. Factors that affect prolonged labor include maternal factors, fetal factors, and birth canal factors. Based on a preliminary survey in the Lubuk Bay Health Center Working Area in 2020, there were 435 deliveries where it was known that there were 58 cases of delivery referrals of which 28 cases were due to prolonged labor, 13 cases of post-term pregnancy, 17 cases of Pre-eclampsia and other causes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mal presentation, contraction and infant weight with the incidence of prolonged labor in the Teluk Lubuk Health Center Work Area in 2020. This type of research was analytic using a cross-sectional design. This research will be conducted in August 2021. The population in this study were all mothers who gave birth in January-December 2020. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. This research data uses secondary data. The results of univariate analysis are known to be more than half (51.8%) with an abnormal presentation. more than half of respondents with abnormal contractions (50.4%). more than half (61.3%) the weight of the baby is at risk. more than half (51.8%) of mothers with prolonged labor. From the results of the chi-square test, there is a relationship between malpresentation and prolonged labor, it is obtained that P value = 0.000. there is a relationship between contractions and prolonged labor, the P value = 0.005. the weight of infants with prolonged labor obtained P value = 0.001. So it is recommended to improve the quality of services, especially health services for pregnant women by running an integrated ANC program with quality.
