Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the greatest prevalence of smokers in the world. Exposure to cigarette smoke can lead to the physiological impact for women that can inhibit estrogen synthesis in the ovaries and increase levels of Malondyaldehyde (MDA). The purpose of this study to analyze the effect of vitamin E against MDA and estrogen rat (Rattus norvegicus) females were exposed to smoke. This research is an experimental design Post-Test Only Control Group. The total sample consisted of 30 rats females were divided into 5 groups: negative control group without treatment, the positive control group were given exposure to cigarette smoke 1 cigarettes / day and 3 treatment groups P1, P2 and P3 with vitamin E doses of multilevel: 100, 200 and 400 mg / kg / day and exposure to tobacco smoke 1 cigarettes / day. Research carried out for 21 days at Animal house and in the Biomedical Laboratory Faculty of Medicine, University of Andalas Padang. MDA and estrogen hormone levels were measured using ELISA method. Test of significance with One Way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni Multiple Comparisons types. The results showed significant differences (p <0.05) MDA levels between the negative control group (0.53 ± 0.04) positive control group (0.67 ± 0.07). In the estrogen levels also differed significantly (p <0.05) between the negative control group (0.27 ± 0.04) with P2 group (0.38 ± 0.07). In conclusion, there is no effect of vitamin E against MDA both in the negative control group and positive control group.

Abstract

Managing labor pain takes care maternal affection which according to the WHO document describes one way to provide care that is dear mother called the Safe Motherhood. Where there are 10 steps to provide the maternal affection care delivery care in the method of pain relief without the use of drugs. TENS nonpharmacological method one can increase the comfort of the mother during labor and have an influence on effective coping to the experience of childbirth This study aims to determine "TENS effect on the first stage of labor pain intensity active phase ". This research is a quantitative research with experimental designs with post test only control group design. The study group was divided into a control group and TENS. The study was conducted in BPM Rahmadina Rosa Pekanbaru in October 2019 s / d in January 2020. Samples 20 to TENS group and 20 for the control group, so the total sample of 40 samples. Research instrument using TENS affixed to (T10-L1) and point(2-S4) on primigravida performed two times at 4 cm cervical dilatation and opening of the cervix 8 cm for 15 minutes. Using pain measurement tool Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). The results of analysis of influence between the intervention group and control the intensity TENS pain in the cervical opening 4 cm, found that most of the pain level in the medium category TENS group, while the control group level of pain mostly in the weight category. However, based on the statistical test obtained by value p> 0.05, it can be concluded there was no difference in the intervention group and the control TENS at 4 cm cervical dilatation. While the results of analysis of the effect of TENS group to the intensity of pain in the cervical opening 8 cm, shows that there is a difference between intervention and control groups, Statistical test results obtained value of p <0.05, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in the intervention group and the control TENS. TENS conclusion may affect the reduction of pain intensity in the first stage of labor is the active phase, where both are used in TENS 8 cm cervical dilatation. This means that there are differences in the perceived reduction in pain intensity respondents in the intervention group with the control.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) states that around 60-90% of school-aged children have teeth caries. From the data of Basic Health Research 2013, it is stated that teeth caries patients are 53.2%. In Bandung City, the caries rate is 53.9%, while in Puskesmas (Public Health Center) Cijagra Lama, the teeth caries incident rate on children that mostly occurs in SDN (Public Elementary School) 115 turangga is 89%. The objective of this research is to find out the effect of health promotion with modified halma simulation on the influence of health promotion with halma simulation on knowledge level of teeth caries prevention in 1st grade students of SDN 115 Turangga Bandung City. The type of this research is pretest-posttest one group design on a population of 46 children. The data collection technique is conducted with halma simulation and questionnaire. The data analysis used is univariate and bivariate with Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test. The result of this research analysis shows that there is an effect of modified halma simulation health promotion on the level of knowledge in teeth caries prevention on those 1st graders, with p-value rate (2-tailed) is <0.05, and the significance level (.Sig) is 0.013. Based on the research result, it is necessary to conduct a further research on the behavior in preventing teeth caries on the higher grades.

Abstract

The 2015 IRR data showed that hemodialysis service facilities in Indonesia were classified into two institutions, namely 92.1% hospital installations and 7.9% clinics. The cost burden incurred by BPJS for the treatment of kidney failure was the second largest sequence after heart disease. Costs incurred in 2014 amounted to 1.6 trillion rupiahs, increased to 2.7 trillion rupiahs in 2015 and decreased slightly in 2016 to 2.5 trillion rupiahs. Success in maintaining kidney health and restoring kidney function to CKD patients requires knowledge as a guide in implementing healthy living behavior for people who are still healthy kidney and undergoing dialysis therapy for CKD patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge of hemodialysis and treatment of carrying out hemodialysis at the Hospital Unit of Santa Elisabeth Medan in 2018. This type of survey research was explanatory. The research sample was 30 people, using a total sample with consecutive sampling technique. Methods of data analysis used univariate and bivariate with p value 0.001, meaning that there was a relationship between knowledge of hemodialysis and adherence to hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Unit of the Hospital Elisabeth of Medan. Further analysis obtained OR value of 22,667 with 95% CI (3,140 -163,629), meaning that CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis who were obeyed 22,667 times were likely to have good knowledge about hemodialysis compared with CKD patients undergoing non-adherent hemodialysis. Students are expected to provide health education,

Statistical test results using the Spearman rank Correlation test obtained correlation value of 0.031 with a significance level of 5% (degree of confidence α = 95%). Value of 0.031 <0.05, then Ho is rejected or it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family readiness and quality of life for terminal illness patients with a correlation strength of 0.382.
