Abstract

Improving the quality of independent human resources needs to be supported by a balanced nutritional state which must be supported by the availability of sufficient food at a price that is stable and affordable by the purchasing power of the general public. The results of the national census survey revealed that the percentage of news that was nutritious for workers was 70.88% in 2012 and in 2013 it fell to 69.59%. Toddlers with less or bad teeth by 25.82% in the same year with an increase to 28.17% in the following year. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the mother's level of knowledge about nutritious food and the nutritional status of children under five in the Pancuran Bamboo sub-district, Sambas sub-district, Sibolga city in 2018. This type of research was go relative with a sample of 62 respondents. Sampling was carried out by collecting data on all patients who came to the Pancuran Bambu sub-district, Sambas Selatan sub-district, Sibolga in 2018. Based on the results, it is known that the respondents' knowledge about nutritious food for toddlers is 52 people (83.9%) good knowledgeable and the minority has less knowledge 4 people (6.5%). Characteristics of respondents it is known that the age of the majority of respondents aged 27-31 years as many as 46 people (74.2%), it is known that the education of the majority of respondents has a high school education as many as 39 people (62.9%), and the type of work of the majority of respondents work as entrepreneurs, namely as many as 38 people (61.3%). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge about nutritious food and the nutritional status of toddlers in Pancuran Bambu Village, Sambas District, Sibolga City in 2018 because P <0.05 (p = 0.00) and r count > r table (r count = 0.650> r table = 0.244. It is necessary to increase nutritional knowledge through intensive and continuous counseling activities carried out through Posyandu activities, social gathering, or religious activities.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) or diabetes abbreviated is a health disorder in the form of a collection of symptoms caused by an increase in blood sugar (glucose) levels due to insulin deficiency or resistance. This study aims to determine the factors that cause dietary non-compliance in the elderly with diabetes mellitus in the work area of the Pintu Angin City Health Center in Sibolga City in 2018. The research design used was analytical descriptive. Sampling technique is accidental sampling as many as 86 respondents. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire sheet. Analysis of the data using the Chi Sguare Test Statistical test.

Abstract

The condition of the house and the environment that does not meet health requirements is a risk factor for the transmission of various diseases, especially environmental-based diseases. The physical environment of the house that does not meet the requirements is a risk factor. Poor home sanitation can cause toddlers to get diarrhea. This study aims to determine the relationship between the physical environment of the house and the incidence of diarrhea in the sand in the Sarudik sub-district, Tapanuli district in 2019. The sample is 135 households. The instrument is a demographic data questionnaire. The Chi Square test shows that there is a relationship between the physical environment and the incidence of diarrhea. Increased public knowledge in the field of environmental health, especially regarding the sanitation of the residential environment (PLP)/house sanitation.

Abstract

The API rate in Bawootalua Village, Lahusa District for the last 3 years (2016 - 2018) according to the Lahusa Health Center (Puskesmas Lahusa, 2018) there are still malaria cases. Until now, in Bawootalua Village, Lahusa District, with this condition no research has been conducted on the factors that influence the incidence of Malaria in the area. The study design used was cross sectional with the research population being all residents in Selakambang Village. Samples were taken with a total sampling technique of 138 people. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire sheet with a relationship analysis using the Chi Square test .

Abstract

One of the specific nutrition interventions and efforts to overcome nutritional problems is by applying the behavior of Kadarzi (nutrition conscious family). Kadarzi is a program that has been implemented in Indonesia since 2007 until now. Based on nutrition development activities in North Sumatra in 2015, several indicators of Kadarzi were obtained, namely toddlers weighed 74.2% and a target of 80%, exclusive breastfeeding 57% of the 80% target, the use of iodized salt by 79.6% of the 90% target and the provision of nutritional supplements by 90.5% from the target of 90%. The type of research used is a quantitative study with a cross sectional research design, the sampling technique used is total sampling. The population in this study were all toddlers aged 6-59 months in the work area of the Lotu Health Center in 2019 as many as 147 toddlers. The study was conducted to determine the relationship between the application of nutrition-aware families and nutritional status. The results showed that the level of application of nutritionally aware families was good, there were 138 (94.2%) toddlers whose nutritional status was normal, from 9 respondents whose level of application of nutritionally aware families was less, there were 3 (2.1%) toddlers whose nutritional status was normal, and 6 toddlers whose nutritional status is not good. Based on statistical tests using the Chi Square test, the results showed that there was a significant relationship between the application of nutrition-aware families and the nutritional status of children under five with a p-value (0.001).

Abstract

Abstract

Based on the 2015 MDG's target, the prevalence of malnutrition and under-five children is 15.5%, this prevalence rate is included in the high category. From the results of the monitoring report on the nutritional status of children under five at the Alasa Public Health Center, which is one of the health centers in North Nias, the cases of malnutrition and malnutrition in children under five are still high, with a prevalence of 9.93%. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the nutritional status of children under five. The population of mothers who have toddlers by means of sampling is done by simple random. The sample in this study was 15% of the total population as many as 65 people. Data were collected using the Chi-Square test.

Abstract

Smoking is one habit that is difficult to break. Moreover, currently smoking has become a national problem, and even internationally. Smoking behavior seen from various points of view is very detrimental, both for oneself (active) and those around them (passive). The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between smoking behavior and the incidence of bronchitis in Sawit Hulu Village, Sawit Seberang District in 2019 and to determine smoking behavior in Sawit Hulu Village, Sawit Seberang District, to determine the incidence of bronchitis in Sawit Hulu Village, Sawit Seberang District. To find out the relationship between smoking behavior and bronchitis incidence in Sawit Hulu Village, Sawit Seberang District in 2019.The results showed that from 38 respondents the majority of good behavior were 25 respondents (68.5%) and bad minority were 13 respondents (34.2%) and the majority of the incidence of Acute bronchitis were 24 respondents (63.2%) and chronic minority were 14. respondents (36.8%).

Abstract

Diet is one way to treat hypertension without serious side effects because of its natural control methods. Reducing salt intake, increasing fiber, stopping bad habits such as smoking, drinking coffee, consuming alcohol, using vegetables and herbs and taking medication regularly will help in lowering blood pressure. The eating factor in dietary compliance is an important thing to consider in hypertensive patients. Patients with hypertension should adhere to a hypertension diet in order to prevent further complications. Patients with hypertension must continue to carry out a hypertension diet every day with the presence or absence of pain and symptoms. The purpose of the hypertension diet and hypertension treatment is to control the blood pressure of hypertensive patients to remain stable or normal blood pressure so that they can avoid hypertension and prevent complications, especially the heart and blood vessels that can cause death. The results of the study were 31 respondents, the majority of patients aged 45-59 years with a total of 18 people (58.1) and a minority at the age of 60-75 years with a total of 13 people (41.9).

Abstract

Diarrhea is the leading cause of death for children under five years old, diarrhea kills around 760,000 children under five every year and globally there are nearly 1.7 billion diarrheal diseases each year. The type of research used is descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers about clean and healthy living on the incidence of diarrhea in the elderly. The population in this study were all mothers who had children under five (1-5 years old) who suffered from diarrhea in the village of Brandan Timur Baru as many as 30 people. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 30 people. The results of statistical tests obtained that there was a relationship between knowledge about clean and healthy living on the incidence of diarrhea in children under five, with a degree of significance (α) = 0, 05 and df = 2, the calculation results are Sig (2-tailed) 0.032 < (α) = 0.05, there is a relationship between attitudes about clean living on the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with the degree of significance (α) = 0.05 and df = 1, the calculation result is Sig (2-tailed) 0.007 < (α) = 0.05. Mother's knowledge can be increased through an intensive approach to the problem of diarrheal disease by providing counseling on clean and healthy living.
