Abstract

The aim of current study is to analyze the effects of cigarette sales promotion girl’s appearances as measured from sexiness level of uniform and ethnicity towards young smokers and non-smokers behavior and buying interest, which is represented through attitude towards the brand, and purchase intention. It was measured by nine different appearances of the cigarette sales promotion girl as the combination of sexiness level (casual, moderate, high) and ethnicity (Chinese descent, Native Indonesian and Western mix), and then it will be seen in influencing the attitude towards the model, attitude towards the brand, and purchase intention. As a quantitative research using experimental method between subjects designs, this study analyzes 507 subjects, divided into 278 young non-smokers and 229 young smokers. For non-smokers respondents, the sexiness level and ethnicity do affect the attitude toward the model but not the attitude towards the brand and purchase intention. Meanwhile, the result from the smoking respondents shows that the sexiness level and ethnicity do affect the attitude toward the model, attitude toward the brand and purchase intention. Moreover, young non-smokers give more positive response to the Western mix sales promotion girl wearing high level of sexy uniform, while young smokers give more positive response to the Native Indonesian and Western mix sales promotion girl wearing moderate level of sexy unform.

Abstract

This article examines the role of behavioral targeting ads on the amount of donations on the condition of environmentally friendly products. Data from 240 college students were used to examine the main effect of behavioral targeting ads towards donating behavior, as well as the moderating effects of social identity and product positioning. The effect of social identity is based on the protection and improvement of self-concept. The threat to self-concept intuitively will be related to which identity is the strongest. Implication for managers is considered.

Abstract

The research at the Jakarta History Museum aims to find out the motivation of tourists consisting of physical motivation, cultural motivation, interpersonal motivation and prestige motivation influencing the decision to visit the Jakarta History Museum. This research includes quantitative research using a descriptive approach. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents using the Probability Sampling technique with Simple Random sampling, which is done randomly regardless of the strata in that population. Data analysis techniques use multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. Testing the hypothesis with the t test shows that tourist motivation consisting of physical motivation, cultural motivation, prestige / status motivation has a significant influence on visiting decisions. While the motivation of tourists from interpersonal motivation does not have a significant influence on visiting decisions. From the f test shows the results of tourist motivation variables consisting of physical motivation, cultural motivation, prestige or status motivation together have a significant influence on visiting decisions. While the value of R square is equal to 0.571. This means that tourist motivation only affects the visiting decision of 57.1%. And the rest is influenced by other variables not included in this study. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a simultaneous influence on physical motivation, cultural motivation, and status motivation on visiting decisions, whose meaning in that dimension is quite good and needs to be maintained. Whereas in the dimension of interpersonal motivation there is no simultaneous influence on visiting decisions, and it needs to be increased in that dimension.

Abstract

The level of expenditure centers in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year, but at the same time there has been a decline in several expenditure centers. One XYZ mall was struggling to survive amid the growth of new malls. The purpose of this study is analyze the factors that have an impact on frequency of visits and purchase intention at XYZ mall. This study uses quantitative attributes of causality, the research model uses Partial Least Squares regression with the number of respondents used as many as 102. The results of this study found that both communication/promotion and convenience have significant influence on frequency of visits, while tenant variety, internal environment and leisure mix do not. Frequency of visits is proven to have positive variations and reinforcement to mediate.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of organizational culture and job satisfaction towards employee turnover intention. The method used in this study is using quantitative method. Primary data were obtained by distributing printed questionnaires to 70 employees of Bank XYZ in Jakarta. The result of this study identified the impact of innovation and risk taking, people orientation, also team orientation as the characteristics of organizational culture with benefit and compensation, relation with co-worker and opportunity for promotion as the characteristics of job satisfaction toward employee turnover intention. The company can get insight for improving its organizational culture and job satisfaction to reduce the number of employee turnover intention.
