Abstract

The phenomenon of social media blogging Steemit over the last two years become a new trend in Indonesian society, especially in Aceh. Social media Steemit offers the latest system different from other social media with an emphasis on a blockchain system that rewards steem of dollars to its users. The outbreak of the use of Steemit media has led to the creation of communities within the community, known as the Indonesian Steemit Community (KSI), and one of them is in West Aceh called KSI Barsela. Steemit users who are members of this community then known as Steemian. Through this community of Steemian interaction to facilitate the achievement of reward in Steemit. In this case, communication becomes the main thing required in social interaction, one of which is role communication. The purpose of this study is to see how the role of communication performed by Steemian Barsela in the community. With the theory approach used is Role Theory to see three aspects: role expectation, role demands, and role skills. While the type of research is qualitative descriptive, with the method of observation and interview. The results of research on three aspects of the role illustrate that every Steemian in the community should promote effective forms of group communication in behaving and interacting with other Steemians.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain Frank Jefkins Public Relations qualifications in the Islamic perspective. This qualification is the ability to communicate that is relevant to the recommendations of the Qur'an using the principles of communication qaulan sadida, karima, baligha, ma'rufa, layyina and qaulan maysura as effective communication in building harmonious relationships among others. PR practitioners must also have the ability to organize that is able to manage the organization with management principles. Islam declares about management by maintaining the mandate of each delegation of tasks given and is able to close ranks together to gain great strength in problems solving. In addition, the ability to establish relationships with other people is also a determining factor for public relations practitioners, which is also explained in the Qur'an that humans are created in plurality but are encouraged to always be friendly and make a difference as a force. Integrity, as an ethical behavior of every human being in living is according to religious and state rules. While creativity is explained in Islam as a necessity, so humans must always use reason to think creatively in producing PR programs and solve problems.

Abstract

This article explains how the mass media become a means of political communication in Indonesia. In communication process, it needs channels (media channel) to convey a message that aims to influence the communicant to what the communicator wants. The mass media is a political campaign tool that is considered quite effective in influencing attitudes and behavior public. So that a number of national political elites take part in establishment and ownership of a number of mass media companies in Indonesia. This will certainly impact on the credibility and media function in democracy which makes the mass media considered to no longer play an important role in guarding the democratic process. However this only becomes a campaign tool for positive imaging of candidates and political groups in the election process.

Abstract

The most important form of da'wah is calling people to the right path blessed by Allah. Therefore, it is important to develop da'wah content derived from the Quran such as from the verses in the Surah Ad-Dhuha. The surah is the Meccan surah, revealed to the Prophet in Mecca. Based on its content, interpretation, and revelation motives, it is apparent that the Surah conveys da'wah content such as aqeeda, sharia and akhalaq. Every verse in the Surah has been relevant for quote in facing the past and current social dynamic of Muslim and non-Muslim societies.

Abstract

This article discusses the resilience of transsexuals to community rejection. Transexuality is a social phenomenon in society. Not only because of gender, it also a matter of their attitudes and behavior that incline towards feminism. Therefore, most people in society do not accept the presence of those transsexuals. Even among their own families their change of identity is not acceptable. The writer uses descriptive qualitative research to explain the obtained phenomenon about the resilience of the transsexuals. The data are obtained based on interviews, documentation and literature. It is explained that basically there are some people who accept and reject the presence of transsexuals, but bullying, discrimination, family rejection and others contribute to the process of these transsexualse resilience. It might occur because some people consider identity change of the transsexuals is unnatural, although basically many factors may cause a person to change their identity into a transsexual, including the environment, family and social life. Hence, it is undeniable that there needs to be some solutions to those problems. in order to create a life without discrimination for the transsexuals

Abstract

Some candidates must already build up its image ahead of time in the process of seeking support and gain much public sympathy. Politicians, as a political communicator, to be able to make an effective political communication with the masses in order to build an image (images buildings), restore the image (image recovery), and maintaining the image (maintenance of image). In an occasion democratic party that is Election legislature that had elapsed, the authors wanted to examine and analyze return strategies Legislative Candidates who have been successful in grabbing power, especially candidates DPRK, political movements and the forces of what he achieved before the democratic party took place, on that occasion the author examines this issue in the province of Aceh Regency of Southwest Aceh District of Manggeng. In this paper, entitled "Political Communication Strategies candidates in the campaign in Southwest Aceh". The author wants to analyze the communication strategies of political candidates Manggeng in the sub-district just ahead Legislative Candidates and what factors influence people's behavior towards lection Manggeng candidates. This paper uses methodology includes a variety of methods and approaches used to achieve the goals and objectives of the study. Planning research methodology should be done regularly. In this study, using a qualitative descriptive study based locally by interviewing respondents, Candidate Legislative and local communities. Analysis of these results ranging from Manggeng Legislative Candidates Political Communication Strategies, Public needs candidates in the campaign, and the phenomenon of the field during the campaign. Most of the communication strategy in the sub-district Manggeng Political candidates have leverage in persuading or influencing the community in its campaign, the form of strategy do the candidates are using billboards, make political meetings with the community, and help distribute the infrastructure according to the needs of society Manggeng. To improve the livelihoods of fellow Muslims would be wonderful in this political strategy we conducted in accordance with good political ethics that has been regulated by the State and which has been set by Islam.

Abstract

Media company becomes a unique company in the industrial sector of Indonesia. On the one hand, media has to keep its independence in running the activities. On another hand, media is an industry, thus it certainly runs for profits. Keeping the independence in a media industry requires a skillful management. In this context, studying the politic economy of the media becomes necessary. The business of the media starts from selling the prints, advertisements, and is getting more developed these days. This paper studies the transformation of mass media in Indonesia from the perspective of politic economy.

Abstract

Prophet Muhammad SAW, has used the treatise as his own communication media, where he is a illiterate (Ummi). Even so, preach in treatise (correspondence) was still carried out with the help of the Prophet's friend who was a good writer. 12 Early Rabiul of elephant is the date of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad Subhanahu wata'ala. However, behind the history, if we trace deeper, it turns out that the carrier of Islam is a journalist and even pioneering journalism on this earth. From the activities of the prophet and the companions who carried out to preach in writing, especially those addressed to the kings showed that the foundation of journalism and the press had been laid depend on the conditions and progress of the people at that time.
