Abstract

The 4.0 of industrial revolution had a considerable impact on the advancement of media and information technology. The flow of information that can no longer be dammed causes anyone, as a media user, to be ready and have a filter to use it. The impact of the media has a great influence on the younger generation. The ease of access makes this media an inseparable important part of adolescents, including teenagers in Pekanbaru City. However, in today’s reality not a few teenagers who are trapped in the nature of access. This phenomenon is of concern to researchers to find out how media literacy experiences among teenagers in Pekanbaru City by Individual Competence Framework. Adolescents referred to in this study are students who sit in the Senior High School in the City of Pekanbaru, which is a representation of the teenagers. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study indicate that media literacy experience in adolescents in Pekanbaru city is a three level of adolescent, there are: technical skills at the medium level, and critical understanding at the basic level. At the level of non-formal education, adolescents barely get it from the family, but instead get it from the peergroup.

Abstract

Abstract New media is growing so rapidly that it causes the television industry as an old media must have adapt these changes. One of the strategies carried out by the television industry is doing mediamorphosis and convergence to remain competitive. This study aims to examine the mediamorphosis by TV One as the news television industry in Indonesia and the journalistic convergence applied by TV One with other media incorporated in Viva Group, namely ANTV and Viva.co.id. In this study used constructivism paradigm, qualitative methodology, and phenomenological research methods. The results of the study showed that mediamorphosis was implemented by TV One with conducting journalistic convergence which included newsroom convergence newsgathering, and content convergence. TV One Editor collaborates directly with other media who are members of Viva Group. TV One as a news center. The conclusion of this study is that TV One has not implemented all levels of journalistic convergence because there are significant differences in news content among the three media that are incorporated in Viva Group. However, the decision of TV One, as a news television, to conduct journalistic convergence is one step forward to maintain its existence and provide the best service to viewers.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology and information has become a challenge for the development of libraries today. In its research UNESCO stated that the index of reading interest in Indonesian people was concern only 0,001%, meaning that there were only one person from a thousand Indonesian people (Liputan6.com, 2017). In order for libraries to be of interest to people in the current technological era, one needs to do various innovations, one of which is in promotional activities so that the public knows and knows the services that are in the library and ultimately uses them. The use of social media as a means of promotion of the East Belitung Regency library is very important, because today’s society is not separated from the use of social media as a means of information and communication. This study aims to determine the use of social media as a means of promoting the library in the Regional Public Library of East Belitung Regency. The research method used in qualitative with a descriptive approach, by describing the object of research based on facts in the field and using informant as a source of data by conducting interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the research conducted, it shows that the use of social media as a means of promoting the East Belitung Regency library results includes four things, namely: website, social networking (Facebook and Instagram) and YouTube.

Abstract

This article examines Lion Air's public relations (PR) strategy in the face of the crisis that occurred after the collapse of the JT610 aircraft. The purpose of writing this article is to find out what strategies are taken by Lion Air's PR to restore the company's reputation. In this study data collection refers to document analysis. The results of the study indicate that PR Lion Air has taken actions that can help companies to correct any consequences caused by the crisis. Lion Air PR through the website (www.lionair.co.id) provides information to the public about what is being done and what Lion Air will plan to solve the proble.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the Public Relations strategy of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) in disseminating the Financial Information Law to Financial Services Institusions (LJK). In other words, the relationship between tax authorities and LJK is ultimately beneficial for DGT to strengthen the taxation database and increase LJK tax awareness. This study used qualitative method, because in qualitative research it it very relevant to describe the findings of research concerning the relationship of DGT Public Relations with LJK. The result showed that in the dissemination and communication of information on the Financial Information Law, the DGT implemented a Public Relations strategy through communicators, messages and used selected media, so that the DGT could take steps in the socialization and education program for the financial services institution.
