Abstract

At PT. Arya Wira Dinamika is a contracting company engaged in mining & construction contracts. This research is for the Retubing Furnance work 018F-102 Green Refinery Revamp TDHT PHASE-1 in the FOC-2 Pertamina RU IV Area because the work place is at a height and has limited activity space in the oil processing kitchen, the risk of hazard is fairly high. This study was conducted to analyze occupational risks using the HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, & Risk Control) method. Based on the analyzed data, it was found that there are 10 risks of work accidents in the work process of Retubing Furnance 018F-102 Green Refinery Revamp, there is 1 type of activity that is categorized as small risk, 5 types of activity with moderate risk category, and 4 types of risk with high category. From the results of the HIRARC analysis and assessment, workers are required to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with the regulations from the company and from Pertamina RU IV and the type of work carried out and must comply with the SOPs applicable to the company.

Abstract

Electrinic Fuel Injection (EFI) a system that supplies fuel from the tank electronically with a mixture of air that suits fuel needs so that vehicle power remains maximum with minimal fuel consumption to produce environmentally friendly emissions. The fuel injection system is an innovation step that is being developed and applied to motor vehicles today. The purpose of the study was to find out the characteristics of the 2007 Honda Jazz I-DSI engine using the parameters of maximum torque, maximum power, average effective pressure (Brake Mean Effective Pressure) and specific fuel consumption (Specific Fuel Consumption). The method used is direct observation of the problems related to this study. Torque as the rotation of the Honda Jazz i-DSI engine shaft has a higher torque. This shows that the Honda Jazz engine has a higher torque value to improve engine performance. Effective engine power occurs at engine shaft revolutions of 1000 to 5000 rpm. The specific fuel consumption of the Honda Jazz engine has a higher specific fuel consumption value of 34.23% than the i-DSI with the PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) fuel supply system. At 3500 to 6000 rpm, the Honda Jazz i-DSI engine has a higher specific fuel consumption value compared to the PGM-FI fuel supply system. So the use of fuel using the i-DSI engine is more efficient at low revs because it uses 2 spark plugs, so combustion can be maximized. The thermis efficiency of the Honda Jazz i-DSI engine has a higher thermis efficiency value of 11.15%. Thermis efficiency rises when the engine revs up. Then it can be said that the efficiency of the thermis is directly proportional to the rotation of the engine.

Abstract

This study investigated the performance of a low-cost solar water heater (SWH). The SWH consists of a solar collector with a simple flat plate thermosiphon and water tank. The solar collector has, a glass cover, painted black on an aluminium absorber plate, water pipes and the sides insulated. During the testing process, the temperatures in the SWH were recorded at 1-second intervals by using Advantech Software DAQ Navi Data Logger, which is connected to a laptop via USB-4718, 8-Channel Thermocouple Input Module. The results that the efficiency of the solar collector ranged from 5% to 23%, with an average of 16% at water flow rate of 0.0019 kg/s. In addition, the time required by low-cost SWH to heat the water in a tank of 20 liters to reach its maximum temperature of 48.3°C is 8 hours 36 minutes

Abstract

The development of automotive technology is very fast, we can find this in today's vehicles that use a lot of very sophisticated technology, namely in terms of engines, electricity, and its newest features, especially on two-wheeled vehicles. Therefore, the user community is required to be more selective in choosing a vehicle both in terms of quality and quantity. Including in the selection of spare parts on vehicle engines must use good quality, this is useful as a motorbike power booster, especially in the ignition system, namely spark plugs as a vital tool that sprinkles sparks in the combustion chamber. Recently, many spark plugs have been found that are not good enough so that the power generated by the vehicle is reduced. The purpose of this test is as a Comparative Test of the Endurance of Various Motorcycle Spark Plugs by using a spark plug tester so that it can be seen that the spark plug is suitable or not used in the vehicle which aims to get maximum performance.

Abstract

United Tractors Tbk adalah perusahaan yang menyediakan alat berat, spare parts dan jasa mekanik terkemuka kelas dunia di Indonesia. Service department merupakan salah satu department di perusahaan yang mempunyai peranan penting dan juga memberikan pengaruh dalam pencapaian prestasi perusahaan. Namun masih terdapat beberapa keluhan pelanggan seperti lead time, ketidaksigapan mekanik, dan kurangnya stok parts kerap menjadi alasan ketidakpuasan pelanggan. PT. United Tractor memiliki target ketidakpuasan pelanggan kurang dari 5%, sedangkan angka ketidakpuasan pelanggan mencapai 6% yang terbilang cukup besar, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan pengukuran kepuasan pelanggan service departement PT. United Tractors Tbk Cabang Pekanbaru Menggunakan Metode KANO. Setelah melakukan perhitungan dan pengolahan data sesuai dengan model KANO, maka didapatkan atribut yang harus diperbaiki dengan kategori must-be, one dimension dan attractive agar tingkat kepuasan dari konsumen tersebut meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan metode KANO, didaptkan beberapa atribut yang harus diperhatikan pada kuadran must-be adalah kelengkapan peralatan bengkel, kemampuan staf menjelaskan mengenai perbaikan, biaya, dan estimasi waktu perbaikan kepada pelanggan, kemampuan staf dalam berkomunikasi, menjawab pertanyaan atau keluhan pelanggan, kesigapan mekanik dalam merespond keluhan pelanggan, pengecekan alat berat secara detail, kemudahan memperoleh informasi, dan adanya garansi service apabila pekerjaan melebihi batas waktu, dan juga terjadi trouble shooting.

Abstract

Inventory control is a guarantee that the material to be used in the process must always be available at the minimum possible cost. PT HAKAASTON Sei Langsat is engaged in manufacturing asphalt concrete with asphalt and river stone which has not optimal inventory management, which is characterized by a shortage of raw materials when carrying out the production process and resulting in delays in fulfilling consumer demand. With this problem, a research on raw material inventory was conducted using the continuous review system method which aims to control raw material inventory better and optimally. After conducting analysis and calculations using a continuous review system, the optimal number of orders for asphalt is 44,037 Kg and river stone is 23,259 Kg, asphalt reorder point value is 22,665 Kg and river stone is 1,317,611 Kg, asphalt safety stock is 12,048 Kg and stone times, which is 719,394 Kg, while the total cost of inventory using the continuous review system method is Rp. 4,297,432,432, which is smaller than the total cost based on company policy, which is Rp. 5,408,267,366, and savings of Rp. 1,110,834,934 or 21%.

Abstract

PT. Surya Intisari Raya is a palm oil factory has a factory capacity of 46.5 tons/hour. The engine room station which is a power station using steam which functions to expand steam to produce mechanical energy to drive a generator on a turbine engine. In operation, the machine makes noise. Noise is the emergence of unwanted sound so that it can interfere and endanger hearing health. it is necessary to analyze and control the risk using a conceptual model and noise mapping at the engine room station at PT.SIR, Sei Lukut. Based on the measurement results, the noise level of the generator engine is 92.4 dB, turbine engine 97.7 dB, back pressure vessel (BPV) engine 101.3 dB and turbine engine and BPV engine operating simultaneously 102.1 dB. Abstract

The jack is the main equipment that must be present when driving a car. The presence of a jack is very important in the event of a tire leak or other damage that requires the jack to be operated. The operation of the jack is very difficult if the operator is an elderly person, a disabled person or a woman. Therefore, it is necessary to modify the mechanical jack into an easier electric jack. The purpose of this study was to modify a manual bottle screw jack into an electric jack to make it easier for the operator or driver if the car needs to be lifted using a jack. The modified jack is a type of bottle screw jack using an electric motor. The modification of the jack is done using a DC motor as the main driver to replace human power and other components. The load test was carried out using a Mitsubishi Colt T with a weight of 1000 Kg. The results show that the modified jack helps to reduce the difficulty in operation, reduce time, increase efficiency.

Abstract

Based on business development in the Tanjung Enim Briquette work unit related to the production of Activated Carbon and Carbon Anodes, to support production, work efficiency is needed on the heavy equipment unit, namely Wheel Loaders. In addition, by obtaining work efficiency data, it is possible to evaluate the work of the wheel loader in its operations at the Tanjung Enim Briquette Factory PT. Bukit Asam Tbk. So that there is an increase and optimization of the work/operational quality of the Wheel Loader to achieve the production target. At the Tanjung Enim Briquette factory itself the wheel loader unit plays an important role in supporting the production of Carbonized Briquettes, Non-Carbonized and serves various types of work in the briquette factory such as filling hopper, material mixing or blending, transporting clay and loading raw coal stock. The data collection process for 16 days started on August 2 until August 27, 2021 with the average wheel loader working efficiency of 86.12% in the good category.

Abstract

When conducting a field survey in Terai Bangun Village, Mining District, Regency. Kampar, the results of the interview explained that the amount of waste produced in one week reached 7.2 tons, in one year the waste reached 345.4 tons. The waste generated is 47% organic waste, 45% inorganic waste and 8% hazardous and toxic waste (B3). The purpose of this research is to develop an incinerator, with a household-scale capacity. The efficiency of the combustion rate is expected to be around 500 oC-1000 oC in the combustion chamber. Methods This research performs the work stage in carrying out the design, the design stage aims to obtain designs, patterns, and anarduino uno circuits. In this stage using software, Solidwork 2016, Arduino Uno, and Porteus. design results which include stress, displacement and strain parameters Produce technical drawings that are in accordance with the framework stated in a safe loading condition for the waste burning process.
