Abstract

Coal has ability to store gas in large quantities, because the surface has ability to adsorb gas. This research aimed to investigate and analyze the coal rank and methane gas potentials in Field X of Balikpapan Formation. The research was conducted in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The methods used in the research were the approximate and ultimate analyses as well as the gas analysis at the 19 wells containing coals. The 19 wells were divided into 5 sub Formations called ILX. The research results indicated that the coal rank in the research areas was categorized as the sub-bituminous b up to the high volatile bituminous c. The methane gas content was also categorized as great, i.e. 80.86 scf/ton up to 534,99 scft/ton. The analysis results revealed that the deeper the coal bed, the higher the coal rank and the methane gas content. Based on the previously mentioned results, the coal in Field X possessed good quality and hence had the potential to be the reservoir Coal Bed Methane.

Abstract

Abstract

Majene Regency is an education area in West Sulawesi that has greatly felt the impact of the PSBB that has been implemented, where technically the types of community activities are regulated in the Minister of Health Regulation (PMK) No.9 of 2020 concerning PSBB Guidelines as an Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, including dismissing schools and workplaces, restrictions on religious activities, restrictions on activities in public places, restrictions on socio-cultural activities, restrictions on transportation modes, and restrictions on other activities specifically related to aspects of defense and security, so there is a need for an adaptive infrastructure structuring strategy against the COVID-19 pandemic so that community activities remain can be done well but can also protect the community from the corona virus whichis troubling the community. The purpose of this study is to formulate a strategy for structuring the infrastructure of Majene City which isadaptive to the Covid 19 pandemic. Specifically, the objectives of this study are: (1) Analyzing infrastructure problems that are vulnerable to the spread of the Covid 19 virus, and (2) Formulating a strategy for structuring the infrastructure of Majene City which is adaptive to the covid pandemic 19. The research method used in the infrastructure structuring strategy that is adaptive to the Covid 19 pandemic is an exploratory descriptive analysis method with three stages of analysis techniques used, namely (1) descriptive analysis technique and character appraisal to identify infrastructure problems related to the distribution. corona virus, and (2) SWOT analysis techniques to formulate an adaptive infrastructure structuring strategy for the Covid 19 pandemic. The results achieved were an adaptive infrastructure structuring strategy for the Covid 19 pandemic.

Abstract

Sumare Village Beach has many residential areas located around the coast. The current condition is that many residential areas are located 1-2 m from the coastline and every year when the west season arrives the wave height reaches 2-3 m resulting in abrasion and erosion along the coastline. To handle this, a sea wall building is planned for Sumare Beach and one of the important items is the stability of the Sea Wall construction. The analysis was performed from the existing wave count data with a 25 year return period which aims to obtain the dimensions of the Sea Wall. After obtaining the dimensions, the stability of the building against shear, rolling and bearing capacity will be calculated. The results of this analysis obtained Sea Wall elevation height ± 3.84 m, Sea Wall peak width 1.94 m, Toe Protectin height 1.00 m and Toe Protection width 2.3 m. Stability analysis in normal conditions stability to rolling SF = 15.28> 2 shear SF = 4.5> 2 and soil bearing capacity σmax = 12,10 t/m2 < 112,71 t/m2 and 6,30 t/m2 > 0, and stability analysis in earthquake conditions stability to rolling SF = 5.88> 2 shear SF = 5.65> 2, and soil bearing capacity σmax = 8,51 t/m2 < 112,71 t/m2 and 9.89 t / m2> 0
